505thAirborne replied to HWR MKII's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
After seeing other MW members working on various VF-2SS projects, I decided what the hell, I'll break mine out and finally start working on it! After this one, will be Alto's VF-25F !! -
Those are some sexy pictures! Can't wait to get mine & have time to build it properly!

Well said, well said! -
Now I really wish I still lived in the Northridge, I'd so be there!
-
No real tips or advice to throw your way, but 2 big thumbs up that your building both a Sylvie Gena & Lt. Nexx VF-2SS at the same time, too cool!! I think a heavy weathered appearance would look great on this one!

The VF-2SS is getting some love! Can't wait to see the finished product!

I like that YF-21 Battroid looks good, even for a prototype pic, hell even the VF-1 looks really good. So much good stuff. so little $$$! -
Looks awesome nightmareB4macross! Love the picture in the Hangar bay with all four Cockpits!
-
Looking good Rockhound, keep th epics coming! Just got my YF-19 a few days ago, hope I'll have time to work on it soon, still have my VF-2SS on the work bench to finish!

Yep, the VF-0S/A is called the PHOENIX, just like the VF-1 Valkyrie or the VF-25 Messiah, VF-11B Thunderbolt, etc.
-
Looking good so far codychanzeta! Are you making just the Minmay figure or are you going to make a sort of diorama with the Shower & curtains as well? Possibly Hikaru taking a peek.

New macross saga based movie (Robotech Genesis)

Whether or not the designs were great or not, its a shame their project had to be canceled by HG, Macek for sure. That probably took them a lot of work & effort to make all that footage. Must suck to put years into a project and have it canceled because of selfish people. -

I heard about months ago, I was going to the store and heard on the radio Ridley was making this prequel. Glad to see its definitely official and some details are out about it. Will be the 1st ALIEN film without Ripley in it. I hope that H. R. Giger will still do any of the Alien designs. -

Good question, how did we miss this one? Forbidden Planet is a true classic. -
Reminds me of an Ex-GF. Really cute, but annoying!!!

BEST Science Fiction film of all time!

More than likely a mix of stupidity, idiocy and laziness. You just need to watch Kevin Smith talking about producers like John Peters to get an idea of why Event Horizon's additional footage was either cut or lost. -

Its a shame they couldn't have preserved the other 30 minutes cut from the film, would have liked to have seen it as Paul Anderson wanted to show it. -

Since this thread opened EVENT HORIZON has been on my list as a good movie, but not one of the best. Great premise, haven't seen it for awhile but I remember the effects being impressive, but the story is so-so and as electric indigo put it the second have doesn't do that well. But Lawrence Fishbourne & Sam Neil did a great job though. So yes, its a fun movie and will scare the cr*p out of you if ya haven't seen it before and at night with the lights off! (Sweet Dreams) -

Have no fear, either SyFy.com or just the SyFy channel, they keep showing repeats of it! -
Caprica! Dynasty Meets BSG

Another entertaining episode tonight. The preview for next weeks show looks intense as it seems Tamara wants out of V World badly. I got a big kick out of the scene when the technician was working with Zoe and turned on the radio.... a little BSG music anyone? -
That is so awesome!! Agreed, weapons bay pics are hard to come by! Great find.
-
Truly awesome the degree of detail you can see, especially the engines. if only it showed more of the cockpit interior! Thanks for posting that link David!
