  1. Hey Jason, heres an idea of visor in a side view, also as you can see it simply snaps on the pre-existing buttons. No need to adjust anything. For now this is alot better than the std issue Masei visor, but maybe someone here at MW will make a accurate Visor shield for these helmets, I'd buy one!
  2. @lancalot, Thanks dude! As for the green visor, while its a DYRL helmet it will look like Shin Kudos from Mac Zero to go with my Mac Zero Flight Suit! @macsam, A plain pair of scissors was all I needed. its not that super hard plastic you'll find a HGU Helmet Visor.
  3. http://www.ebay.com/itm/271746164111?_trksid=p2060778.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT This is where I got mine from, really easy to cut so it will fit properly and it snaps on without any issues.
  4. Just need to add the Lightning bolts, some clear coat and I'm ready to go!
  5. Sure looks like one.
  6. That VF-0S looks so damn good, I must have one!
  7. That's how the landing gear should look right out of the box! Everyone loves Pickles!!
  8. I like how Seth took the sperm bank scene from Family guy episode "Sibling Rivalry", where off to an original start with this one. On the other hand I'm sure I'll LMAO!
  9. Much like a Thompson M1A1 & Thompson M1928 SMG look very similar they are also quite different, same goes for the Macross. Structurally the TV SDF-1 is a simpler design, larger bridge, Shoulders & cannons, less boosters and the legs have far less details and compartments while the DYRL version is a more rugged design and smaller bridge which IMO makes this SDF-1 appear bigger, legs have window compartments where the city is located, shoulders & railguns are upgraded too. The feet are a bit different and thrusters as well between the two ships. Main guns definitely vary in design, As a Macross purist, I'm not a fan of the TV SDF-1 with the ARMD's attached... its one or the other for me.
  10. Pre-ordered mine from HLJ last night, can't wait!! I think if sales are really good for this kit, Hasegawa will make a TV version as well.
  11. Thank you! For the last few years I considered making my own helmet or having a master sculptor make me a correct Zero style helmet, but scratch building isn't my thing and having it custom made was REALLY expensive. So I figured I use this Flight Helmet for now (despite it being a DYRL model) and it will look great with my Zero flight suit! As for covering up the screws, I found some various caps at Home Depot but haven't tried them yet, if they work I'll post some pics!
  12. Thanks Jason, its been a fun project so far. Mostly just a lot of sanding, primer and then flat gray, masking off the Visor & red arrows was the trickiest part. When I got my helmet it was just gloss white with a black visor. Will look like Shin Kudos Mac Zero helmet when completed.
  13. That is one of the most detailed builds I've seen in a long time, amazing job MT!
  14. Thanks MT!! It's going to look like Shin Kudos Mac Zero helmet when completed.
  15. One step closer to finishing my helmet, Lightning bolts and a green Visor Shield then I'm done!
  16. It was actually 75 degrees & dry today, a perfect day for work on my Helmet. One step closer, Lightning bolts are next!
  17. https://www.yahoo.com/movies/jupiter-ascending-debuts-to-muted-crowd-at-109411922652.html Sounds like there was pretty much no love for this movie at the Sundance Film festival.
  18. Overall I really enjoyed the movie and the cast was superb, Michael Keaton is such a great actor, Ed Norton was awesome!
  19. Thanks guys! The background is actually my workout mat. Now that I own one, I really wish the VF-11B & C weren't so bloody expensive or I'd buy multiples!
  20. Who has access to the Hubble?
