  12. Hey guys, for those of you who have not tried this yet with your VF-2SS, here are a few pics of what I did so you can actually hold Silvie in Fighter mode and not have the legs constantly popping off. Just as it says in the pictures, make sure to apply the polish in light even coats and you're good to go. I also ordered in some Mini-Magnets as the Gunpod is still an issue (Polish helps... a little), as the Rifle is hollow, maybe that and some metal with solve the issue. Also I'm thinking some reinforcing wouldn't hurt when I get the SAP. Hope this helps out! Also, Silvies SAP armor looks great and also comes with the Squires... Awesome!
  13. Thank you!! I'll take a pic or two later if you like. Literally if you have a bottle of regular Nail polish handy, simply take the brush and apply really light brush strokes-coats to the tabs on the arms and the pegs that legs lock into in fighter mode. For the Arm pegs I just coated the top. (4-5 coats) For the legs I did both I applied the polish to all four sides, again about 4-5 coats. Let it dry fully and then everything should pop into place nice & snug. If still just slightly loose, apply one more coat! As for the Tailwing/stabilizers I haven't played with those yet, going take some creativity to make that work properly. But I have a few ideas. Also, as for the separate SAP armor for Silive..... Pre-ordered!!
  14. Let's pretend for a moment that Ghostbusters never existed in 1984, we have no basis for comparison. This new trailer for this new never before heard of movie called Ghostbusters just looks bad.... period. Now let's except that in 1984 a film called Ghostbusters did exist, this new one is a terrible excuse of a reboot, I won't feel bad that I didn't see it on the big screen.
  15. Finally get to enjoy my VF-2SS in fighter mode! Last picture wasn't as nice but shows how either some Future or Nail polish keeps everything in place.
  16. I have some Nail polish in front of me, fingers crossed!! ^ Scratch that ^, Nail polish seems to work quite well. Just swooshed Silvie around and nothing popped out! Fighter Mode is all good now!!
  17. Awesome!! Take your time and get it right, nothing wrong with adding more PE parts. Can't wait to see the City! Honestly you will have the SDF-1 of all envy when completed.
  18. Wish I could make it there, sounds like two tons of fun!! The new stuff is fun to see, it's all the Vintage toys that would make it worth the trip!
  19. When I touch the wings and legs of my VF-2SS my first though is the old Revell F-14 Tomcats or F-15 kits I've had... Testors F-5 comes to mind too, the plastic just has that smooth shiny appearance... not exactly perfect, Some primer, good paint and clearcoat and everything looks finished. That's the best way I describe it short of making a Video. The plastic ET used is by no means Brittle but it does feel thinner than what Bandai has used on its Frontier DX (renewals) toys and what Arcadia uses. It's just thin enough you'll notice when you touch it. Again this is all my opinion. All the above said I've already transformed Silvie 6 times and no issues at all!!
  20. This project never gets old!! How long before you start to paint this SDF-1?
  21. None of the above, feels almost like an unfinished model kit. Some clear (flat or Matte) coat would give this a more professional look. If the other companies plastic rates 3 or 4 stars, the VF-2SS gets a 2.5 star rating IMO. Not crappy just not as nice as were used to with Yamato-Arcadia & Bandai.
  22. If you want to get your VF-0A back in action, I recommend the replacement shoulders from Shapeways. Here's proof they work, both my Arms/shoulders broke..... She's ready for combat now!
