  1. That's cool. lucky they got to see it in person. One of these days I need to get down to FL and watch a launch. I remember watching that SpaceX rocket on a Live Feed, that explosion was insane, especially the delayed shock wave!
  2. After watching the Falcon Heavy launch today I was curious if anyone else here watched it, then I realized that I didn't see any dedicated threads for NASA & SpaceX here on MW. Any thing you want to post whether it's the most modern news from NASA, SpaceX, the European Space Agency, etc. too the Moon landings, Gemini & Space Shuttle missions, feel free to post here.
  3. That sold fast!
  4. I was just curious of all the mods your making to your VF- 2SS, have you considered redesigning where the hands go so you can just use a Fixed-pose hand vs. the hands it came with? I did this to my Silvie 2SS, (not the best mod) yet it made the toy look much more appealing IMO.
  5. I watched Cloverfield Paradox last night, it's not bad but not that good either. Visuals are great, Bear McCreary did the music so were good there. Story wise & dialogue are so-so. Not trying to spoil it but I'll say that the ending was pretty damn cool IMO. There's some hinting in this story that the crew of this space station cross dimensions from our Earth to the one we see in the first Cloverfield... but it's a sloppy attempt. I saw the Animated Godzilla series too, same as above (Not great, not terrible either). Artwork & detail are high end. Yet whether that's the lore or not of Godzilla, at some point you get tired of the Giant Creature that just can't be stopped no matter what. This series so far (1st episode) reinforces the idea of that is you had the SDF-1 and fired its cannons it would only stun Godzilla and he'd be up and moving again. (Just my opinion) However the way the story is set up, it's a change of pace from previous movies always set on modern day Earth, I give it points for that.
  6. Damn, that USS Aventime might be my new favorite design next to the Enterprise D from TNG. (USS Voyager is coo too!)
  7. Just did a rewatch of Breaking Bad.
  8. Those LED's are awesome!! Between this and the wings, all you need now is to add motorized landing gear!

Yes you should, a 1/100 & 1/60 comparison pic would be awesome!
  10. Thanks everyone, those comments have encouraged me to want to take on some more projects, I have a bunch of Macross kits still boxed up, I need to make some time for those too. I see lots of other great builds in progress, looking forward to more pics! One more of the Raptor!
  11. Thanks arbit, I am humbled. (I'm a big fan of your projects, always impressive!) The Raptor has a unique set of colors on in. I restore WWI & WWII Helmets for reenactors & collectors and happened to have some Japanese WWII Olive Drab Brown paint handy, so I used that as the base, airbrushed in some black for some depth, then the overall color is Testors Afrika Mustard (best choice overall for the Raptor... or perhaps a Tomahawk & Phalanx). I also made a mix of olive green, dark yellow and light brown acrylic paint to airbrush on for added details, then a good dose of weathering/aging. It's a little pricey for the Raptor & Armament set together, yet if you're a BSG fan I recommend it. If I get another one it will be a std. Raptor with the gear down & the door open. The decals for the control panels used by the RIO are insanely detailed and a major excuse to use LED's inside! Looking forward to your completed Motorized VF-1 project!!
  12. Finished the Raptor a few weeks ago (finally had time to take some pics), I'm tempted to get another one!
  13. That was fast, gotta love HLJ! Looks like you're going to have quite the HMR collection!
  14. From what I can see it's looking good! Anyway to post bigger pics? It's a bit hard to see these. P.S. I caved and ordered the Faerie Squadron 2SS, for $135.00 shipped, I can live with that.

After seeing what Bandai could do with the VF-2SS, I'm all on board for a HMR VF-4. (Flashback & VFX color scheme).
  16. If Arcadia offered a VF-0A/S or VF-0D as an affordable kit, I'm willing to bet those would sell really good!
  17. I'm intrigued by their VF-1D, if it looks nice, I might just get one. @Sildani Agreed, a high quality plastic truly makes all the difference.
  18. https://hlj.com/product/evt57214/Act In case anybody wants to get one, it's now in the "Bargain Crate"!!
  19. Just so we're all on the same page here, the reason I mentioned Hikaru's flight suit & helmet isn't so much because I think it's the best ever, it certainly borders on "unique" to say the least. And while the flight suit used for the Yamato/Arcadia VF-4G does indeed look better and more like a DYRL uniform, if I am going to build a VF-4 from Flashback 2012, I'd like to have both an accurate paint scheme and the correct pilot inside so it's just like you see it in the OVA. Otherwise it's the Hasegawa TV SDF-1 all over again... close enough and I'm tired of spending money on close enough. Just my opinion, not saying it's yours. @no3Ljm Would be nice if they included both styles of pilots, that would solve any issues instantly.
  20. Just started watching Violet Evergarden. The character designs & artwork are top notch, story has been good so far!
  21. Answers the question if a 1/60 VF-0 will work with that flight deck base, I've been tempted to get one! Your VF-0B is a work of art, never get rid of it!
  22. From an angle it's' not the worst helmet ever, yet from a forward perspective... Zoinks yo!!
  23. So we're still not going to get an accurate FB 2012 Hikaru pilot figure?
