looks amazing Noel, as a massive Hikaru VF-1 fan that I think that Valkyrie looks absolutely amazing! Equal if not better to anything Arcadia can produce!

Nice!! Those missiles look wicked on the VE-1!
-
Your VE-1 pilots are thinking "Ummm, how come we don't any missiles or a Gun Pod with us?"
-
And HLJ has now taken their money too, going to need more display space for these guys!

Just sent a payment to AmiAmi for three VF-31A kits, now waiting for HLJ.

Evolution Toy - VF-2SS Valkyrie I 《MACROSS II ~LOVERS AGAIN~
505thAirborne replied to joppewo's topic in Toys
Awesome, so you'll have two Faerie Squadron to work with. While a lot of people cringe at the idea of Parts-Forming the VF-2SS is one of those few exceptions I could easily live with... I mean in the time it takes to adjust everything just right with the Bandai HMR (which I really enjoy) I could just swap out the separate frames for each mode & be done in the same amount of time. As for the fin + cover, I take it that is strictly for fighter mode only at this point. Also, good luck on that SAP armor, just dawned on me that the pegs are on backwards. Keep up the great work!! -
Still one of the funniest shows ever made! John Mahoney was superb on this show! RIP good sir.

That's cool. lucky they got to see it in person. One of these days I need to get down to FL and watch a launch. I remember watching that SpaceX rocket on a Live Feed, that explosion was insane, especially the delayed shock wave! -
After watching the Falcon Heavy launch today I was curious if anyone else here watched it, then I realized that I didn't see any dedicated threads for NASA & SpaceX here on MW. Any thing you want to post whether it's the most modern news from NASA, SpaceX, the European Space Agency, etc. too the Moon landings, Gemini & Space Shuttle missions, feel free to post here.

Evolution Toy - VF-2SS Valkyrie I 《MACROSS II ~LOVERS AGAIN~

I was just curious of all the mods your making to your VF- 2SS, have you considered redesigning where the hands go so you can just use a Fixed-pose hand vs. the hands it came with? I did this to my Silvie 2SS, (not the best mod) yet it made the toy look much more appealing IMO. -
I watched Cloverfield Paradox last night, it's not bad but not that good either. Visuals are great, Bear McCreary did the music so were good there. Story wise & dialogue are so-so. Not trying to spoil it but I'll say that the ending was pretty damn cool IMO. There's some hinting in this story that the crew of this space station cross dimensions from our Earth to the one we see in the first Cloverfield... but it's a sloppy attempt. I saw the Animated Godzilla series too, same as above (Not great, not terrible either). Artwork & detail are high end. Yet whether that's the lore or not of Godzilla, at some point you get tired of the Giant Creature that just can't be stopped no matter what. This series so far (1st episode) reinforces the idea of that is you had the SDF-1 and fired its cannons it would only stun Godzilla and he'd be up and moving again. (Just my opinion) However the way the story is set up, it's a change of pace from previous movies always set on modern day Earth, I give it points for that.

Just did a rewatch of Breaking Bad.

Motorized 1/72 VF-1 Ranger and Launch Arm Completed
505thAirborne replied to arbit's topic in Model kits
Those LED's are awesome!! Between this and the wings, all you need now is to add motorized landing gear! -
Yes you should, a 1/100 & 1/60 comparison pic would be awesome!

Thanks everyone, those comments have encouraged me to want to take on some more projects, I have a bunch of Macross kits still boxed up, I need to make some time for those too. I see lots of other great builds in progress, looking forward to more pics! One more of the Raptor!
-
Thanks arbit, I am humbled. (I'm a big fan of your projects, always impressive!) The Raptor has a unique set of colors on in. I restore WWI & WWII Helmets for reenactors & collectors and happened to have some Japanese WWII Olive Drab Brown paint handy, so I used that as the base, airbrushed in some black for some depth, then the overall color is Testors Afrika Mustard (best choice overall for the Raptor... or perhaps a Tomahawk & Phalanx). I also made a mix of olive green, dark yellow and light brown acrylic paint to airbrush on for added details, then a good dose of weathering/aging. It's a little pricey for the Raptor & Armament set together, yet if you're a BSG fan I recommend it. If I get another one it will be a std. Raptor with the gear down & the door open. The decals for the control panels used by the RIO are insanely detailed and a major excuse to use LED's inside! Looking forward to your completed Motorized VF-1 project!!

Finished the Raptor a few weeks ago (finally had time to take some pics), I'm tempted to get another one!
