makes me wonder though why alto (in super packs) struggled to keep up with ozma (in armored) in episode 7. could be that alto with his inexperience was making wide dodges but ozma was just side-stepping as they charged through the vajra frontline. i buy the logic though that super pack > armored pack ~ standard VF-25. but as to the super pack being too fast for atmospheric flight, i'd like to think these things came with a throttle. the motivation for dropping fast packs in an atmosphere could simply be for better maneuverability. sure there are more verniers on the super pack, but in an atmosphere they are probably far less effective and offset by the drag their bulk creates. from a toys perspective, i'm drooling at the prospect of an atmospheric fast pack

..not to mention that the dialogue played the same way ie. misa whispering "thank you", hikaru not catching it and asking "what was that?", and misa angrily retorting "no, it was nothing" so if misa=sheryl and ranka=minmei (rising star), i'm liking the odds on this one i know, i know, i should stop speculating and that the writers are probably going to throw a curve ball in the last inning, but a fanboy can hope, right?

the writers might be setting this up with sheryl getting sick, presumably from a pre-existing, albeit well hidden condition. alto might end up choosing her but she dies in a [gasp!] moulin rogue episode. intriguing, if one considers the somber ending of M+. i don't want to think about it though. go sheryl!

yeah, i want that deck plating too. my kotobukiya bases are starting to look plain. but regardless, i'm definitely picking up this baby!

i don't know if it's just me, but i found the character animation in this ep to be the best thus far. it's consistent throughout the episode and across characters ie. even the background characters are well drawn. cathy is just gorgeous (and not just because of the shower scene), sheryl made me salivate as usual, and even ranka has some pretty nifty glamour shots. to afford this quality, there were a number of lengthy still shots, stylishly done though for the most part. the music was pretty well done too, if a tad overplayed. i think ep10 still has the best scoring in this regard.

let's see... you mean 5eps per arc and it started with ranka.. then it's ranka/sheryl/ranka/sheryl/ranka by the time we get to ep25. dang, i hope that's not the case. go sheryl! i'm pretty much resigned though that the next good chunk of eps will be downhill for sheryl and favor ranka. and then there will a limbo arc where alto distances himself from both. and then sheryl FTW!!!

hmm... maybe if KK got infected with the V-type virus, it'll sort out her genes and she gets micronized properly. viruses do afterall cause mutations, albeit usually deterimentally. still, i'm waiting to catch an x-men virus someday

or it could be just a matter of perspective. the vb6 was much closer to the camera. edit: oh, i get your point. the ozma one in the middle is actually in front of the vb6. so yeah, scale seems to be off a bit

those shots are just beautiful. this is just so torturing me. man, if only those blu-rays have been confirmed with english subs i'd be on them in an instant

actually, you're right that he's wrong...er whatever. anyway, kresphy is right that there is an animation error. in the upside down shot it shows sheryl has a LEFT earring, but we know that she lost her LEFT earring and has only been wearing the RIGHT earring (her right and your left when looking at her right side up, her right and your right if looking at her when she's upside down). the second shot with sheryl sitting up shows the correct RIGHT earring, and her left ear is covered by her mobile. can anyone tell i'm just bored waiting for the next episode?

what goodies might they be? also interested to know what goodies came with the other CD releases. does anybody know if the taiko sequence during the hydra fight will be in the next OST? thanks

i can't speak for the others, but my intention is not to poke holes at the MF production work. in my opinion they do a mighty good job all things considered. rather, what i'm after is to find beercan missiles and yes azrael, you're probably right. withdrawal symptoms i guess

interesting. it's like "where is wally?" other possible non-errors: ranka bikini - might just be the angle or her butt ate it as she moved alto's undershirt - again, maybe just the angle. you're looking upward this time so shirt might not be visible sheryl's skirt - the knot could have just unraveled as they flew electric posts- hard to tell if the following scene is the same place, it could've been in a different spot but by all means, carry on the hunt.

another superb release from shinsen! also noticed they changed the lyrics to the opening song. flows better now. about the only thing i found a bit off is bobby shouting "rest in peace" before blowing away the vajra cruiser. could they have meant "rest in pieces"? oh, another thing, and maybe it's just me, but did anybody else notice the audio to be weaker and a bit flat on the shinsen releases? i had to bring up the volume by more than 5db from my normal settings. can't quite figure out why since the shinsen raws tend to have fuller audio. gattai seems to have had the best audio on subbed releases. anyway, thanks shinsen! with the break and all, i'm counting on your releases to tide me over

you guys are right. it sounds very close to a reprise, but it's different. you're right too that it's a disappointment it wasn't included in the OST.
