man, the stream was buttersmooth while baseball was on, then a whole tribe jumped on the MF stream turning it into a clipshow. i'll probably go keyhole next time, until waryas comes back.

i'll probably get this game regardless. the air-sea-land and variability dynamic looks interesting. might be the be the closest to starcraft in terms of tactical variety, at least until starcraft2 comes out. but i do agree with you that EA has just crossed the line from campy to goofy. parachuting bears? WTF?

i don't recall the 1A having a strike version in the animes yet the toy is being released with one. the 1J package should either have a lower price or go with something else in lieu of the strike parts. unless of course yamato just wants to pocket the change

does anyone have any news if this has made its way into HK stores? does it look like it might sell out? i cancelled my pre-order when a trip came up and was hoping to get mine from there when i transit in a few weeks.

yeah, that gave me goosebumps, like back at the Birdman premiere. Brera is just so cool in this episode. with nifty lines at that. hmm.. an entire ED dedicated to Sheryl? is that a deathflag or a sign of a comeback? Ozma, Brera, Klan, Sheryl. eenie, meenie, minee, moe. the only reason i don't want them to off ozma is because it's too obvious.

except for the new Aimo, i'm really liking the music on this one. hope it's on the OST2 rather than have to wait for the 3rd. i really don't mind re-used footage, but i just wish they wouldn't run the same re-used footage more than once in an episode and risk too much deja vu.

for a bit of noir masquerading as sci-fi, try When Gravity Fails by George Alec Effinger. if you like it, it continues in A Fire in the Sun, then An Exile Kiss, and finally a posthumous short story collection Budayeen Nights. it's set in Budayeen, a red light district within a near future Islamic city.

galia4 has not stopped rotating, if it did while still revolving around a "sun" it would still get day/night cycles. it's in synchronous rotation where the rate of rotation is equal to to the rate of revolution thus keeping one side facing the center of revolution. the moon is a well know example of synchronous rotation with respect to earth.

check out Red Alert 3. the third new faction Empire of the Rising Sun features a variable robot/jet unit. from the trailers, even looks like it has a gerwalk mode. some previews i read point out that it "bears more than a passing resemblance to the mecha in SDF Macross". needless to say, i'm eagerly awaiting this game.

strange.... i should hate her, but she just looks so hot in this shot...

after the initial rush, i can't help but feel a bit disappointed now at the wasted potential this juncture of the story had. it really could've used the 2 episode treatment similar to how they built up the tension from episode 6 to 7. the way it went, there were nearly equal parts character drama and mecha porn, but there wasn't really enough space to cram both together and do it justice. the first half pacing was fairly reasonable, but the latter half was just a mad dash to the finish. this episode could've ended with the MS appearing behind the Frontier just as they were starting to turn the tide. in between, they could've shown some pixie bonding at a bar, leon suppressing information about the sudden loss of communication from Galia4, bridge bunnies teasing cathy how ozma was in bed and badgering her why she hooked up with leon, diamond squad in the hangar with the flight leader egging the squad "gentlemen, we fight like we're not coming back" and then chiding the ground crew over private comms "you sure these rounds will penetrate their armor this time?", luca having an actual tussle with the vajra (flashbacks to nanase's doubts about his skill) before being cornered and alto shows up, pixies and canaria divert to provide covering fire for luca and alto, klan goes apeshit after learning michel was injured, some of the diamond force actually doing kamikaze, and just when the tide seems to be turning due to their valiance and sacrifice, the MS shows up...

does klan's flightsuit really have that arrow graphic down below? or was that fanmade? it's ..... disarming..
