  1. and that belt could have been a DMZ?
  2. scenario1: MQ gets caught between the forces of planet vajra and frontier. ranka to the rescue either with her own vajra troop or turns the planet side with her singing scenario2: ranka goes kerrigan after finding out about altoxsheryl. it takes both MQ and frontier to take her down scenario3: MQ and frontier duke it out. vajra cheer on the sidelines
  3. oh man, i won't be able to sleep with that thought
  4. yeah, not much there. but i did enjoy the other pic captions. whoever is doing the blog has a an eye for cropping and fuzzy filtering. most were done quite well, except maybe for the anime shots. i liked the foot, koi, pig figurine on keyboard, corset laces, old school microphone, floating leaf etc.
  5. any new release dates surfaced yet? the tomahawk is due september right? hope it's within the next couple of weeks so i can pick them up during travel. i was bored yesterday and decided to add up my shipping charges for the year. the total made me regret ever adding them up, and don't get me started on the customs charges.
  6. um, where can i find that picture caption?
  7. no worries, hobbes. got your point the first time around. unless the writers slack off, there will likely still be a good deal of unknowns heading into the final stretch
  8. if i was faced with a sing-off, my thoughts might be more along the lines of: "menage a trois, anyone?" edit: definitely won't help resolve the situation. at least in my case
  9. actually, the last episode was kinda like that. though some elements of pre-planning courtesy of leon and grace may have been involved, the other characters were basically just improvising and doing what they thought they could do to survive. in the end, the captain sums it up-- "but we may have sacrificed too much.." i wouldn't mind a bit of open-endedness to MF, but hopefully not a begging-a-sequel ending like Iron Man (ok, maybe not too good an example, but you get the point), but rather more along the lines of 12 Monkeys. at least the triangle should be resolved and perhaps some revelations regarding the schemings, but the ultimate fate of Frontier may be left up in the air.
  10. lol, i'm sure if the gravity "actor" offerred to swap places with you for a day, you'd take it in a heartbeat
  11. and it is good advice indeed. but yeah, not always easy. as weird as it may sound, in these ranka-hatred times i find myself compelled to stand up for ranka, my sheryl fandom notwithstanding.
  12. thanks gubaba for explaining the nausicaa parallels, and i think it's likely we'll see something similar in MF. i don't think though that ranka is fully aware of the risks in seeking out the vajra, but it is a brave thing to do nonetheless. unlike you, i am firmly in the sheryl camp, but still, i find no reason to hate ranka. heck, i don't even dislike her. it's more like, she's just not my type. regardless, ranka is an interestingly crafted character, if perhaps a bit annoying at times, but a good one nonetheless. i'd even go as far to agree with wolfx that in a sense she's purer than most, and we get to see how she sheds some of that innocence as she matures, in both good ways and bad, and some forced on her whilst some willingly. as for nanasae, you probably meant "well-drawn"
  13. i'm curious about this too. someone explain please. as for ranka, she's ok by me. in fact, i think she's done good.
  14. i hope they do a double-length for the finale
  15. i really am surprised at how much hate ranka got from this episode. to me, the developments in this episode are a crucial turning point for the series. ranka just happened to be playing the part of the pivot. i agree she tends to be self-centered, immature, shortsighted. but that's just how the writers have intended her character to be so as to be a contrast to sheryl. if anything, they may have overplayed the juxtaposition just a little bit. one thing is clear though: the writers are getting to you.
  16. ah, i see you got the tissue handy. kidding...
  17. sorry i may not have been clear. i meant, how to separate the upper-most part of the leg (where the intakes are) from the chestplate. i tried swinging the leg inwards as instructed and wiggled it a little but it's still stuck.
  18. this toy is giving me a case of the stiffies, and not in the preferred way. i'm scared stiff of breaking it, i end up leaving it at gerwalk. are there any vids showing how to pop off the intakes from the body (page12)?
  19. IIRC ep8 had the highest ratings by far. go figure
  20. um, lemme see: 1. all Mayan calendars end on Sep2012, a cryptic prophecy about the end of the world-- birdman returns to kick our @$$es? 2. collission with Pleiades cluster predicted in 2012-- Macross:Armageddon? ok, ok, one more guess. gotta make it good. hmmmm, let's see... edit: why is my avatar back to the old one?
  21. a double-length 25th episode would be a nice way to cap off this series. regardless, 4eps should be sufficient to wrap up the major threads.
  22. this is looking real good. can't wait to get it in the mail. unless it's just the lighting, i like the fact that the valk isn't stark white. i wonder though if they'll throw in a sheryl/ranka co-pilot?
