good luck. been trying to find one in english for some time now. scanned through first ep of rideback. seems interesting. will check out viper's creed too. falling behind on casshern. need to catch up. kara no kyoukai continues to be a delight for me despite the sometimes convoluted story telling and long stretches between releases. hoping for some recommendations to fill the spaces. something along the lines of mnemosyne, vampire princess miyu, noir... not full blown fantasy but with a touch of the metaphysical.

hey, i was just kidding about the conspiracy theory but i buy your logic that it's most likely be a remix/reprise of the dominant romantic theme that would've been used in the resolution scene, as seems to be the thematic formula in most movies. i can still imagine though how is this LOVE can be used for the same purpose. the song has many aborted crescendos that would suit an awkward, hesitating revelation scene. looking forward to your rundown of MF music.

westfall, i've also been hunting for is this LOVE? since OST2 came out and couldn't find it anywhere. i trawled various forums for leads and rewatched episode portions where they pointed to. after a while i ended up rewatching whole episodes and nearly the entire season. until your post i was convinced i may have missed where they played it, since i caught myself several times watching the show than keeping an ear out. i'm amazed at your discipline for having kept tabs of the music whilst watching. my conspiracy theory is that it was in the scene that resolved the triangle, but ended up on the cutting room floor to leave the door open for the movie.

finally, some love for ground vehicles! i hope you guys see this through. prior attempts got sidelined. hope you guys are planning to share there's actually an even bigger truck shown in perfect memory, and i think recently in macross chronicles

is it an overhead view like a tourist map, or perhaps not overhead but at least viewed within the shell? or is it just a blow up image of Island 1 from outer space like we've seen in other publications, save for the additional markers for more locations?

there's one on ebay right now. but at that asking price, i wouldn't recommend it unless your desperate. that's just a little under what i paid for the two VFs including shipping. got the first at yahoo auctions japan through a friend who lives there. the second i bought myself at amazon jp but also shipped to her address, thereafter the pair was sent together to me. though i haven't seen any sellers at those 2 sites shipping internationally, one might eventually pop up. they don't seem as limited as i thought (quite a number of auctions happening simultaneously), so you probably have some time to look around or wait for a more reasonable ebay auction.

got mine yesterday. not too sure if it was a worthwhile purchase though as it was mostly a repeat of materials in other MF books i bought prior. while i appreciate that some of the art and pics are slightly larger, i'm rapidly getting tired of these (basically) repeat publications. i think i'm going to hold off on buying any more until the MF equivalent of the Gold book or Perfect Memory comes out, though i realize that is a remote possibility until after the movie. those in singapore interested in getting this, it just arrived yesterday in kino. they actually had to fish out my copy from the stock room but they should be on display by now.

a pair of clear VF-25s arrived today and dissapointingly, neither of them had the sheryl decals. guess i'll have to chase the seller. on a positive note, the plastic does not seem to be brittle. what i noticed too, is that some parts are matte clear (like the wings) while others are glossy clear. i'm not sure if that was by design, and if so, that should make for a nice, interesting effect, but will probably be too subtle to come out in photos.

those interested in the clear VF-25, it's now floating around yahoo auctions japan between 5000-7000 yen. there were also a few more left at amazon jp for 6800yen for outright purchase, and another bunch at 9000yen. shipping is only within japan though, so if you have any friends in japan, now's the time to pull for a favor.

finally got one! barely made it to china square before closing time. price was good, so not really sure what/which scalper shop you were pertaining to. at USD110, it's considerably cheaper than before shipping price of Overdrive or HLJ.

anyone in singapore already got the VF-1S Hikaru? i've been checking the usual local shops and half of them say their shipment got delayed, and the other half say they didn't bother ordering because of the exchange rate and poor economy.

already placed a pre-order for the super parts at rainbowten, but contemplating also putting one on hlj. i have no prior experience with rainbowten so not sure how good they are at securing presumably limited quantity items such as these. anyone got any idea how good rainbowten is at getting and delivering on limited items, or care to share their thoughts on rainbowten coming through with these super parts? thanks

barely made it to the concert. sorry couldn't meet up with you guys. was dog-tired from furniture shopping all day and my girlfriend was begging to go home right after. she enjoyed the show though, much to her surprise. still hope to meet local MW members at the next opportunity, after i've settled in. some highlights for me: - May'n in person! even though from where i was, she was no taller than my thumb, it was still great! - finally learned the correct pronounciation of May'n, and also the chant version: Me-i-un! Me-i-un! - the production was bare but May'n's performance made up for it. energy was definitely there, on stage, and with the crowd - Yousei! i can now die happy.. it was probably too much to expect a live band, would've been great to see the drum sequence on this song (and Northern Star), so i guess i get to die another day.. - got to shout Moteke! with absolutely no care in the world if i sounded silly - one of the back up dancers can probably pull off a klan cosplay i didn't score any loot though. the toy exclusives didn't really interest me, and most of the toys i did like were already in transit fromHLJ. was hoping to find SMS patches and MF character gashas. how did you guys do?

perhaps OT, but what i would really like is a mousepad with a lenticular SMS logo (the animated one they flash in ep1 when the alert comes in) to bling up my den.

i'll be there. still on the fence though about the VIP tickets. girlfriend wants to come along to see what all the fuss is about, so 2 VIP tics is an expensive date. and i'm not really an autograph person. i usually just pay a premium to guarantee seats and avoid lines. is there a possibility that people with regular tickets won't be allowed in for some reason?
