if there is one toy that should be exempted from the usually sane and logical purchase decision process, it'll have to be this one. keep the detail and keep it at 1:2000. at smaller than 1:3000 it'll be too close to the yellow sub 1:4000 model and remove the incentive for some people to scale up, particularly those looking for centerpiece displays. yamato might want to consider concealed cord connection points so people can suspend it from the ceiling. space constraint solved!

the wire work wasn't that bad, but i guess it's a matter of preference on the amount of its use. what really killed it for me was the bad CG. it wouldn't look out of place in a 70's godzilla or ultraman movie. that, and how onigen keeps repeating : "sirry grr"

i thought the chest panels were supposed to flip outward instead of into the center. could be wrong, need to re-watch. that pic makes the VF-25S look like it had horse blinds on. hlj is already listing it as low stock. must be flying off the shelves like a full missile salvo edit: it's so hard not to get distracted at the moeyo site..

got my notice too from rainbowten. was told they are doing partial shipping instead of waiting for the armored alto since the SAL box is already full with just this kit. while disappointed they aren't shipping together, still pleased that at 8080yen shipped, it's just a little over HLJ's sticker price before shipping

watched the penultimate? episode (battle with the spiral king) of gurren lagann on tv. awesome, if not a bit rushed, or perhaps it was really just frantic. anyway, despite my aversion to super robots, i somehow got hooked on this show, and i'm still trying to figure that out. is there more after this? so hanging around the tv, nodame cantabile came up next, and i found myself laughing hysterically with my girlfriend am i getting soft?

there are some small display turntables that may be flat enough to fit. does anyone know if the boxes of the new VT-1 and VE-1 will follow the height and width of the new v2 boxes, perhaps just deeper? i'm on the fence about letting go of my v1 of these two, eventhough i actually haven't taken them out of the box yet. strangely, i find a more compact box design will probably sway me to pick up these v2's

ikea uses laminated boards on the detolf, so you'll need to be careful and use a fine-tooth saw so the surface doesn't de-laminate. their BESTA can fit 2 valks per cube, have optional glass shelves, and can be built taller, but is a bit more expensive

has it been confirmed that this will be a series? hope they do sheryl next. and then another one either in a dress or the concert outfit for alto to carry in his arms

man, that's huge! definitely too big for a hoth base dio. unfortunately, the transport that came with the hoth base set is too small, something like 1:350. cool site by the way (rpf), first time i've heard of it. didn't manage to find the thread about the transport though. what was the thread title? the replica forum (therpf.com). didn't know there was a VF-1S max in the chara set. was that the secret? from set 1 or 2? or did you repaint? looks nice despite the flaws you pointed out.

i now know what you mean... dammit! why didn't anyone warn me about ep8? i only occasionally catch GL in the evenings to unwind with something light, entertaining, funny... i wasn't expecting it to get serious! ...now i have to properly schedule my viewing hours so i can follow the remainder of the series <grumble, grumble>

stupid, stupid crotch lock transformed my alto for the first time and i'm already having problems keeping him upright. hope they fix this in the armored ozma, because the current design can barely hold up the super pack boosters. they probably should have used some sort of metal and spring mechanism for this lock, or aided it with some magnet. speaking of magnets, the hip armor could really use some. and the top portion of the calf armor should probably be hinged so the legs can at least bend. or maybe they should have made it of some material that gives some flex. shame that the legs with armor are stiff as stilts considering how wonderfully poseable the shoulders are. sorry for the rant. now time to cool down with the VF-11B
