  1. getting a bit worried. got a shipping notice from amiami last oct8. still nothing in the mail today. SAL usually gets here in around 10 days. anybody else in SG who ordered from amiami via SAL? how long did it take?
  2. whoa! nice! how long is this thing?
  3. do you have any in clear resin? or maybe even just the missile covers?
  4. i suppose this is for another game altogether as force unleashed 2 is already due out this month. any links to previews for this game? i already have 2 motion controllers, but if they come out with one that's shaped like a lightsaber hilt, i don't think i'll be able to resist getting it as well. even better, if they make the orb replaceable with a lighted "blade"
  5. i don't mind the delay. i just really hope it doesn't become vaporware. btw, looking at the bottom most pic, was the MkII supposed to be that pointy?
  6. turn around! you can still be saved! your wallet too.. kidding aside, the latest VF-1S are pretty safe. now since you mentioned toys, as in plural, you might also want to check out the VF-11B and VF-27 both of which are exceptionally well-built.
  7. hmmm... so if there were two macross-class sister ships and one had to limp away from the fight, it could first eject its gunship and ....
  8. just got one too. it's giving me quite a workout on racket sports
  9. yup, that was what i was implying when i said other than TFH. i've bought from them before, but lately i've noticed that their pre-order items end up being more expensive when the same items become available at retail, the VB-6 being the most recent example. same consideration for me, hence the hunt for a local pre-order. so where is this sub$500 pre-order in singapore? or where you pertaining to online prices?
  10. question for singapore residents: where can this be pre-ordered locally other than at the falcon's hangar? thanks
  11. so i ordered the hybrid pack from amiami, and since it was on the same page as Another Century Episode R, i got that too.. and a few other things. talk about suggestive selling so i now have a few japanese games and i don't know japanese. can anyone please direct me to a thread or another site where the controls and game mechanics are explained in english? would appreciate it much. thanks.
  12. awesome work! i didn't even know there was a kit of this, 1/72 no less! the hunt begins..
  13. wonder if they'll consider the actress from the Bones TV show. she's got the face, not too sure about the figure
  14. i was just about to head out and grab another koenig to keep in shuttle mode. guess i'll be waiting for this one instead.
  15. many thanks dangaioh! will read up on this. haven't tinkered with themes since XP SP2
  16. okaaay, not subject related, but seeing gubaba's and anime52k8's avatars in sequence... on topic, i'll probably just settle for the blurays (even if they are unfortunately the "special" editions) next year and then stop. but maybe i'll reconsider if by the time the original trilogy is due out we have hologram TV sets, or at least 3D TVs without glasses
  17. sorry if i'm a bit dense. do i have to bake everything? or just the fuselage parts shown in the first page of the instruction sheet? i'll probably need to bake this and build later as i'm not sure if the place i'm moving to will have an oven. will i need to take special precautions for storage?
  18. okay, that got my attention. are those gadgets/widgets? how does one go about getting/installing them? and is there a way to skin W7 itself? really like the borderless/minimalist/transparent look. but i'll probably opt for a plainer abstract background. thanks
  19. true. i played a number of space sims and the rear cam view was adequate in most circumstances. having said that, i imagine that being able to turn your head and look backwards will still give much better spatial awareness. it's like parallel parking using just the rear view and side mirrors vs looking backwards. i can easily manage both, but find the latter faster and i can gauge distance and locational relationships better.
  20. indeed. perhaps they found most of the shirow mecha on the small side. tachikomas FTW! also no Voltes V. synonymous to giant robo in my part of the world, well at least for my generation. it predates voltron but i guess getter robo was meant to represent it on the list. and how about Daimos? possibly the first transforming but non-combining giant robot? if not for that, perhaps the pioneer of cheesy romantic dialogue in anime. Erikaaaaa! Richard! Erikaaaaa! undoubtedly the inspiration for the Titanic scriptwriters. Rose! Jack! You're so stupid Rose! Jack!
  21. renato/tober, thanks for the info on prime. interesting stuff.
  22. if that article is correct, kawamori co-designed optimus prime?
  23. thanks, pud. i guess that confirms nose art and eyes are mutually exclusive. i'm having second thoughts about applying stickers on the other side. can't understand why bandai didn't make the nose art stickers as mirror images like they did with the eyes. or i just might apply the eye on the other side and make it a one-eyed-sheryl-fan-pirate monster or then again, i'll probably just leave it blank. those who have experience making decals, is it possible to make one for this? i'm thinking the off-white ice cream might be a problem.
  24. yup, the nose art stickers that come with the normal version are definitely smaller can anyone recall if in the anime, the ranka nose art was alongside the eye or on top of it? appreciate screenshots. thanks
  25. ah, i thought the 1/100 VF's were the RDs. guess i was expecting the VB-6 to come in at 1/100 and it came in smaller. now i need to grab myself some proper RDs
