    thanks. guess i'll take the update option then. was considering a clean install, but i don't have the install discs of the programs. i can probably download the install packages but i'm not sure if my license keys will still work since they are probably tied to my Win7 license, which presumably will be altered once it's replaced by Win10, so said programs might not recognize it. in any case, i'll probably just be hanging on to this laptop for another year or so.

    my Synology update issues finally got sorted. turns out my NAS was already at 98% capacity and was screwing up the processes. i bought an external drive to offload some photos i haven't sorted through yet. down to 95%, the update went smoothly. with extra space on my new external drive, i was thinking of backing up my laptop files to it so i can migrate to Windows 10, since it's been bugging me like hell. i just have a question: what happens to the OEM programs (eg. Photoshop and Lightroom) that came with my laptop? will they be retained or wiped?

    finally got a Hulkbuster! i think it's my first Figuarts too. (did Figuarts have a Zombie or was that a Figma?) anyway, roughly what scale is this thing supposed to be?

    need a little help. well maybe a lot. the other day my Synology NAS updated itself to DSM 6.0 i only noticed because suddenly i couldn't stream to my TV and so i checked the Package Center and found out that a bunch of them needed updating, like Media Server and Video Station. when i initiate the update, the download starts, as well as the installing phase, and then it stops with a message : This package requires you to enable "pgsql". i have no idea what that means nor do i have any recollection of enabling it in the first place. tried googling but what i found mentions stuff like CLI, telnet, etc. which i cannot do. i asked Synology but so far no reply. anyone got any ideas on how to fix? hopefully a simple solution? thanks

    yup, the UNCF crate is fantastic. gave me the idea to get the other "ship" crates: Kirishima and Izumo, I-401 from Arpeggio, Bentenmaru from Bodacious Space Pirates, Shimakaze from Kancolle (wish it had at least some english text though). hoping they come up with one for the SDF-1, ARMD, Prometheus, Daedalus. there supposedly one for the Bebop, but i have yet to see pictures, so might be a myth. then there's the "organization" line (eg. NERV, Umbrella) which is where SMS will fit in. and a bunch of "squad" crates (Gakuen 35, Gate Regiment 3, Keron Army, Anti-Skill, etc) where Skull squadron will sit.

    passed by my local store on the way home. the supervisor was kind enough to open the Asmodeus sundae box. the popsicle is separate, and the figure looks fine without it. it's bigger than i expected. the sundae is life size and looks yummy! couldn't resist bringing home a dessert treat.

    jenius, internal dimensions are 493 × 335 × 303mm. i recall it couldn't fit my Yamato boxes (too tall) but should be able to fit 2-3 Bandai boxes thanks jefuemon. appreciate it. jasonc, i think i have your mailing address from our last paypal transaction. hmmm...

    there were a lot of figures produced for GitS, though they tended to be smallish and crappy (but a handful were 1/6 - 1/8). the manga spawned gashapons too, as did SAC along with trading, prize, and action figures. non-MC figures are not common, even for wildly successful shows. but there were figures for Batou, Togusa and the blond chick with the missing lower half. i have a figure of CEO Jameson (the box robot with a brain inside) and the nurse. i wouldn't say there was a dearth of GitS figures. maybe just not the types we want to collect. i recently got this (2015 release) on clearance: the site myfigurecollection lists at least 30 Motoko figures, excluding gashapons and action figures. the following figures are all from the past decade, not including those from ARISE: there are also more than a dozen Motoko posable figures, including one by Yamato. still, i'm looking for the definitive Motoko figure. it could've been the one shown above with a Tachikoma base, but the face sculpt is subpar. shame, as it was 1/6. and all manner of shame for this one

    i know the feeling. my "therapy" during "slow" months is to trawl amiami's pre-owned section for figures i was interested in but not enough to pay full price at release... or for stuff posted here that i wasn't even aware of and missed out on. seriously, this thread is poison

    what would be a good search term for these folding/collapsible containers at YAJ? or if anyone's interested, i'm willing to pay commission to get these (SMS, Skull Squadron), as well as the Survey Corps (Attack on Titan) and Gurren Lagann. anyone up for it, please PM me. thanks

    this will be my first male One Piece figure (i have Robin with the big hand cannon). not really familar with One Piece but thought this one looked fun so PO'd it at a local store ooh, shiny! i don't really like bigger than 1/6 but i previously got Cecilia at clearance, my lone 1/4 figure, so i thought: heck, i like Houki anyway. while i probaly shouldn't go crazy collecting this line: i'm thinking i might as well add Rias to round the menage a trois
