My model (I am GWfalcon)?? in my opinion, the bandai or IMAI 1/72 models are what you want. They are cheap and easy to find in ebay or HLJ. Enjoy your building!

June 2, 2013 update. Head modification is complete. The revised version adopts ball joint connection and has a slightly shorter neck. It turns out good, as shown in the top thread. The size does matter!!! I will, man. Let me finish the VE-1 first. Hmm, I think VE and VT share the same cockpit design but 1D is different. Actually I have a 1D kit at hand and at one time I just want to use it as a baseline. But, no, we are true lovers of DYRL, which drives me to head for a 100% true VE-1 and VT-1. You will see my cockpit design shortly.

1/48 line is my favorite forever! I think I need to do something to revive the 1/48's popularity. IMHO, the new 30th anniv 1J is SO SO Ugly... So many colors are used and turns out it is just a big mess on the back of a poor F14. If they wants to use more color and make it beautiful, why not releasing a minmay guard combo? I am definitely not gonna spend 15000 yen on such a badly designed toy. Hope their 2nd release is better...

Like the ve-11 thunder seeker design a lot. Spend a couple of hours and try to get a 1/60 set for my 11B Add black and white colors but not in a correct way: the software is not so intelligent... Excellent work! Just a small question, it seems that both the helmet and the face of the custom 4G head are a bit smaller than those of the original one. Is it my wrong impression?

Haha, sure, will keep you updated on that, either here or PM. Yap, I started it but its not very easy. The main challange comes from the reshape of the upper cockpit part. It is different with the 1D 2-set layout and I also intend to merge it with the bottom part perfectly. The work on multi-path loft and surface reforming are quite time consuming (fortunately totally acheivable). Also, because of the adding of other additional parts like vertical tails, the total cost will go up acoordingly. So far just want to create a set for fun and dont know how many are really interested the 1/48 one. Honestly, 1/48's era has passed away, although I am still sticking to this design. Thanks buddy. Same feeling!
