    Latest custom.

Oh my painted missiles even. I'd be afraid to use them Too thumbs way up.
  2. It's says climax in the article.
  3. lol at "climax" Hopefully the parts stay snug until you jerk them off
  4. I cannot stress that enough. I've seen a couple general Asian release PS3 owners claim on boards that they have had issues with Japanese and US release games but I cannot say whether that is a fact. skull_leader, The Macross PS2 game is worth importing if you are really into games in general and Macross. It's a good game even if you're not really into Macross IMO. Much smoother and overall better game play than the old VF-X games.
  5. For clarification, I'm obviously talking about the original 21.
  6. Overall the complaining doesn't bother me much as a lot of it involves valid complaints even if they can be blown way out of proportion. A major problem with any interweb community is that the "regulars" are on all the time and have basically talked about any issue so many times that it strains their patience. So when someone that's not around much or is new brings something common to them up that's new to them all the regs Overall I'd say I'm about 80-90% happy with Yamato's products but then again I don't own a VF-0 or a YF-21 which I've seen a lot of complaints about. I do however own the old YF-19 and VF-11B which have also had their share of complaints but that was years ago and Yamato has come a long way with their toy designs even if their packaging hasn't really improved
  7. I got mine from "Software Etc" IIRC but I've seen them at cons for comparable prices too but I figured all I really needed was the two I have.
  8. The Toynami ones aren't too bad if you get them for way below MSRP. I managed to get Ben/Kakizaki's VF-1A and Scott/Sticks Legioss/Alpha new for $50 each and at that price they're not too bad. Wouldn't really pay more than that for them though because of various design issues.
  9. I don't have much but I've been "collecting" since the 80s. Not a lot of stuff survived my childhood but I still have a G1 Jetfire in pretty good condition. More specifically I jumped on the Yamato Bandwagon during the old 1/72 line with the VF-11B first. Toy technology has definitely improved over the years even if arguably their marketing hasn't.
  10. Buy a Japanese PS2 as it simplifies everything and they are fairly cheap (generally $40-50 more than a US system) now it's either that or you could try to get a used fat model to make swap magic easier on you. 14. I use the Hikaru VF-1A, it hides the horrible yellowing it has
  15. I remember when 1500 yen was less than $10 No offense to Yamato but besides waiting on a paint scheme I want I think I'll wait it out for a "debugged" release. Preordering is still extremely tempting though especially since it has all the TV/DYRL bits all in one. Time to exercise that self control (see: drinking)
  16. He died of a perforated colon New 1/60s intrigue me as the 1/48 as awesome as it is is just too large of a scale for my taste. I look forward to my eventual Max&Milia as always. Yamato really has come a long way since their old Plus stuff.
  17. My original 1/60 Hikaru VF-1A was kept on a shelf in my game room which is essentially a climate controlled non smoking cave and it has severely yellowed, so I would say it has more to do with plastic quality than anything else.
  18. Just force some self control, I've managed to resist the temptation because I'm still holding out for M7 or VF-X releases. It may seem impossible at first but after you turn to alcohol to drown your valk sorrows everything will be just fine...
  19. Yeah, I haven't seen any yellowing on my 1/60 Roy yet either. I might go scrutinize it some more just to cover all my bases though. I'm considering a total custom repaint of my Hikaru to cover it up but that seems like a lot of work.
  20. I know I'm one of the few Macross 7 lovers but I've never been a huge fan of the plot and development of Plus. While 7 obviously lacks the budget and has way too much singing in it, Plus lacks the length and depth for serious character/story development. In short I hope Frontier turns out to be like 7 but more action orientated and with a bigger budget.
  21. Not only do I get new Gundam but I also get new Macross. What a year
  22. This thread made me check my Hikaru 1/60 VF-1A and sure enough all the plastic bits are faded It's spent most it's life stored on my bookshelf IN the armor parts and I guess it's going to stay that way.
