I already pre ordered the set with Hikaru's 1J because I do not yet have a 1J. I have not made it my business to jump through any hoops to get Yamato exclusives and I will not start now. I do not think the effects parts look horrible but they are not necessarily appealing to me either.

Thanks for the replies on NCS. I guess I'll preorder through them. I used to get most my stuff from a local User's Side but they closed their doors a while ago unfortunately. It was awesome to have an American based store front for instant import gratification.

I'll have to try some of those places if I'm ever in the general area. I like the description of "tasted like paper" about what I'd expect. Where are people in the US preordering the special edition? I see National Console Support has it but I've never actually ordered from them before. I have heard of them from somewhere though... http://www.shopncsx.com/macrossultimatefrontier-1.aspx I'm not even sure I really need the cover or the video but the price difference seems marginal. I don't believe UMDs have firmware restrictions. Of course I've never tried because I currently have a JPN PSP and I've never had the urge to import UMD movies but I can assure you the region lock is there

I'm pretty positive almost all paints used in toy factories are more harmful to the health than ones available to the general public. Now whether or not after they've dried/cured they still are is an interesting question. Doesn't matter too much to me personally as I generally wash my hands before and after handling my collection. Maybe I should start wearing cotton gloves? On a side note I recently noticed the swingbar on my version 2 Roy VF-1S is chipping. Almost looks like it was powder coated honestly.

That is an excellent anecdote! Very quick witted on your part. It is also nice to see he took it in stride and you made friends. I wish I could have been there to see the expressions on peoples faces as the lines were delivered though. The devil inside me also wishes there was a little "hechando chingasos" going on but eh A friend and I joke around about opening a Taco stand in Japan quite frequently. Well because you know you can't get good Mexican food in all of Asia apparently. He of course would have to be the obligatory "Mexican" on staff even though we both look like gueros.

Thanks for assuming I'm not of Asian descent I guess that depends if he is a better mechanic than he is a model/toy builder

I still think the vertical stabs(?) on the 11 are way too small. Besides that and the price point it seems to be an excellent release. I mean an included stand would be nice but I'm not real impressed by the 21s so I'd still probably buy a "better" one anyway.

Sorry wrong board, this isn't 4chan Love how the thread is degrading to automotive vehicle fanboying. Big surprise if you get a lemon by any brand it's a lemon. In all honesty I had a buddy who got a BMW because that's what his wife wanted and he had nothing but problems stemming from anything electrical to body panels falling off. Now he has Mazda 3 speed which was awesome until some Canadian Asian lady side swiped him For the record I was Yamatoed in the form of the V2 VF-1S unfortunately I couldn't bring myself to smash it into tiny pieces like it deserved. My 21 is going good so far (knock on wood)

MW Bay Area Meet in San Jose Japantown

ATM Possibly, I have to see when the monthly airsoft event I attend is happening that month. -
Lol at the stereotypical latin/hispanic/mexican dude. I'm totally surprised he has dreads and not a sombrero or something. I THINK it's supposed to be Gary Maddox but loan words are really tricky. Even native speakers don't always agree on how to write foreign words in Katakana.

Even in the 25th line Hasblow got pretty lazy. There's quite a few figures they could have done better even with parts they had already. I'm sure as "collectors" we're supposed to be ecstatic that they're throwing us 25th/OG style scraps with upcoming two packs and all that. I like how they used the excuse that they couldn't do a 25th style Covergirl because they didn't want people to get confused because of the movie version. Now I haven't seen the film (and I won't) but from what I hear (avoiding spoilers) she's hardly in it and won't be in any sequel not to mention the movie figure is absolutely hideous. My only assumption is that they don't want to put forth the effort required to make a good and/or decent Covergirl figure. For the most part their efforts on the females of the line have been lackluster at best so that's understandable. It's a pity because I'd be pretty psyched if she came with a 25th compliant Wolverine. Heck they could just release her with yet another Armadillo and people would probably buy the damn thing.

I don't know the exact reason why but both my PSPs have had problems acknowledging input commands on occasion. It's most notable with the battle games most likely because it's lag related. I've noticed some improvement since I started using custom firmware and read games from the memory stick but it's still there.

Better pictures just make this thing look uglier. The front guns are very reminiscent of space marine bike twin bolters. From the perspective of a motorcyclist the bike mode of this thing is a train wreck. Maybe it will look better in person/in package.

I grabbed a few of the Joe Pit Commandos for the Steel Brigade helmets they have. Needed them to help my work on making a 25th style version of my childhood original Steel Brigade mail away. Basically done but it needs a repaint and maybe a new head. Also picked up the Hawk, honestly just because he comes with a decent H&K SL-8. Really not impressed with the ROC line except some of the repaints which in essence doesn't count. Lots of good bits for customs though. A handful of the figures for next year have me interested. We'll see how that goes.

I'm pretty positive your Wingmate's health effects your score. Not to mention they can accidentally kill targets that you don't want to kill too fast because they are spawn triggers. Gratz BTW

Yeah yay in terms of it still having all the old tracks. Not too impressed with the new track selections but at least they added some.

The lining really makes the TV VF-1A "pop". The paint scheme is pretty boring in fighter but much more dynamic in battroid like you've got it there. I've got mine in Battroid too just for that reason. Can't wait for my M&M 1Js so I have something nice to show off in fighter.

Star Ocean Second Star Story is one of my favourite games of all time. Haven't been too impressed with the newer titles. Maybe I'm too old now or maybe I'm more a fan of traditional RPG gameplay. I picked up the PSP ports but haven't played through them yet but I've got hundreds of hours and like 3 files for SO2 on PS1. The limiter unlock on the boss is pretty insane even at level 250 without good equipment the Earthquake spell can 1 shot your whole party My favourite parties Claude Dias Ashton Rena Claude Rena Opera Bowman I was never too impressed with the casters as it takes a long time to develop them to the point their mp refresh keeps them casting. I'm still meaning to make a run through with Claude, Rena, Celine and Leon as my party.

Also it looks like the duets are gone? Didn't notice that before because I over looked it obviously. EDIT: Nevermind I read the whole thing myself. Looks like it includes all previous tracks and 21 new ones split between vocals and BGMs (if I'm reading it right).

I turned the whole thing in so no I didn't use the same hard drive or even a spare I backed up. I just copied my save files to a thumb drive. Supposedly you have to deauthorize the console (which I did) or the account history stays with the console. Still I had problems and I enjoy having little or no hassle in my life so I'll take my zero on the PSP Go. Especially considering there's STILL no second analog stick. The track listing is highly disappointing.
