  1. By "improved" I hope it means arms don't fall off like my friends original version
  2. I don't think that should be a problem if the program is formatting it in the right format though. MP4 I think? I just checked my files. Video codec - AVC Audio codec - AAC and indeed MP4
  3. When was the pin altered? Someone mentioned the VF-1D didn't have the fix. Is that true? My Max TV 1A is fine so far. In fact my friends Roy 1S he got the same time as I got mine (initial FP release) is fine so far as well.... I'm going to be getting a TV Kakizaki pretty soon hopefully that one's defect free. I still have my reservations so I handle with utmost care
  4. I haven't tried that particular video but I have PSP 9 and I've used it successfully to put a lot of Macross Frontier videos on. Are you sure your folders are setup right? My custom firmware messed up the folder layout on one of my cards so I reformatted an extra pro duo and it worked fine.
  5. My Focker also had two cracked hinges ironically from just sitting in the box. I took him apart, sanded the pins and when my usual Zap-A-Gap failed to properly glue the cracks up I instead filled them with Citadel "green stuff" putty. He seems to be holding up just fine now. Not sure how the hinges cracked really. I only transformed the thing twice before putting it back in the box and into the closet. I inspected the hinges whenever they were handled because I saw the horror stories on here and never noticed any problems *shrugs*
  6. I still have a Neo Geo Pocket Color that didn't really go anywhere. It was way better than the game boy color but obviously inferior to the later released Game Boy Advance. The analog stick on the NGPC is one of the best on a hand held to this day IMO. It's really too bad the selection of games was really limited.
  7. I swear I read somewhere on Catalyst's own site(?) that they had contracted the original artists to redesign all the old unseen. So I have no idea how if they were redone completely new designs HG would have any way to sue them over it and I assume this may extend to the new Mechwarrior title as well?
  8. I forgot about those. I was actually kind of surprised by them when I first saw them in person. They're pretty good but I wouldn't say they're awesome. they're more the exception than the rule IMO. Hey there's hardly any FotN merchandise usually so I guess that defaults them to awesome
  9. I guess I'm the only person that likes the assemble borgs? I handled some at SDCC and they're really nice but I already have too much stuff so I have to pass. They kind of remind me of micro men/kikaider/Sentai/etc. I really like Patlabor but the initial offerings from Revoltech where not as good as my old Bandai pre off shoot in action Ingram. Better for dynamic poses I suppose but like most revoltechs they can't really stand straight and the first versions didn't have the ankle holster, all the extra accessories or even the opening cockpit the Bandai did. I have most the Patlabor releases already and I almost bought a Brocken I saw at SDCC for $18 but it's hard to justify considering it has like no accessories. I'd really like some better anemies/villians to display with my Police Labors, sometimes the Griffon (flight/aqua) just doesn't cut it. I know I'm probably in the minority here but I think all the human figures from revoltech are hideous even the new ones. They should really just stick to mecha IMO.
  10. They're her impact/inertia absorption pads, they just squish down
  11. Don't forget the size. It may not be 1/6 scale but with the bike and all it's huge. It would just barely fit on any of my shelves at home and even then it wouldn't look good doing it. I have the same problem with my yammie Scopedog, there's really nowhere to put it so I just set it on top of one of my dressers in down mode next to a lamp I never use.
  12. I have a CMs houquet on backorder from HLJ. I bet it'll turn out to be discontinued though but maybe I'll get lucky and they'll find me one.
  13. ^this I've even seen it bundled with Southern Cross for under $40(?) at Best Buy.
  14. ugh half age Gundam gals.. Also where's my special edition 7-11 Optimus Prime?
  15. I'm running custom firmware too. I've tried a couple of tricks to change the region coding and/or ignore it but they haven't worked so far. Honestly I haven't tried too hard though.
  16. Things look good as far as my schedule goes. If we go somewhere for grub I recommend we go somewhere it's easy to pay separately as that can be a huge hassle for big groups in my experience. I go down town to check out Fanime every year but I don't usually go to that area. I usually go to Peggy Sues, La Victoria, Original Joes etc so I don't really have an opinion.
  17. Into the "backpack" portion by Yamato standards.
  18. Yeah the UMD movie region lock is totally there. I have a JPN fat PSP now and I can't play US UMD movies on it. Although I guess it's good news for me because I can play the JPN UMD movie that comes with the limited edition.
  19. SRW OG could be very interesting. Really depends on what model(s) is/are available and if it/they transform and/or combine.
  20. Got my CMs Shinobu Bartley in today. I've hardly touched it so far but colour me unimpressed. Surprisingly the gap in the front wheel well actually doesn't bother me too much but I suppose being such a small toy in general the empty space just isn't that pronounced.
  21. My MegaHouse stuff on the shelf. I've got a background behind them now though so maybe I'll get around to shooping it to look a little cleaner.
  22. If I lived in the L.A. area I could just hit up japanvideosgames.com. They're always nice and knowledgeable when I talk to them at cons.
  23. There is some irony in one collector of "toys" inferring another collector of "toys" is immature because he breaks or throws away said aforementioned "toy(s)" is there not? People blow off steam in very different fashions to say the least.

I'm more the former than the latter when it comes to Yamato products. Actually mine yellowed while it was sitting with the GBP on it. Could there be some kind of reaction going on between the two items? Keep in mind it's either sat on a shelf not facing a window which has one of those yellow pull down blinds or in a box in the closet. My home is non smoking and I have forced air so it never gets excessively hot. That describes my opinion on it pretty well. I'll but it eventually or maybe a repaint of it but I feel it's totally over priced after having seen it in person. Well that and the rear stabs are still WAY too small IMO. Anyone get the Yammie Labor yet?

Only my version 1 Hikaru VF-1A has noticeably yellowed. Even then it's only parts. One wing, one arm and the head I think. Is there really a problem with the whole series? I don't think even my original Roy VF-1S is yellowed. I will say everyone of them I left in battroid for a bit has permanent wide hip stance now though. The version 1 1/60s may be ugly but none of mine have broke and the finish/QC on them was a lot better then the better engineered and better looking 1/48s IMO. Overall I believe Yamato is a fairly good company but some of their products are over priced (like the 1/7 Poison Kiss) and others are floppy messes (version 1 Scopedog). They have given me the opportunity to attain some really wonderful merchandise though like the Votoms pilots Fyana/Chirico and my YF-21 and VF-22. Hopefully my M&M VF-1J can be added to the good list when those pre orders are filled.
