  1. Yeah on a technicality we have non military types shining in SG especially in SGA (since everyone but the marines are civvies?) but honestly they're still a component of the protagonist military force.
  2. I don't believe so http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10060409 http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10048001
  3. Lonely planet publishes a lot of useful travel guides for an assortment of locations including Japan. You can purchase direct from them but I've seen their books n store too. http://www.lonelyplanet.com/us
  4. The more I watch SGU the more I hate Rush. He's a truly unsympathetic character and he got what he deserved when Young left him on that planet. It's a pity he didn't die there, slowly... I'm quickly losing my patience for Chloe as well. For being Battlegate Voyager this show is still surprisingly boring. Watching it always seems like a chore or a duty to be honest.
  5. The Revoltech Trigun releases are somewhat exciting but only if they do additional characters. The McFarlane Vash is really still the best looking figure of him to this day. Wolfwood just looks weird to me but maybe it's just how they have him positioned in the promo shots.
  6. Pailsen Files was kind of disappointing but it's what helped bring all the licensed merchandise back out so I'm thankful for that. It is kind of interesting in the fact that it more closely follows the experiment to find the "Supreme Survivor" but it just doesn't look as gritty. I tried poking around my usual etailers looking for that set but I haven't had any luck. Probably be cheape in the long run to find a cheap stand alone red shoulder dog unless you really want that specific equipment set.
  7. $193? wow no thanks I'd rather buy Soul of Chogokin Big O or something.
  8. I can't say if these listings are accurate http://www.mania.com/zeta-gundam-arrives-j...cle_121742.html or these http://www.rightstuf.com/cgi-bin/catalogmg...s/desc/asc/50/1 I've order quite a bit of stuff from Rightstuf with no problems though.
  9. Still waiting on mine, coming SAL Can't wait to see what people do with these.
  10. If there had been a choice between a TV Roy and the DYRL version to begin with I would have purchased the TV version. I'm quite tired of the DYRL releases honestly as the events of the movie are not as memorable because of the run time/lack of development. The TV Roy also has different shoulder markings doesn't it? Also the coloured circles on the ankles on the DYRL Roy don't exactly match the shade of the TV screen shots to my knowledge.
  11. No, the timing may not but the usual poor distribution and high cost will either prevent or severely inhibit your ability to purchase the Zeta movies. I hate to be negative but it's the consequence of having dealt with Bandai Entertainment/visual/etc for so long. Who wants to speculate on the price point/MSRP and the packaging method?
  12. By info do you mean in series or where to buy? Discontinued on HLJ both as parts and as a set http://www.hlj.com/product/YMT34557 http://www.hlj.com/product/YMT34556 Odon is the planet where the Red Shoulder training camp is and is also the backdrop of Roots of Ambition.
  13. The Zeta movies have been licensed for years they just had no intention of actually releasing the dvds until now, since I assume they intend to ride on Gundam Unicorn's coat tails? Like Seto Kaiba already said too little too late really.
  14. Actually the Stark Jegan is worth what you pay for it for the most part. I'd have to agree that in general though for what you pay RDs aren't enough of a step above MSIA/EMSIAs. Truthfully the sculpting/engineering is about equivalent and I'm not sure I honestly believe materials alone justify a 2-4x cost increase. Of course people bought into HCM Pro for a while and those were redcockulously over priced in general IMO as well. I'm definitely willing to at least buy RDs of units I consider "must have" or that I want and never had MSIA/EMSIA equivalents.
  15. Please forgive the double post but I received my Starks and Zulus and have finally had time to handle them and take a few pics. Love the Stark but no too impressed with the Zulu honestly. Here's a short slideshow with comparison pics of the RD Stark VS the MSIA Jegan. Articulation on the Stark is excellent for the most part. Also Jennifer Aniston
  16. I always tighten joints by putting a layer of clear nail polish on each part and letting it dry before peicing the joint back together. Basically like the superglue trick but it doesn't have a chance of whitening/discoloring/warping the plastic.
  17. I'll throw some links to mechaHQ in here for the actual anime references. ATM-09-RSC Scopedog Red Shoulder Custom (imitate) from TV series Uoodo City arc http://www.mahq.net/mecha/votoms/atvotoms/atm-09-rsc.htm ATM-09-STTC Scopedog Turbo Custom from Last Red Shoulder http://www.mahq.net/mecha/votoms/lastredsh...atm-09-sttc.htm If you want to check out "real" red shoulders with actual red shoulders from Armored Trooper VOTOMS Red Shoulder Document: Roots of Ambition http://www.mahq.net/mecha/votoms/rootsofambition/index.htm
  18. Diamond distributes some Gundam merchandise currently but it's inconsistent and definitely spotty for lack of a better term.
  19. oooooooh Bandatoed!!! So this is now the equivalent of crooked Yamato Jolly Rogers?
  20. I have the SMAT from the weapon set and my missiles stay in fine even if I shake it but I don't play with it/them. I had seen several online reviews where people complained the missile just fall out so I was expecting it. I highly recommend everyone use a GAT-22C and not the standard GAT-22 because the compact version is lighter and less prone to making the arms droop. Plus it's just easier to position in general.
  21. @Keith Yeah, my bro had said the AI was somewhat better I haven't played enough to notice personally. Maybe if can eventually get something like the system for DC's side story but improved.. @mikeszekely I've used remote joy personally to record some videos of my psp gameplay. Sound can be done by getting a male to male audio cable and hooking your psp to your mic port. The only problem for me at least is it seems to lag both in the video and sound department (even when the game is read from the memory card and not umd) on occasion but this could vary on the game I suppose. I'm waiting to replace my old fat PSP with a new video out model and try using it in conjunction with my Dazzle and see if the video turns out better that way. Although I guess it would because the psp doesn't use the fullscreen.
  22. I am also getting impatient about Damashii GM Sniper II news... My pre order Starks and Zulus have shipped EMS from HLJ, should get them this week. Cant's wait to compare them to the MSIA Geara Doga and Jegan.
  23. My brother actually got it so now I've watched him play and played a little myself but I'll still take my zero for now. BTW I actually like Jegans and Strike Daggers I finally played Lunar SSH a little (from disc) up until the forest. I'm not sure what there is to complain about. Load times weren't that bad at all and if I actually played it from memory they would be almost unnoticeable for sure. I guess it's easier? hard to tell so far. Can't really comment on enemy AI yet either. What I am positive about though is that it looks excellent.
  24. Actually the cross storyline play is actually something I find annoying and why I don't own/play new Gundam VS titles anymore either. I'm glad you guys enjoy it though. Me I like making my pilots old types and playing through with the proper units unless I'm in the extras campaigns trying to unlock features. In all honesty the more units they add from other eras really effect balance too when you take into account cross era and universe interaction which is kind of disappointing as well.
  25. Yup you were disappointed because I didn't care because I have little interest in the AUs and series set way later in UC By the sound of things and videos like I figured I'm not missing much if anything.
