It's 50% off for Super VF-1J on HLJ now. I say grab it nonetheless, then you can get the standalone GBP-1S armor later. Having said that, the market is flood with VF-1J since it's on sales so I don't think you will see improved VF-1J in near future.

One of the reason that I get the albino VF-1S is to let my GBP-1S armor has a body to wear on... lol.

My VF-1J was intact and only transformed once into battroid mode and left displayed, but months later both shoulders are cracked.

I thought I only have one cracked shoulder Roy's VF-1S, but after I checked all half my V2. I realize that all my Roy VF-1S and Hikaru VF-1A are developing hairline cracked by itself after I put them in Battroid mode for months. When I decided to take them out I notice that the shoulder is very loose so the bad moment cross my head. The standalone VF-1J Hikaru has cracked shoulders now and it was perfectly fine 7 months ago.

haha.... my bad. I tried yesterday, you can place the chest armor on 1D but it won't lock in place due to different buble curve on 2 seaters, but you still can do that if you do some filing on the inner part of the armor. Forget about vt-1 and ve-1, the armor don't even sit on these.

It works for VF-1D, some member already done that. See posting earlier in this thread. yup, but I doubt vt-1 or ve-t will accept the chest armor due to its oversized bubbled up chest plate. I will try that tonite.

Oh yeah, there are severals types of ball joints needed and you can obtain it from hobby shops. The diameters of balls joints and part number are listed on AI.

ball joints are not included, the figure is slightly bigger than CM's and the old school Matchbox... I have no idea what these kits were casted from, doesn't look like resin to me. It's more like a mix of plastic with something else, very light weight.

yes that's it. I've seen that picture from one of my macross books or magazine but I can't recall which books. So I pose them from my poor memory. Do you have any idea where it came from? I've been looking around from the gold book and the tv macross saga encyclopedia but I still can't find the picture? Is it from Super plastic model?

On the V2, the movie pilots are fairly good but the tv pilots are lacking details. If you look at Minmay figures in vt-1, you will get sick. And yeah, it's still better than V1.
