  1. Some new articulation point that we have never seen on VF-1 toy:
  2. Just because HLJ restocked them several times, it doesn't mean Yamato filled HLJ's orders with severals different productions batch in China. Distributor restock <> production run
  3. I just posted the picture... LoL Unlike the previous boring box arts, I think Yamato has done a better job on these two. Anyway, here are the Super TV VF-1S with Hikaru figurine:
  4. Hobby seach has better picture. Everything looks fine, new crotch too...
  5. It doesn't look fokker to me on the pilot.... http://www.toysdaily.com/discuz/attachments/month_1006/10063000156d796ed01026035d.jpg
  6. Unfortunately, those are custome made. T-rex toys made them, but it's wonderfest exclusive, only 20 sets were made last year, this year another 20 sets so total 40 sets have ever been sold....

    VF-1 Thunder Hummer

Pretty cool, but If this kit get released, does the booster come in the kit?
  9. Unfortunately you are the one that make all the assumptions. You can't tell the old system is old stock or re-release since it's inconsistent (I agree), but you conclude that the VF-1D is re-released, how so? Yup, you can make assumption that it's a mold defect, paint defect, etc..... but pictures please. Why and how so? The only reason that we are discussing this issue in this thread is people get panic and making rant everywhere to begin with. I am glad that yours and mine work out well, but I did not deny the fact that there are people out there having problem to unplug the intake. What they should do is inspecting the tabs, measure the diameter of the tabs, do comparison with other V2 that has no problem to find out why. If there is defects, what percentage are we talking about? 5 out of 500 copies produced?
  10. I didn't know the VF-1D has been re-released by Yamato, is it an updated new crotch system? The only re-released V2 I know was Hikaru and Roy VF-1s ann box versions, Armored VF-1J, soon the Max TV VF-1A, Kakizake TV-1A and CF 1A. The first VF-1D I got was immediately when it was released last year, the 2nd one was 2 months ago. Both have the old crotchs, both have tight intakes. I won't make that kinda assumption that just because couple VF-1D owners, say 10, has problem with VF-1D, the VF-1D is from separate release from another production. I won't make that kinda assumption that it's flawed unless I can measure the thickness of the tabs and slots precisely and compare it with other V2 side by side to prove it's flawed with different sizes. I won't make that kinda assumption that the mold has been degraded unless I can show the parts from VF-1D and put it side by side with other V2 in picture to point out the difference. I won't even make a rant unless I have pictures and proof of above mentioned. Just my 2 cents.
  11. There is nothing wrong with the VF-1D, it's been out for a year and no problem was reported ever since until you guys brought it up. The VF-1D has a certain level of tightness in the intake area when I got mine too, both of them even though I got them from different source at different time. It's tight, but if you angle the intake properly then it will pop out without any problem. You just have to be very careful and angle the intake the right way. I reckcon the tightness was due to the paint, they might have double sprayed the white diecast part part from white/gray to beige color so the paint is a bit thick. Once you pop the intake off, you can either file down the tab on intake or the slot in the diecast piece.
  12. And 70% off for shipping. You only pay 388 yen for shipping from Japan to US via Fedex express mail.
  13. You might wanna make the leg in Gerwalk mode, then release the chest plate from back plate, pop the chest plate up so you have room to use something to pry the tab undernealth the chest plate.
  14. I'm sorry but it's really disturbing to see you making rant about your VF-1D everywhere you go in this forum. Yellowing "beige color" on body, broken tab, yellowing "rainbow coated" canopy, what's next? The VF-1D has already been released for a year and no problem was found or pointed out except the little Hikaru won't sit right in his seat so the canopy can't close flush. For everything else, if you transform the V2 properly, there is no problem assoiciates with it. May I present you the old 1/55 Chunky Monkey? They are built do last, simple transformation and robust.
  15. I have 2 copies of every Yamato V2, and have no problem disloging the intake out (touch wood) without using any tools. You just need to be very careful and angle the intake in and out to pop it off. Once you learn the trick, it works like charm.
  16. I guess you must have strong hand, you have to bend the intake inwards to release the bigger tab, then push outwards again to release the smaller tab.
  17. I hate to tell you this, but do you really expect a clear component or glass to turn clear when you place it on a beige color medium (surface)? Will you complain the clear component doesn't turn clear on Max VF-1J but turns bluish? Light reflects differently on differnt medium, it's called physics.
  18. The canopy is clear in the first place, tinted with the rainbow effect. The rainbow effect is a layer of tinting. Not all tinting is the same for all V2. The first couple release is thicker on Hikaru VF-1A and Roy VF-1S. I think you guys just take way over reacted with Yamato. lol
  19. No offense but you guys are too over reacted with the Yamato. yellowing, different shade, etc The canopy is clear and it absorbs and reflects the lights from its environment.
  20. +1 Even if Bandai didn't put any efforts on new mold and re-release the old chunky monkey 10 years ago, they would have gained a significant sales back then.
  21. Nobody will compare the color of an actual item with picture, especially images from computer or notebook... lol.
  22. The VF-1D is in beige color, how can a beige color merchandise looks yellowing? The toy itself is made from different materials so there are slightly difference on the shade of beige color in different parts, which is acceptable and can't really tell from naked eyes.
  23. By having the backpack folding up and fully swing the main wings together doesn't help much to minimize the cube. You decrease the L and W, but you are raising the H at the same time since backpack is folded up.
  24. agreed with the layout to present all the parts, but the box is actually about the size of an A4 paper for this tiny little fellow.
