    Yamato 1/60 VF-X

I wish they release another unpainted kit in this VF-X light gray color so that I can have more custom done.
  2. Again the movie and tv SDF-1 are completely different sculpts to begin with, not a paint scheme variants.
  3. No offend but that is a horrible crossed SDF-1.

    Yamato 1/60 VF-X

Has it been released or are you the lucky guy as always who get the first production run sample, graham? By the way, I won't publish Amy and Jeffrey user id and password in a public forum like this though.
  5. That doesn't sound like something that Yamato will do based on what they have done being anime accurate. The TV and DYRL SDF-1 are completely different in sculpts so I will say do it right or drop the idea. I'm glad that they have chosen the DYRL version because my love fell for DYRL mecha. Yeah, probably Bandai will salvage the old takatoku moulds again.
  6. I do think that it's part of the design to have the gap there. It's been seen from many earlier renderings and prototype pictures. It always comes down to justify anime magic and a real mechanism in toy form.
  7. The only thing I like about bandai is the boxart. I am almost done with VF-1 from Yamato except the upcoming VF-X and angelbird, bandai is so late in the game. It's a good start for new collector to begin with. I like the idea of bundle packaging.
  8. The bridge on the black one has green color paint on it, new sculpt?
  9. I have got all the M+ and all V2 VF-1 up to date.
  10. That is 1/2000 scale. And yes they have announced to do a second run months ago. Apparently fans never feel enough.
  11. Exclusive? Good thing I got a full V2 line from Yamato, I can care less about Bandai.
  12. No, I think this is the same prototype as seen in Yamato website. I guess there isn't much difference going to be made on the bridge judging from past Yamato's release.
  13. The YF-19 was first released back in 2006, the new packaging version is just same mold with some bugs removed. IIRC Yamato has defined their Macross toy line in 3 generations. First Generation (1G) 2000~2003 Typically the 1/72 Mac+ and V1 VF-1. These are the very first Yamato Macross line. Second Generation (2G) 2003~2008 1/48 VF-1, YF-19, YF-21 etc are the new generation with better scuplt and transformation mechanism which they have re-engineered everything. The 2G toys are great, but the toolings are still not perfect, you will find uneven panels, loose fitment and gap here and there. Third Generation (3G) 2008~2010 VF-11B, V2 VF-1 and any valkyries that are available in this timeline are regarded as 3G with much more advance toolings. 3G has flushed fitment, more gimmicks, more advance tampo printing technoloy and molds to create better seam line, panel line, and texture. The V2 YF-19 is still a myth, plausible toy as G3 toy line which may comes in near future after the Fire valkyrie, but none was confirmed.
  14. I just got myself the latest new packaging version, it's said that it's refined version after DN with different shade of color to identify itself from earlier release. I never had the earlier copy so I don't know the difference, but the repackage version works fine for me.

    Yamato 1/60 Regult

Pictures are on the first page for completed kit.
  16. I just got notification from HLJ that they have received my returned copy. Good luck. I'm placing another order for the 1/60 version, but damn the price is the same for 1/48 and 1/60.
  17. I think it's white, but the weathering effect turn it gray, you still can see the fuselage is still white after removing the front cone. Interesting. I placed pre-order on the 1/60 scale version in early Sep and I thought it only available in Nov, but I have shipping notice a week later. When I got the package, it's actually the 1/48 version. I actually emailed HLJ that they screwed up the orders and have it returned 2 weeks ago. I would have keeped it if I knew someone on this board is interested in getting one of these. Anyway, atleast I know there is one more set on its way back to HLJ.

    Yamato 1/60 Regult

I don't think you know what you are talking about. Yup but very limited so I am curious to find out since it makes up a majority of the interiors.

    Yamato 1/60 Regult

Bummer... Anyway, what detail does the pod has on it's cockpit and monitor screen?
  20. yes, the new construction is easier to put in, but you still have to push it hard, the metal crotch is rubbing the nose cone plastic. For some reason, I prefer the old system because I think it holds up better with the physic Yamato intended. The metal crotch is forcing the cover to close and click in place, but the downside is you need to figure out the angle to do it. Once you get the idea to put it in with the correct angle, I think it works much better IMO.
  21. You have to understand that the Armored VF-1J was re-released couple months back. The first release was old hip with rainbow coating.
  22. Go to Hobby search and find the pictures there will give you instant information. The Low viz has new hip, rainbow canopy. The new hip with clear canopy is started from TV VF-1S, you don't have much choice at this point if you are avoiding rainbow canapy and old hip.
  23. sorry for the nooby quesetion but do the bra and watch are part of the toy?
