Ditto, Bandai really nailed it.

I'll go for the later. The Messer is K.

That is still a color filled up by someone else. The Yamato V2 appears to be on the red side in that picture, but it's a vivid orange yellow. Hasegawa suggests H24 for the orange. I think the Yamato is the best representation, especially the large bubble canopy that extends to the chest plate.

It's in the very early production until VT-1 IIRC. I still remember the day Graham was trying to help out the forumers here by distributing those hinges. I think everything after that are fixed, atleast what I have are problem free. Touch wood.

Can't wait to get my package. I still prefer the orange tone in Yamato V2. Anyone has one to place side by side?
-
Found another picture under direct natural light, not trying to create chaos but you can tell the discoloration which is greater than The Yamato.
-
Found these pictures on fb. Bandai should have followed what Yamato did by molding the plastic in orange with beige color painted. Wrong move.

That's the reason I hate 1/48 and love 1/60 V2, no modification is needed and the most complete line to date unless HMR beats it with more VF-1 variants. We all wanted to know how much further that Bandai will go for this Chogokin line.

HG is a big licence to pay.

Yeah, I know the gimmick is there, but what I meant is Bandai has not shown any detail for it yet, I believe. Wish we could see the detail underneath the air brake like the Yamato's 1/48 here.
-
I'm sure there's an air brake on this thing judging from the pictures shown so far, but I don't think there is any picture showing the gimmick ever been posted yet.

Hopefully the feet are die-cast, which makes a lot sense in Battroid mode.
-
It's in the swing bar and hip joints I assume.

I'm not sure which mark did you guy see, but I do see two right on the shoulder. I do agree that the one in the red circle could be a sprue mark, but the one in yellow circle raises my yamaphobia.

Don't get me wrong, I love and own every 1/60 Yamato valkyrie after 2003 when they released the V2, and I stop once Yamato is done after the release of VF-4. Personally I think they are beating a dead horse by putting premium price tag on premium finish. Yeah, you can't compete with other big companies as a smaller firm, but what they could do is their innovative ideas and engineering on toys that shaped Yamato's philosophy in the first place. Ironically, I understand that it didn't last long for Yamato, which is the reason that Arcadia is doing what they are doing now. Coming back to the Chogokin, I believe this is what Arcadia would have done as well, minus the tempo printing, if they were to do V2 on 1/48. The Chogokin is a scaled up V2 Yammies with lots of improvements on interlocking mechanisms and joints that enable poseabilities and maximum perfect transformation.

Bandai didn’t ask for a premium price for premium finish. What a big slap in the face for Mr K.
-
This little thing, held between the fingers, might bring the price to another level which put a big grin on Mr. K's face.
-
The original idea is pretty much the same, attach and detach.

Besides the size, the only thing that I really like about the piece is the gerwalk joint. This would have been the only fully transformable toy, if ever made, that has concealed gerwalk joint.

They need to complete where they left.

It's what it says there, the base is only provided for the initial run with the sleeve to bundle them up, but it didn't say how many bases are there for the initial release.
