  1. Sadly those are the things that people like about V2, atleast it works for me. The contour of the entire leg is exactly what I love about V2. I don't recall any bulky lower leg and enlarged knee cap from lineart as seen on 1/48.
  2. Check Graham's review as I believe he mentions that there are 2 covers on sprues have no function since these holes already been hidden after the toy is assembled. As far as the Macross city is concerned, it's still unknown that it's removable. It could be unless you disassemble the leg.
  3. To each of its own, I for one don't like the tiny wobbly feet.
  4. Hot Toys makes some spectacular figures with fine clothings, but those are over $200 figures. Well I was hoping atleast they could have used some smaller zippers.
  5. Most people feel the other way around, but to each of it's own. Buy what you love, love what you buy.
  6. $880? What are you waiting for? Post some pictures of the suit inside out....
  7. Seems like someone already got it: http://www.toysdaily.com/discuz/thread-802-3414-1.html
  8. Mine is on the way from AmiAmi too.....
  9. Great..... There is a size comparison picture with the V2.
  10. The TV and DYRL are completely different in terms of proportions in many parts and the surface details are completely different. I don't see any similarity for both versions.
  11. Graham, Yamato announces this on web oday. It looks like revision on Transformation Guide. Are these the revision to have correct sequence to attach covers?
  12. Box dimensions Height = 490mm. Width = 363mm. Depth = 140mm. Gross Weight = Around 1721g Indeed, the GW of the toy in packaging is 3.78 pounds, almost close to 4 pounds. The box is about 1 cube too at 0.879 cube.
  13. What you described are what we call the weathering version in which I am pretty sure that Yamato is going to do it down the road.
  14. Thanks graham.... I've been spending the last 2 hours reading your review and comparing the pictures from 1/2000 scale. I must say that the 1/3000 scale toy is basically the scaled down version in term of details. Awesome toy and I enjoy your review.
  15. THanks for the link. I'm glad that several parts are re-inforced with magnets for attachment. Many members here will be pleased with the final touch on the bridge with transparent windshield instead of paint... The details is beyong my expectation.
  16. The packaging is nice, but the box art is still bad. Wave and Yellow Submarine did a much better job.
  17. wow.... it comes in polyfoam tray.... You get a stand and minor assembly required to cut parts from sprue.

    Yamato 1/60 VF-X

dude when I looked at your picture I realize that you have the same problem as mine, the belly plate just don't sit flush. I realize that both arms have to be pushed all the way forward. The shoulder hinge has to be 90 degree with the upper arm before you swing it back to its position in fighter mode. Most V2 come straight from factory in fighter mode didn't have the arms all the way in. Once you get the arms in right position, it will sit flush.
  19. I'm glad that Yamato gets inspiration from Hasegawa's paint scheme instead of continuing their previous paint scheme on 1/48.

    Yamato 1/60 VF-X

well, the VF-X basically is completely different from VF-1. Making indentations on existing mold and tooling cost more, they might as well completely redo the new 100% non-tranforming fighther. That is not in their book though. Again, VF-X was not meant to be transformed in the first place. It's gonna look funny if this thing really transform.....
  21. The last thing I heard was M&M are gonna be exclusive so go figure.

    Yamato 1/60 VF-X

I actually hope Yamato would have released the no paint kit in this VF-X light gray plastic so that I can have more custom schemes done.
