  1. I think it's a pretty good idea to order gray color and treat them like mechanical details such as the side covers. That way you really don't have to try paint matching the valkyries.
  2. That chest plate looks weird. I assume it comes with new crotch on it too for the first time, Renato? It will fit.
  3. I have 2 of each on every VF-1S ever released, Roy's in DYRL and TV, Max in DYRL and weathering, Hikaru's, Low viz, no painting, assembly kits.... that's more than a dozen.
  4. Dyrl is off white whine tv is white. Dyrl comes with yellow arrow on head whine tv is black. Most significantly would be the pilot.
  5. The side covers come from the latest release and GBP-1S are actually different. Those from GBP are in "closed" mode while the latest covers are in "open" mode where the vents are revealed. They both mounted with the same way and have nothing to do with the shoulder.
  6. Yes, almost all "official" pictures released by Yamato on vf-1 in the past are painted, but I am positive that all their final products with plastic moulded in colors look identical with the pictures they released. It'd be too late to take pictures from production test run samples for advertisement these days.
  7. More official pictures from Yamato: http://www.yamato-toys.com/items/detail.php?gid=2010
  8. Those white paints on M&M are painted on except the upper arms, legs, nose cone and hands. Yamato has done a great job in V2 VF-1, but I wish they could have broken down more parts on those white area so that those can be individually molded in white plastic. I guess that will increase costs in return, so I'm good with current set up.
  9. Hinge = ABS + pin = breakage Seriously, I think they might have trouble figuring out how to swing that leg pack out then attach them under wings unless they do double hinges.
  10. Does anyone know what the ad says about "parts get more revision"?
  11. I was so tempted to get the Gray Goggle version as well because I like it that way, and it's the updated crotch with clear canopy. At the end, I settle down the regular version from HLJ with 40% discount because that gray goggle version is always on its top msrp price. Those regular VF-1J selling at HLJ are updated version, so I just paint the goggle gray instead. I already have 3 Hikkie VF-1J. a. Old crotch, tinted canopy from Super VF-1J bundle. b. Gray goggle VF-1J with old crotch, tinted canopy from GBP-1S bundle. c. Latest standalone VF-1J, updated crotch and clear canopy, but have the goggle painted gray.
  12. Apparently showing the valkyrie in each mode is not enough, every room you walk around in your house gotta have one....lol
  13. These toys are made in ABS and POM, if you understand the characteristics of these different components then you will know why. I do not think a $20 TF has better materials than the Bandai's.
  14. All I hope is Yamato will release some unassembled 1/60 VF-1 in low viz gray color.
  15. The fan racer is in Clear plastic.
  16. I think that was prototype picture painted from earlier model, the actual production is clear. Do you get the correct markings for the head in separate sheet?
  17. Shoot me a PM if you want those exclusive Fan Racer in clear plastic, I have extras.
  18. The separate carton for the AB was meant to sell as web exclusive item along with the Fan Racer when these were first released, but I guess Yamato over estimated the demand so the left over turned to normal release available everywhere else, without the Fan Racer.
  19. For some reasons, I actually like it without any markings.
  20. Looking at some of the previous transformable resin kits from this Japanese's blog, VF-4G is going to be a big challenge for Yamato to achieve a fully transformable mechanism with multiple swinging bars and swivel points.
