I was searching for paint match on Yamato V2 VF-1 and found this thread from 2004. Any idea what paint should we use to paint match the 1/60 V2 VF-1 line? DYRL Off White TV White Max Blue Millia Red CF 1A CF 1J VF-1D Orange

It looks like a lighter green similar to this fan built model kit, but it's too early to judge from that tiny spy picture.

It's an old kit from bandai in 1/100 scale, what else bandai will do sitting on it for years besides re-release?

I guess the Alaska base VF-1A is probably the last official variants that we have ever seen in the movie and tv series.

That VF-1 frame in 1/72 scale just don't make any sense at all.

It's critical on what kinda green that Yamato will choose to go with, I'd prefer some sort of real world military dark green like the Spartan.

The show is going to start in the next few hours, can't wait to see Yamato and Bandai booth.

VF-1S in Roy or Hikaru paint scheme is always the best bet, it kinda surprise me that Yamato will issue the movie VF-1A. The CF 1A is always a shelf-warmer I guess, but I love the color scheme with movie head. I believe Yamato will stick with the shade of brown, which I like, since they painted the head to match with previous tv 1A. All I hope is they make it off white just like the rest of the line in dryl to differentiate it from TV version.

Pretty much what he said in his blog: さて、本題です。 私の休み中に工場から届きました「1/60 VF-1A キャヴァリアーズ」の テストショット。 WFとかに飾っていた塗装見本の監修（河森さん）時に頂いたコメント 『マスターファイルに載っている色味より暗くした方がカッコイイ！」 を実現するために、工場に塗装見本より暗めの指示をしていたものです。 ・・・想像以上に暗くなっています。 即席に写した画像が即席過ぎで真っ黒に見えますね・・。 だけど思いのほかカッコイイと思う。

you know what, I just spent couple minutes doing the screen capture. As you can see that the real screens in the movie are pretty inconsistent, but these CF 1A in the movie tend to associate with orange and green schemes.

For some reasons, it seems like the Hikaru's VF-1S will have more tempo printing? Even the "No Steps" are all over the wings..... http://www.yamato-toys.com/items/detail.php?gid=2049

Maybe the white on these CF 1A are off white like the rest of the Dyrl Valkyries?!

I'm not sure about that colored line art, but I'm more confident with the screen captured from the movie. It's been inconsistent, but one thing I do know is the green arrow on head, stabilizer, green skull egnima.

A short answer to that is Dyrl is a souped up movie version of the long tv series with refreshed Valkyries variants and main characters.

It doesn't make Sense to me at all with those orange plastics. Yamato, you guys should start putting gray plastics on these unpainted kits.
