    The yellowing happened to my Hikaru VF-1A v1 also. I ended up selling it on ebay along with most of my v1 Valks though I still have a sealed Hikaru 1A (still white) and a few others pending someone's payment. Like the other members stated, I'd say it's time for an upgrade to the v2 though hopefully you'll get a later release without the shoulder problem most of us have experienced.

    I think I'm locking the swing bar fine. I'm more worried about it doing the splits since it's on a glass shelf. And like your review states, it's a bit top heavy so I ended up keeping all my 22s and the 21 in fighter mode even though they take up more space that way.

    Ended up picking up the 2nd and 3rd issues of NewType Ace today so I could use a discount coupon on them but I still can't find the 1st issue (which is why I never bought them before today). Anyone know where I can find the first issue?

    I bought each paint scheme just to be a completist and recently decided to open them. I gotta say I they do look good in fighter mode but battroid still disappoints me since I never trust the legs to stay in place. If I could do it over again, I'd only only get a 22 if I had extra money during this sale as I'd rather scoop up one of the other awesome deals instead.

    "Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in". Had to buy a 1/60 Hikaru VF-1J to finish my display and couldn't resist the 1/60 Angel Birds. Some pretty good deals are to be had. If only buying display space was as easy as buying the actual toys...

    Moreover, a reboot is a moot point as the cost of doing a reboot would be astronomical in the eyes of HG and, before a studio would even get involved, the problems HG would have in working with a network to produce the show (since HG can't do it alone) would block any reboot's progress.

    Well, we'll soon find out how good Kim's acting skills are as she's supposed to be starring in a film. Maybe that's why HG and WB have been holding back the LAM; they're waiting to see if Kim's good enough to play Minmei.

    My Roy VF-1S shoulders just cracked though they're still attached in battroid mode. Only transformed the thing once from fighter to battroid when I opened it and have had it posed since then for a couple years. I originally bought them from Overdrive and they never responded back in the day when I emailed about my cracked Hikaru VF-1A shoulders and HLJ also rejected my request for replacements. I actually had Graham put my name on a list for replacement shoulders back in the day but never received any updates. So, any other ideas?

    This was my dilemma too but with my 1st baby on the way and the fact that the thing couldn't stand on its own (even though it originally did and was never touched in my display case), I threw up on eBay and pull in $350.

    This is exactly their problem as they don't understand that speculation requires that it be based on fact. You see/hear something and then speculate what it could lead to along the same topic. Not something like, "hey movies are being made in 3D so that's why there's a delay in the Robotech LAM". The dots have to be connected slightly but they can't seem to do that.

    I love how he tries to justify the "N/A" regarding Robotech LAM development as no big deal as it's always been known that we won't see a film for close to at least a decade from the announcement of development. He and his 2 followers always make themselves look so "ignant" and basically contradict the very point they're trying to prove with their "evidence".

    I'll second this. I had hoped that the show would actually improve over time but it's gotten worse with every episode and the animation is still horrible.

    Question: When did you start realizing the franchise wasn't going anywhere post-2000 "reboot" under the Yunes? Was it after you bought all the variant covers of the Love & War comics, not realizing it was a very boring retread of the show? Wait, there were variant covers for that comic series? Was it when your Alpha fighter toy broke apart after you pulled it out of the box? I still blame Toynami for this more than HG Was it during the hoopla surrounding Shadow Chronicles? Or the film itself that was a disappointment? At the time, they promised us more "soon" so I thought the franchise was gonna be in the spotlight finally Was it because you got annoyed by Robotech Master's talkshoe show? What's this? Was it because of that lame Halo-ripoff Mospeada game? I just attributed this crappy game to it being a typical tie-in game Did you get turned off by the legal ramblings with Big West? I say this is what first opened my eyes to the franchise being screwed. I remember when all the Macross Plus toys were blocked from release in the US which led to me importing my valks which cost me more money - this is when my anger towards HG began. Or was it simply because you got tired of Tommy Yune's promise of fame and awesomeness in a post-Hollywood Robotech world? This is probably the most significant reason that led me to realize Robotech is never coming back like it could have. Even my wife knew something was wrong when she sat in on her 3rd Robotech convention panel at SDCC in 3 years and asked why they kept repeating the same info from prior years.
