Aren't they featured in one of those role playing game books which was announced 2 years ago and has yet to be released?

You are correct sir! Still, I opened the reissue a few months ago and overall it was better than the 1st 4 Alphas, at least in terms of paint. No major paint smudges or excess glue. It still has all the design defects like the arched back in fighter mode. It also doesn't really hold its gun very well.

Wow, I thought that quote was just made up and not an ACTUAL quote from their product listing. Unbelievable!

Finally got issue 4 and Macross The First was awesome! But, can someone tell me what's going on on page 618? Also, mine didn't include that insert booklet

Just bought my first blind box of these and got a Sylvie VF-2SS. I can't believe how nice these are and am now hooked. About to order sets of series 1 and 4 but does anyone still sell series 2 and 3?

Great decision as I love my 11B and just opened my 1/48 VF-1J and love it too. Still, is that a good website to buy from? With the 11B so cheap I'm tempted to pick up another...

The Toynami parts don't lock completely after transforming into either mode due to poor design. They also feature the crumbling fists which appear to made out of old rubber rather than plastic. They do look better in robot mode in my opinion than any other company's version but if you want to leave it in fighter mode, each release appears to have an arched back when in fighter mode which makes it look broken. Of course, if you want a Beta, the Toynami is the hands down winner which means you HAVE to buy their version of the alpha.

I gotta agree with Archer as they still need to explain and develop, if not all the characters, the UE. Still, we've at least began to see more of them behind the scenes so maybe there's some crazy plot twist coming. At least I haven't been turned off from this series the way I was by season 2 of 00 and I wasn't really into season 1 that much either.

Not to give the fool ideas, but it actually wouldn't be that hard for him to do since there's 366 days this year (it's a leap year afterall) and the calendar has all those important Robotech related dates: The HG staff birthdays, McKeevie's eating schedule, the Convention Tour dates (as of it's printing), etc.

Yamato 1/60 VF-19 Fire Valkyrie (v2.0)
ps99042 replied to UN Spacy's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
After reading seeing all your pics and reading about this beauty, I finally caved and bought one for about $232 shipped on eBay (using my eBay bucks). Kind of wanted the VF-19S but the Kai was still cheaper and is more iconic. Most importantly, the wife gave me permission -
Yeah, episode 13 had a nice nostalgic surprise. I was pretty impressed with the action scenes and am still intrigued by the story despite it being so simplistic.

You're probably better off without them as your talent will get you other jobs in the future. Still, I am worried about the future of the VE-1 and VT-1 as those were beautiful pieces at their scale. Still, I don't remember seeing or hearing anything confirming Inbit mecha so can someone link to me to the info?

Gundam Show Thread - MSG thru GQuuuuuuX
ps99042 replied to Black Valkyrie's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Yup, this news about Bandai Entertainment is unexpected but not surprising. I just hope the companies they license stuff to for release get me all the Gundam series that haven't been released in the US.- 3717 replies

Memo's probably holding out for a free copy. Afterall, a true fan would get it just for the documentary.

Well, according to McKeevie, the new DVD sales are ok but they're not doing "gangbusters": So, yeah, the state of Robotech has not improved.

Especially when you realize Mikimoto had a major role in the Macross 7 character designs. RT3K was only even worth a 2nd glance when HG was trying to salvage it with hand drawn character designs but even then it was doomed to failure.

Finally stopped staring at my 1/60 Hikaru VF-1J through the box and took it out. It too is the updated version and it's soooooo beautiful. How can I ever stop buying these as long as HLJ keeps giving discounts?

Looks like Steve decided to hit the print button on his computer as the new 2012 calendar is now in stock! The franchise looks to be in good shape for at least the next year as we can have an official item to help count the days that nothing new happens with this franchise (assuming, of course, that you pick a shipping speed that'll get the calendar to you before January 1).

I just finished watching the first 3 episodes too and I'm willing to keep going on it though the series hasn't really hooked me yet. I must say I though episode 2 was the best and episode 3 was a bit slow. The CG is definitely different though I really enjoy the way the action scenes look.
