Currently watching this series so I skipped the spolier alerts! Thanks for the warnings! I'm up to ep 4 and so far kinda of bored with it. I will watch it all the way through if I was able to make it through KOKORO LIBRARY! One thing that annoys me though is why all the red slashes on the cheeks..... I thought it was just because it was cold but even in their homes they have those red slashes. Took me a while to stop staring at their cheeks so much.

I just skimmed the thread and won't go into the whole genetic cloning specifics but to give a reply to the original post. I think it's human arrogance that humans will always be the best. From what Vinnie posted each Zent ace was bested by a member of the human race and thats pretty ridiculous to me. If there is always someone better why can't there be a Zent that bested Max or Isamu or even a protodevlin that wasn't conquered by human will. This is why I liked the Alien movies.... it's shown who's the dominating species and humans just keep surviving. It's a never ending struggle like the tennis game mentioned earlier in the thread... sometimes you win sometimes you lose but neither will humiliate the other. The female and male Zents fought each other for generations this way but in just a couple years of contact with humans they fall? Again it seems far fetched but I guess this sort of story telling is needed to keep our species content that we are the masters of the universe since we dominate our own planet.

Actually it was explained how the style worked in the first episode and I still don't care fot it! To each their own! B) 8 mins...really!? seemed longer!

I was disappointed in how utterly stupid it was. His fighting skill is drop his pants and walk like a girl! After watching one ep I was holding my head.. I don't think I laughed one time within that 20 min period. (was it 20 min? felt like it and possibly longer if it wasn't) Mostly just wondered why I was toturing myself. Their voices even got on my nerves and this isn't because I have to serious anime, hell I liked Hand Maid May, but this was just ridiculous.

Thanks! I have never seen a widescreen version but wanted to know if anyone else had. I have actually been holding off on buying the movie because of the chance there was a WS version.

That's all there is to it. I don't think it was Robin getting out of the cab though. The series ended the same way it started leading one to believe there's a new adventure. Robin and Amon are probably in hiding so that they are not hunted and reseed the earth with witches who choose not to hurt others by being able to feel sadness and pity for a weaker species. Until that day comes STN-J will hunt as they always have upon withches who's desire for power opress others. Hope that helps!

That's kinda my point about Macross zero, how realistic is it that all the mechs appear more advanced than those from the original series that came after them? Not many anime fans today would watch 70's to early 80's style anime just for the sake of continuity. The key to more money is more consumers. It looks like the GATS can just flip back to the elbow joint thus putting the hands up front for hand to hand or use of a gun pod. The upsidedown hands would support this. I don't think it's a weight issue. In a densly populated area or rough terrain legs are ideal but on streets and open areas motorized wheels would be faster than running legs. I believe the use of them in targeting would be greatly increased too since the speed of turn radius would almost be instantaneous. BTW... AC is the greastest mech game there is!
