Based on the details, the CD release for Ranka contains 3 nose art stickers in pastel colors. I suppose it's 3 because we've already seen two of them. (There's this peeping tom theme in the two releases, if you haven't noticed). The one for Sheryl will only have 2 stickers, but their colors are gold and silver. I suppose the one we've seen will be the gold one, it's got a dominant gold color anyway. The other one will be silver...

I'm still hoping for a BGM only album, or at least an album with BGM

I thought that was just a sign that she was rapidly dying - people who age get duller hair color through time, and since she was nearing death, it just made sense that they make her lose that youthful luster. It wasn't just her hair that lost its youthful color, from what I remember.

I'm still skeptical on preordering the vocal compilation. Have to see the track list to be sure. I sure hope they made a BGM only CD :c

I think this kind of poll would be best posted on a non-Macross forum though. But if ever, my answer to this would have to be a "no". I can't see a category in which the Macross F OSTs would hold up against some of Kanno's other works. Best vocals would be with GITS:SAC, Arjuna and Bebop. BGM would be with Escaflowne, Aquarion, Brain Powerd. Use in animation, hands down Bebop - the OP, ED, Green Bird, Blue scenes among others are very very very memorable. I can't think of a Macross F music scene that gave me the same feeling as when I was watching those Bebop scenes. Although that's not to diss the Macross F OSTs, cause unlike some Kanno OSTs, I'd give this one an above average grade on all criteria mentioned above Oh, I voted for Diamond Crevasse, then if there's a second choice it'd have to be Northern Cross.

Voices for better singer, Aimo Tori no Hito for better arrangement. But I can't listen to Aimo anymore no matter how good I think the Tori no Hito and OC versions are.

OT (I don't want to rain on the manly tears parade, but I just want to share my experience) - I didn't shed any tears for Grave of the Fireflies... poverty is something quite common in my country that GOTF didn't look that impoverished, nor heart-rending at all. I made a positive review of this film for a college paper and all my professor commented was, "The developed countries are always the ones making films about suffering from war, aren't they?" I thought, well, because they have to money to do so... I still liked the animation regardless.

But that was an animation mistake, this one also deserves notice since there wasn't really anything wrong with it, except that Sheryl looks awful. Apart from correcting inconsistencies, they are also re-animating scenes that are just bad in quality. I wonder how much rework episode 8 got.

My primary affiliation is YKDB so I'll join that community - I've started it there and volunteered to mix The moderator of YKFan also expressed interest, I hope the rest of their forum is equally enthusiastic It doesn't really take much to mix music, just an ear for volume and the software. For me, Kawamori + Kanno (Macross +, Macross F, Arjuna, Escaflowne) is only second to Watanabe + Kanno (Macross+, Bebop, Baby Blue), but only a few notches. Two really great directors who know their music, I'm always excited to hear when these people are working together! *giddy*

I would hazard a guess that Brera got the brunt of the loss I seriously don't mind them adding more Sheryl to the story. I wonder what would have happened if Ohnogi had the control of all the characters and how they reacted to situations that Kawamori wrote.

What about Macross Radio? They play quite a number of bgms there... but most from what I remember, were also played in the animation.

From what I know, red herrings are deliberate plot lines to mislead people from focusing on the main issue right? I don't think Mao's relation to Sheryl was a red herring at all. If it was a red herring... what was it trying to keep us away from focusing on? I really thought Sheryl being a Nome would have much, more significance than what she had during the end. If only they planned her right from the start.
