We had a thanksgiving down here the day Bushes term ended if that counts..... yeah all the shows i followed took a break, which kinda sucks.
-
I didnt say the lack of action was BAD, but its definitely less than even early SG1. Its a less action oriented series; nothing wrong with that, but it IS busy
-
shes pretty new yeah, so u shouldnt have to much trouble I think.

I'm on record here and elsewhere as saying i preferred Atlantis to SG1, at least initially. They got a bit scattered in the last season, but overall I liked it more than SG1. Why? Part of it was I liked the setting a lot. I thought the sets and vehicles in ATlantis were great. The main room with the gate was a phenomenal set, and i always liked the look of the city from the exterior as well. Plus I liked the team, the stories were fun and i liked the Wraith as villains. Yes, the Replicators sucked. frankly i didnt like them in SG`1 either though so I just sucked that up. Thats not to say SG1 was ba dor i didnt like it; It was still a great show. I think one of the reasons it succeeded was that while it could be serious, they never forgot that TV entertainment is supposed to be fun. Yes, u can have that serious episode (The one where the doctor dies came close to choking me up) that is great, but you can also have Wormhole Extreme for entertainment value. SGU is a more seedate series, and definitely doesn thave the action of previous shows. I do miss a bit of the run n gun form the other series, but thatsa not to say the series isnt enthralling, because it is. And it isnt oppressive, which was my main gripe with BSG; It felt so overwhelmingly heavy that I just wasnt having fun anymore. SGU is balancing that nicely I think. In fact the only character I dont like is Young; He seems to be kind of an ass at times just coz he's "Hard nosed". And then we get the other COlonel (WHose name eludes me) who is evn more of a Douche to make it seem like Young aint so bad. But, still, the show is going well for me. Im not sure what the response in the US is, but the few Gate fans I know down here are enjoying it.

GOt myself a scramble at yavin pack today. VERY nice little set. Maybe not worth the price it goes for, but nice none the less.

So started playing AC2; Its pretty good. It starts very slowly, taking awhile to build its momentum. 2 Hours of play, and i have only been in the Assassins gear about 20minutes. im at the point now where I have enough to start doing some side missions i think and wandering around. The gameplay is much more varied, and the city looks and feels great. being able to blend with moving foot traffic or go over the rooftops adds a lot of variety to the game. So far I like it way more than the first one and I liked the first one! -

Assassins Creed 2 tonight!!!!! Excitement! -
I know I should find that tripe and degrading.... but I still had a pretty pleasant image in mind when i thought about it.

Man I hope Hasbro do a Defender. That would be so awesome. Heck theres a bunch of vehicles I want Hasbro to do, but doubt we'll see. E-Wings look awesome for example. New Cloudcar (They've said no to that). a Tantive IV playset. Theres so many things that would look awesome.

Thats so awesome Hasbro has said no more comic packs to come out, and we dont get the KOTOR and LEGACY ones we saw at SDCC. :(

Perhaps. Aayla needs a redo SO bad. Shes one of the weakest Jedi in the line now, especially of the more active Knights.

I had a HEAP of stuff arrive today: Joker Squad - AQll awesome, with Darth Maleval being one of the best Sith figures Ive seen. Just an AWESOME looking toy! Ithorian Jedi - Name eludes me this second, but a cool looking toy. Cad Bane: If he had swivewl wrists and knees then he would be awesome. As is, he's still pretty good. Gen Grevious: The one discussed a couple of pages back, this is an AMAZING toy. The arms dont attach together well, but I guess thats ok since Ill display them seperate Zev Zuke...something - The Rogue pilot from the snowspeeder. Lack of elbow and should ball joints suck, but othewrwise cool. Hawkbat trooper: Not bad, nothing special Plo Koon - The new one with removable mask. VERY cool toy, and I wont be needing a Plo Koon toy ever again. I dont like the saber gauntlet, but thats OK. Also another John Branon pilot to customise, a couple of droids and Bob Foruna, who I also got just to customise not a bad day!

Hold off on the ATAT, its been heavily rumoured to be the next upsized release by Hasbro.

Episode 8 was pretty good. i mean yeah, it'll be resolved with Time Travel, but it was still a good episode, and showed some good acting from several cats members. Still loving the series!

I didnt mind Darth Talon, but I prefer Nihls in the Legacy books. He's pretty frikken Badass. But then Cade has become one of my favourite Star Wars characters ina very short amount of time, so he still wins

Is it wrong that I laughed out loud at that?

I didnt think of the end as a cliffhanger. It was more like the end of The Incredibles; On to the next battle! -

It has? How much of season 2 do we get? -
oh god, you're not one of those "the avatar movie is racist' people are you? *sigh* Yes the series has asian origins. Yes, sokka and Kitara could have been played by people with more of an inuitt ancestory. Yes they asked for some white kids in the audition. but here are some more facts: *M Nigh Shamylan is Indian. He's the writer, director and producer. So he made a lot of these final choices himself. *Jesse Mccartney was originally cast as Zuko, but he had a conflict and so M Night listened to people who bitched about the white cast and hired Dev patel... and then got told he was racist. *How easy do you think it is to find 12yr olds who can act and are proficient in martial arts? And assuming u find one, whos to sayt hey want to do it? Trust me, u take talent when u have it. Not that I know if he can act, Im just not going to prejudge it. Sorry, this sounds slightly douchier than i should be, but Im too tired to think up a more polite response and too annoyed at the day to not post it. Im just over prejudging stuff before we have seen much of anything for it. Sometimes things can surprise you. i direct your gaze at the new Star Trek...

Um.... TLA has finished principle shooting and is in post production. Night also directed the film, as well as produced and co-wrote. I dont know why u are thinking it wont be coming, its over halfway done.... edit: And he doesnt put a twist in all his films, Ive never understood why people think that. 6th Sense: Definite Twist Unbreakable: Same Signs: again, more of a reveal than a twist. The Village: Not really, more of a plot reveal than a twist Lady in the water: No twist The Happening: No Twist I should also say the ponly film of his that was really bad was The Happening, and thats because he didnt seem to know how to end it.

guy who reads comics decides to become a super hero. No powers or training, just decides to go do it. Not a bad comic.
