It's some sort of cross section on the shoulder I think. The top part looks like the connection point for the shoulder fast pack. Cool lookin pics, Can't wait for the final color ones.

That's a great deal if it's the renewal, but for that price I doubt it is. you may have grabbed the V1, which isnt as good sadly.

i dont know if i'd get bandai VF-1's. I have alot of the Yammies, I dont need to get them all over again.

1 - YF-25 Prophecy.. Could be cool. 2 - VF-27 Lucifer in Green 3 - VF-25F Tornado Parts. I'm not a massive fan of the Tornadoes, but its an important set for the series, so I want it. 4 - VF-25S Reissue and one for the Armor as well. And more loosely, I could be OK with getting alternate schemes for the 29 and 30. 29 im slightly more wary of, since I'll have 3 already. The 30 i want to see what its like in hand before making further decisions on other schemes.

Im not convinced we'll see V3''s. Not sure why they would, the renewals are doing just fine for them.

He also only uses them in Gerwalk, never in fighter whilst in atmosphere.

Actually, now i think about it, so can the 17, the 27, the 0..... Lots use Fp's in Atmosphere.

Well we know in space the Valks and beyond should close the intake covers on the engines. I believe except for animation mistakes they do. I assume this is to protect the blade turbines from dust and micrometeors in space. The Fp's cover the intakes because they arent being used in space, and it gives the plane a new point of armor to protect a vulnerable area. i have always assumed that most VF series fighters cannot fly in atmosphgere with their packs on, the 19 and 21 being rare exceptions. As to what the packs contain; alot of them have nozzles for extra maneuvering in space, so I assume they have propellant for those, provide armor, and past the 11 series have micro missile pods for extra offensive capabilities.

i have been umming and ahhing these for years, but i have so many fighters now I'd need to spend a couple of hundred bucks to have enough of the damn things. I'm tempted, but then i think "Or I could buy more toys...."
