I love that there is a page of discussion on this...
  3. i also find legs in fighter dont lock right. the slide to keep them in place usually falls back.
  4. I dont think so, it looks like plastic. Ill have a look tonight again.
  5. What part are u talking about?
  6. ah. my mistake i knew some part of the team wasnt involved. Im not ANTI a metal siren. Its not a bad fighter, and it looks pretty cool in Battroid. But i dont see yamato worrying about it when there are so many more 'mainstream' macross fighters out there.
  7. huh. well, bummer then. I liked the Sparas....i rmeember that old robotech toy that transformed and had a pilot. always loved that toy. I had it for years. In fact I wonder what I ever did with that....
  8. ill go home and loosen those screws tonight. Thanx Alex Ill also take a few sets i imagine. Do u have an estimated cost? Oh, and u never replied to my pm.
  9. Doubtful. Yamato gets Kowamori to approve their designs, and Macross 2 was done without his or anyone at Big Wests imput. I could see another company MAYBE making them, but not Yamato.
  10. I just paid $75 us for my 1/60 1a Max, but that included shipping to Australia. They're pretty cheap. They look ok. I wouldnt say they're awesome, but they are far from terrible. Im hoping Yamato will redo some 1/60 VF-1's, but thats an argument thats been had across multiple threads already. Id say get em if u can find em.
  11. This would just be restarting an argument again..... anyway, a hovertank would be bigger than 4inches surely.... It'd be shorter than a 1/60 vf-1 but not by much. I dont remember space hovertanks. then again ive only seen SC in Robotech, so maybe they left that out.
  12. Me too man, no 2 ways about it. I htink a grey 19 would look a little flat, though it would depend on the trim. a black and red schemed 19 would looks AWESOME!
  13. My 1/48s have taken tumbles. I had a head laswer break on my low viz 2, ands thats about it. i have this weird plastic thing happening on the hip of the max j, whihc Ill try n get pics of sometime. its like the plastic is almost seeping out the hip socket. Despite that Ive transformed it a few times and it seems fine.
  14. and almost as entertaining!
  15. i always liked those southern cross hovertanks.... in 1/60 scale they wouldnt be huge and expensive either
  16. Up till this year id had a good run. I may love the zeros, but they have had their issues! The garland was just a problem form the start. I dont know anyone who has transferred theirs who hasnt had the shoulde rbreak
  17. i stand corrected.
  18. see, now THATS a Zero custom!
  19. ive owned alot of Yamatos. and I have only had 3 types break: Garland broken twice. the first one, and its replacment. oa: broken tail spikes, both arms shattered in diff spots os: first had pins fall out of the shoulder joints, and a crack developed in left shoulder. otherwise ive done fine., I STILL have a 1/72 with FPs thats in good shape. 6 1/48,s, a bunch of the 1/60s, all the Mac plus stuff....all of it was fine.
  20. Doesnt Kakizake just fly a CF in the series?

    Help Me Choose

PMed ya Kensei Id also go for a Stealth or Low viz 2 over the DYRL schemes. They look totally different and are very cool toys in their own right.
  22. yeah my wing joint is loose, but it doesnt bother me hugely. Its a toy, and stuff like that happens to toys.
  23. notice all the pics are in fighter mode?
  24. Im not made of money either mate. Im married and only just got a fulltime job. I spend a lot on these guys, but its money i dont spend on whatever else. it all balances out. 2 points i think: 1) What's 'definitive'? How do u define definitive? Best? Coz if so the 48 is debateably thye best of the vf-1s. Its certainly the best to me. Maybe not to everyone though. Some people love the 1/60s. thats their definitive valk. The bringing out of a new VF-1 in another scale, no mattr what scale it is, doesnt make it definitive unless u like it more. 2) i dont know yet if Yamato IS phasing out the 1/48s. Its slowed, yes, but the kakizake and angel bird are....what at most 3 months old? and we still have the urban camo gbp. I dont recall seeing the stealth or LV2 all that long before they came out. theres life in the old girl yet. Heck, in Grahams interview he said Yamato was considering rereleasing the max n milia. if thats true, that will be more new ones on the way. and the tirade was a general one, not specifically at you.
  25. hence I might just stick to one black, one nora and then leave the 51 line alone
