Im sorry, I didnt mean to come across as worked up about it. I believe the emoticon is used to designated a mirthful tone. Thats certainly how I meant it. Also, my list isnt wishful thinking; Im a tad over half way, hence my modest wishes. If we want to go wishful thinking, Id grab a stack more VF-1's, probably the Hayao types, and repaint them at will. Fun custom times! Id also grab 7 or 8 more 0A's and do different schemes on em. my list was more of a realisitc ideal. Thats all

well. This thread took a nasty turn. i like my 19. Ive never stated otherwise. It had some minor issues. I fixed em. Ive been buying Marvel Legends since the Spiderman classics line first came out, and they have problems all the time. Loose parts, soft plastic, broken bits, bent bits...the list goes on. i fix em or swap em for new ones. the only Yamato product thats really bothered me was the Garland. it was clear from early on that the shoulders were 2 weak. that should have been fixed much sooner than it was. I also dont necessarily agree with this "Yamato should have told us" concept. Thats crap. They tell us whats coming in advance of its arrival. who out there seriously thought we would never see another version of the 19? Fast packs, repainted whatever...did any of u truly believe this was it? If so then quickly snatch up a 51, coz they'll NEVER do that again! C'mon guys! There are....what 12 or so different flavours of VF-1? David is right; the 19 is arguably the 2nd most popular valk in macross. they will do several versions, u watch. Its the whole reason I didnt buy 2 right off the cuff to customise; they will do more. U dont like the fold booster pack? to expensive? Thats cool. Wait awhile and get the next 19 to come out. Me? Im torn. the more i look at the set the more i like it. Ill have to see what it will cost me in the end. Hell, I paid $375 Aussie for my low viz 1, so it cant be worse than that! Lets just chill! Im not saying the complaints arent valid. QC with Yamato can be a problem, we have all seen it. But the choice to buy is entirely with you.

i voted in the middle as well, because its the closest to my feelings. It a wonderful toy, but its not a POS or the TOTY.

I love how people keep listing things that arent made yet. Someones not reading the first post! people have much grander schemes about their collections than me....one for each mode and what not. I couldnt affrod to do that even if i wanted too

Yellowing is pretty long term in terms of problems. it doesnt often occour this soon into a toys life, unless left ina REALLY bad environment. i wouldnt anticipate it being a problem for a few years yet

im very happy there are new toys. i just dont like paying more than they're worth.

i know thats a bizarre kinfa statement for toy collectiors, since we never stop collecting. But lets say of all the Yamatos out there at the moment, what do u have and need to complete the collection? Lets stop at items we KNOW FOR A FACT are coming. so no 1/60 YF-21 or whatever, though we assume they are. So for me: in 1/48 Im about halfway to wear i want to be. I have Roy and max DYRL, i still want Hikaru and Hayao's valks, and then 3 sets of fast packs. Then Ill have my skull squadron. Miriya and Max's 1J's will be joined (I hope) some day bu Hikarus 1J with FPs, and that will be my vermillion squadron. The Stealth J, Low viz 1 and 2 and CF make up my 'earth' forces. I just need the Stealth for that set to be complete, and i also plan on a GBP v2 armour set. and an Angelbird which will be placed on a stand behind my minmei cm FIGURE. Then thats it! my 1/48 collection will be complete, at leats going by what is out now. VF-0. I have 2 0S's and 2 0A's. ill get the Shin and ghost, and mayeb an second ghost. havent decided. then Ill be done. I have the 2 1/60 QRaus, I have my max 1a to fight em and a 1/60 1D just coz i like the plane. I have the YF-19 and am yet to be convinced to get the new version wiht the fold booster. And ill get the black 51 to fight my 0'S! and there we go! if no toys came out beyond what we know now, thats what id want to be happy with my collection. Id probably start getting some more 1/48 Hikaru DYRL 1A's or something so i could do customs after that.... what about you?

But see BoB, thats not how u come across, at least to me. Especially the last couple of weeks, it has seemed almost liem a perverse pleasure for u to pop up in a thread and give a litle "fcuk u Yamato" in some way or another. When Graham asked what questions we wanted answered, u listed a whole bunch of joke/insult questions. Thats not constructive. No we don't. We dont have to buy anything. You can get vf-1s elsewhere. granted zeros and the m+ stuff is just Yamato, but u could alwyas buya model kit. We all CHOOSE to buy these toys.If u have one break onn you somehow, or they have a design fault, thats cool. Send it back if it happens again, then u have 3 choices; live with it, try to fix it, or take it back and pass on the product. batty and moan till yamato offer a solution, batty and moan about the solution and then batty and moan onc eu have it that it should hvave been right the first time is fine for awhile, but after awhile id be starting to wonder why u bought it in the first place. and THEN why you KEEP buying their stuff. If u are that let down by them, stop buying!

THE V-1 SEEMS DATED ONLT WHEN LOOKED AT IN THE ORIGINAL ANIMATION. IT FEELS MUCH SLEEKER IN DYRL, AND MODERN ART ON THE FIGHTER CAN MAKE IT LOOK QUITE IMPRESSIVLY SLEEK. I JUST PREFER THE ASTEHTIC OF THE ZERO. THE COCKPIT, WING AND TAIL SECTIONS, AS WELL AS THE UNDERSIDE CARRIAGE ALL FEEL COOLER TO ME. SCUSE CAPS IM AT WORK, AND WASNT WATCHING THE SCREEN

I really enjoyed Mckinneys novels. i felt like he was a closet macross fan, trying to work within the confines of the universe. a lot of waht he added to the story was really clever and cool. the initial chapters about the crash of the ass-1 and the events that followed were really neat to read. On topic, i think the "What if the zents never came" hasnt really been touched on yet. All the responses have been about humans knowing they werent coming from the get go. If events unfolded as they did up until the day of the Macross's first flight with no xentrans....then what?>
