u know Ive seen some of these in shops, and always been tempted to pick one up, but i have never seen the show. and they're eally expensive. Still, they look amazing.

i dont see any changes to the otehr ones, but at the same time they appear to be fine. i never noticed any problems with the last ones though, so I dunno what to look for... I can say that Garland has survived around 14 transforms with out so much as a chip. seems like the gfixed the issue! As for Garner; hes a great guy

I think he can turn it on and off. It seemed to be fluctuating when he first got it, and he seems to be able to use the heroes powers better than they can. I htink he can turn them on and off....

Well! Its now the 22nd of March here in Australia...and i recieved the replacement shoulders for my Garland today! If u read this thread u will see that i had 2 Garlands break in the same way; the shoulders, same as everyonee lse. I was eventually put in touch with a guy at Yamato USA, who was a very big help. he promised that new shoulder units were being made, and when they were he would send thm to me. In the same email he said if they werent made, he would send one of the newer garlands to me as a replacement. At no point did I have to return my previous unit (Again). Well i must say hes a man of his word. i got them today, and they do seem to be a much stronger plastic than before. i have attchaed the units and transformed the garland back and forth 3 times, as well as done some posing. Not a crack or stress mark in sight! Huzzah! While it WAS a long wait, i want to thank Garner for his help in this. He's kept me up to date on the progress of the shoulder units, and was prompt in sending them when they arrived. i hope everyone gives this very fine toy a chance when the newer versions come out, since I would have to assume they use these new shoulders as well. Now i just have to paitn up the figure...again.

There are a lot of animes that are fantastic that arnet coming of age stories. Ghost in the Shell in its various forms, Mac 0, Mac +, Bebop... hell even Last Exile, which was largely starring children, didnt really feel like a "coming of age" to me. As for the new series; Im all for an ova or longer series, but make sure u know where u are going and have it plotted first. Mac 7 is decompressed to far, and while i disagree that 0's ending was rushed, it still felt like it meandered around a lot before getting where it wanted to get.

Im actually not fussy. I think a low viz grey would be dull, but other than that Id be willing to look at anything

see, Im sorta the opposite; i ternd to not like aminstream anime as a whole. Sure i thought Bebop was awesoem, but hated the ending. Akira was so-so. Evangelion started well and gradually got worse and more depressing as it went along, till I stopped watching (I recently saw the ending and the films, which were even MORE depressing.) BGC was ok, but not great. 2040 started well, but about 3/4 of the way through became a different series and i stopped enjoying it. Fist of the Northstar was horrible. Wicked City, AD Police.....i just dont see the appeal! I dunno, I like Macross (duh) but most people remember it only as Robotech and dont get the difference. Astroboy was awesome. Mysterious Citys of gold was good. i should have posted at home, Id remember more titles i like if I could see my set. The last modern series i REALLY enjoyed was Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and its sequal.

u dont get the scott and bike though. only an alpha and a beta. and i dont even remember that from the series...

i remember seeing adds for transforming alphas and the scott with rider figures in the old robotech comic books. Man, I wanted those toys so bad...
