  1. u know i saw Armageddon again the other day, and i'd forgtten how fun it is. I don't think a film has to be GOOD to be FUN. I just saw Speed Racer, which was pretty bad overall. Lame acting, silly story, all the CG......but then as they got to the 3rd race I realised i had this big grin on my face. I was having fun watching this thing, bad or not. Armageddon is the same for me; Its a ludicrous idea, but its FUN to watch. Transformers is the same in a lot of ways. Sure, there are some monumental leaps in logic needed, and some of the scenes and characters just took up valuable airtime, but the flick is a BLAST to watch! Have we all become so jaded we forget what its like o just sit and grin at a flick?
  2. Yeah i didnt think there was an adaptor for the 19. i wish there was, that would be awesome! I managed to get the Fastpacks on ok, but the guns also wont stay in mine. actually, thats a lie, the left one locks in fine. the right however just falls off. No click no nothing. Just wont stay. not the worst problem ever, but frustrating. As for the leg position, Ill try again, but i think they're in the right places. We'll see!
  3. Ive noticed that. I have all the 1/100 00 stuff now, as well as the 1/144 and 1/60 Exias and the 1/400 ptolmaios. Im debating getting the main 4 again in 1/144 for work...
  4. Overall I really like the 21. More than i ever thought I would, given that the design has never been a favourite of mine. Like everyone, I have trouble getting back to fighter mode. It all just feel like its not locked together; the bellyplates wont link up at the rear for example. I have watched the transform guide and looked at every pic i can see, and i THINK the legs are in the right spots....I dunno what Im doin wrong. Also I cant seem to attach the fast packs with any degree of skill or accuracy. the ones on the tail go on fine, but getting them off is harder than i like. and the bellyplates, if by some miracle i get them ON wont come OFF very well! Im sure Im missing something, but i dunno what...
  5. the only thing i cant seem to get is the belly plates to stay all the way closed, so there is no gap at the back in fighter. otherwise a big help, thanks!
  6. i thought the 19 came with an attachment for stands?
  7. Woo! Got mine today! Shes gorgeous alright, though i havent had a chance to transform her yet. I carely had time toi get the gear out! Im fighting the urge to buy a 3rd YF-19 and a 2nd YF-21 and keep thewm her eon my desk at work...
  8. Scored myself the 1/100 overflag yesterday, and put it togetehr today. Not having to panel line sure does save some time! It looks pretty good all told. It has some major stability issues in flight mode, and i feel like i have missed something in how it locks together, but otherwise that mode looks ok. The robot mode looks very cool, though the wings get in the way a bit of the arms and legs. it ooks great when posed though, and fits on my 00 shelf quite nicely. Next: At home Im building the Ez8 MG, and at work the 1/144 Exia. Hopefully soon Ill have my Strike Noir and Zeta v2 to start on as well, but i havent heard back from Toy-wave yet. God help me, why do there have to be so many Gundams?
  9. Ah, so i wasnt the only one who felt that the last scene was meant for after the credits.
  10. I liked it too. Im not a huge Hulk fan, so i was never going to be their main market. But I enjoyed what I saw.
  11. Finally finished Astraea. Other than the shoulder antennas falling out if u look at it hard and the aforementioned ball joint hip issue, its a cool Gundam. The fold down heavy beam cannon and beam rifle both look great, as does the GN Sword on the arm. In fact the sword i almost like better than Exias, because it can still be stored witht he beam rifle in hand. In fact Im toying with getting a second one and modifying parts of it to fit with Exia. I think if i swap the swords over and give Exia the rifle Ill be slightly happier with the result. I like the Gun/sword combo, but i wish it could fold out of his hand like in the show. If he could store it while holding his hip blades for example, Id be more inclined to pose him with those attached. Still, all in all its a cool looking Gundam, and fits the 00 Asthetic. Worth grabbing for sure.
  12. Other than the lame monster fight in the middle (Both a bad idea and badly executed) this was a decent Ep. Loved the Zero moments, it makes the whole universe feel more connected, like hearing Fire Bomber songs in the early eps. Also, WAY less fanservice, which was a bonus. Frontier continues to be fun for me, though not my Fav macross series.
  13. Ive glued the 2 halves together at the lock points, but kept the inner 'rubber' joint moving, which seems to have worked. I just found it odd that I had the same issue with the same leg on both Exia and Astrea. SInce they use many of the same parts i just wondered if it was a problem with the kit design, and if it happeend to nayone else.
  14. Does anyone else who have the Exia/Astrea have trouble witht he ball joint on one of the hips? On both of mine it keeps springing apart when i move the leg. I may have to glue it I think.... So finished Assembly on Zeta Plus and Red Frame Atray; both are cool, though i did a lame job of painting Astrays sword. Zeta Plus is one of my favourites todate; looks awesome in both modes, transforms well, cool colour scheme. I have a Zeta 2.0 on the way to me, so that will be one of the next ones I do, along with the Strike Noir. That puts me at 11 completed MG, 1 1/60 Exia and one 1/400 Patolmaios. Not bad for a beginner
  15. I liked Xiii for what it was, but yeah, it wasnt Patlabor. Thought GITS was ok, but found it vaguly confusing. Thought innosence was kinda boring. Ill stick to the SAC series for my GITS needs.
  16. Hell, Micahel Bay was quoted sometyhing like "You dont get me in to make you Shindlers list. You call me when you want lots of $#!+ to explode." Say what u will about the man, but he knows the kind of filmmaker he is. Personally I htought TYransformers kicked ass.
  17. i dug the first one, but the second was terrible. maybe the third will be better1 lets hope. and i didnt know Jason Strathem was gay. There ya go.
  18. Seeing that pic reminds me: Why does everything from Hong Kong come in green paper. Ive been meaning to ask for awhile now...
  19. The Trans Am was a Plan B. if something happened they couldnt overcome before the plan came to fruition, or if the station was threatened, then the TA systems were unlocked. It meant that Veda had been compromised and he would have to give more power to the Meisters themselves, who are isolated from that part of the overall plan. The Meisters are never confused about their part in the plan; Alleluiah says something early on about being destinied to die as a Meister for their dream. Sumeragai certainly knows thats where it was heading. Part of the problem with the traitors was that it accelerated the plans that had been so carefully laid out by Aeolia. Luckily, he had anticipated it, and introduced trans am to help counter that threat.
  20. Actually that's not true. Celestial Beings plan was to cause the world to unite by prsesnting them with a threat that the nations could not face alone. By interveneing against multiple enemies on multiple fronts, they caused everyone to set aside their differences and focus on them. And moreover, they are at least partially successful, since the world has a united government at the end, or at least a strong union of governments. That's what hooked me in; You're right we SHOULD want them to be stopped on some level. They are the terrorists of the story, they are the BAD guys on a lot of levels, no matter their reasons for being so. Not true, as stated above: Unite the world against them. In one of the later episodes when they are being attacked, Sumeragai says something along the lines of it being expected that this is what it would come too. There are a lot of clues there, but yes no answers yet. BUT, keep in mindwe have only seen half the series. I again disagree. Yes, they only have four Gundams, but early on (Before the Azadistan intervention i think) it's stated that they have made over 60 interventions in only a few months. I get the impression the mesiters dont get a heap of downtime. Also its the arguement about the army or police; they cant be everywhere at once, but they may show up and catch u, so u should be careful anyway. Because CB went after a lot of different groups at different times for differing reasons, the world had cause to worry. Yes, but it took a united effort of the world governments to do so. which was part of the plan for CB. True, but im missing the connection to the other stuff u are saying. Which is intertesting n all, but i should have to read side stories to get the whole tale. The series should stand on its own. Wolfx actually said a lot of other stuff i agree with too
  21. i think Ill geta Tieren, though Im not a huge fan of the mech. I like the 00 series enought o want to grab more of them. Cant wait for the flag though. Got Astrea today. Started assembling; many similar part to the Exia. cool mech.
  22. i dont think thats final paint, id say its still a proto
  23. me too. I like it!
  24. Just finished my Zeta Plus custom (Karaba production type). Its debateably the best ofth Gundam models i have currently assembled. Looks awesome, is a nice size, is tight in both modes.....just an amazing kit. i might get another one...
  25. anyone else thinks its funny BOB went quiet once we realised there were essentially no design issues or QC issues with the toy?
