    Upgraded Valks

From the album: Macross CG Fan Art

Made some quick upgrades to my Valkyrie fighter 3D model; added some missiles.

    Macross CG Fan Art

Various images featuring Macross Valkyries and non-canon Macross characters. Mostly my own 3D models. Please use common decency and don't claim it as your own work on some other forum (it's silly that I have to say this now).

Testing missile and exhaust effects. Probably need to tone down the brightness of the flames, but definitely sticking to the Macross-Blue exhaust colors.

Reverse angle of the previous pic: The revision of one of the Enigma paint schemes for Burning Bushes team, previously shown as a Battroid, this time in Fighter mode. 3ds max and a bit of Photoshop; Vue background.

    Fire Walkers 2

From the album: Macross CG Fan Art

A better view of Fire Walkers, without the pilots and with a better background. Custom Valkyrie paint schemes shamelessly appropriated and adapted from "SVF-51 Yellow Jacket," a scheme in Variable Fighter Master File VF-1 Valkyrie.

    A New Enigma

From the album: Macross CG Fan Art

An update of an old picture, now with paint schemes updated to be more distinctive, rather than have each team member with slightly different shades of gray. Gave some details to the visors on the head this time. Scheme based on various versions of the "Enigma" schemes for Valkyrie and F-15 model kits. Poser, Photoshop, an old Vue sky for the background.
  9. From the album: Macross CG Fan Art

Scheme for the captains in the Fire Snakes squadron. The other two leaders would have different colored stripes. This one's distinction is gold stripes.

    Wildfire

From the album: Macross CG Fan Art

Wildfire Scheme for Wildfire, a 3-member team within Fire Snakes squadron. Based mostly on the "Rollout Commemorative Ceremony Paint VF-1A" scheme from the Variable Fighter Master File VF-1 Valkyrie book.

    Fire Walkers

From the album: Macross CG Fan Art

Karif Qureshi, team leader of Fire Walkers, and his squad mates Chloe and Laelea happily chat away after a routine flight. Male flight suit is a WIP and will have a wrinkle morph like the women’s suits. Suits, props, figure morphs made in Max and ZBrush. Custom Valkyrie paint schemes shamelessly appropriated and adapted from a scheme in the book Variable Fighter Master File VF-1 Valkyrie. Rendered in Poser and Photoshop.
  12. Yep, I like what you've done here. Is that a dome you've added there? I would guess yes since the title says something about the Megaroad.
  13. Looking forward to that. Kim is my favorite Bridge Bunny!
  14. For anyone with a GearVR or an Oculus Rift, I took my very old Macross Valkyrie cockpit and rendered it in a 360-degree 3D view. The viewer sits in Hikaru’s VF-1J, and wingmen are visible to the left and right. This was a quickie, and there are issues with this old cockpit model that I only noticed once I was “sitting” in it. Some panels are definitely wrong. I had to make stuff up, or interpret things from screencaps of the show back then. Quick hacks were made for visibility purposes, and the front instrument monitors have yet to be textured. But it’s an interesting, if slightly incomplete, experience. Also, I've never sat in a fighter cockpit, so is it natural for the nosecone to obstruct the view so much? I cheated and moved it down out of view because it kinda bugged me.
  15. Nicely done! I always enjoy seeing Misa and Millia *ahem* out of uniform.

Using mechmaster’s Battroid model again, re-mapped to see how one of my custom Valkyrie fighter squads would look in Battroid mode. A useful exercise, as there were definite changes to be made that I will carry back to the fighters’ paint scheme. I also tried to reflect the personalities of the pilots in the poses. Textures based off of the Enigma scheme as seen in the plastic kit hobby mags.
  17. Ha, in the year or so that it will take me to build a VF-4, yeah maybe! Although, since the VF-4 is mostly a space fighter, it might be fun work on an outer space Valk scene as well. I have yet to try one of those.
  18. Agreed. I ordered the VF-4 Master File book last week, and can't wait to see it. There's something about those 80's anime aircraft designs. The Vf-4 and the others mentioned above, and the aircraft in Crusher Joe and other shows of that era (which shows my age, too) have a certain aesthetic that's always appealed to me. I look forward to the redos of the the VF-9 and VF-3000, but they already looked pretty awesome already to me.

    Gone Batty

From the album: Macross CG Fan Art

A revised version of something I posted on DeviantArt. Using mechmaster's VF-1 Battroids, I remapped the model somewhat to improve my VF-1S Fokker texture, and to create a Hikaru VF-1J texture. No weathering effects on them yet...
  20. From the album: Macross CG Fan Art

A pilot chats with her wingmen on her viewscreen during a night patrol. Cockpit render; flight suit and Valkyrie with very non-canon color schemes. Cockpit is still kind of low-poly, and a WIP.
  21. Thanks so much! I'd love to put my pilots and Valks in hangar scenes if I could ever figure out the references for Prometheus' hangar. I have the upper deck roughly built, but might just have to try to copy some Nimitz photos to make hangar scenes. BTW, I've quite enjoyed the VF-4s, -3000s, and -9s that you've posted, despite lurking and not commenting. Other than the VF-1, those 3 happen to be my favorite Valkyries.
  22. Thanks, glad you like it!
  23. Thanks!! Ha, cool! I'd love to see what you did with it.

    Team Blaze

From the album: Macross CG Fan Art

Trying out custom textures, with three variations on the same theme. Texture was based off of one of the Blue Roses schemes created by Jung from the Macross World Forums for the 1/48 toy Valkyrie.
