Well, after watching the first episode of this i can say that all the magic and success of Gokaiger is completely missing.....completely. i could of written a better western variation of this crap AND would of been epic.

K bit of warning. There's a piece that you need to plug into the gundam X's backpack that also plugs into the Sattelite recievers. This piece while meant to move around is very fragile from the backpack side and can snap super easy. I'll get the 2 part numbers later after I check to see if the super glue did the trick. But if this area breaks it totally ruins the functionality of the Sattelite weaponary. Parts are D 3 and D 6. Very fragile.

Gundam Build Fighters/Build Fighters Try
Hikuro replied to VF-15 Banshee's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
actually the "hero robot" has always existed in Gundam. the RX-78-2 was the main focus of the whole Gundam 0079 series, Amuro was the only one with that specific Gundam, and in each series, there's been a variation of the Gundam design served as the hero robot. in some cases there's a blur if you take Gundam Wing for example, originally the hero robot was the wing, then it moved to the zero, but in all each Gundam served a specific purpose making them all the hero. G Gundam obviously the hero was the Shining then the God Gundam. Zeta gundam, at first it was the MK-II then it obviously moved to Zeta, Double Zeta and so forth. so in terms of Real Robot Concept, we're given the fact that you don't need voice activation or super transformations of ridiculous skyscraper proportions. We're given a more realistic approach that the robots serve a specific purpose moving from construction of colonies to warfare. Here in Build fighers, it serves a similar styling as to G Gundam in most ways. They fight, and fight and continue to fight until one of them proves to be the number 1 fighter. BUT, we're gonna market the crap out of different mobile suit designs, and we're gonna have all these really stupid accessories that kids are gonna wanna buy. We'll make Master Grades for the older crowd cause they'll like that, but let's use our 1/144 product so ANYONE can buy Gunpla and make it more affordable and cheaper to produce. I just bought a Star Build strike and as I was putting it together I was scratching my head going "Wait.....why didn't they offer at least stickers for the entire shield?! Wait....Why not just make them all seperate layered pieces to avoid now stickering AND painting?!" The bloody shield is practically stickers and paint! So if anything, it reminded me why i don't buy 1/144's unless they're Real Grade variants. And if you wanna get technical about designs, I think they actually asked for fans to design Gundams that would be showcased in some way, i think that was stated a page or two back during Maoh's battle with Sei and Reiji.- 971 replies

Gundam Build Fighters/Build Fighters Try
Hikuro replied to VF-15 Banshee's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Uh, Macross the Ride? I mean yeah I get what you mean, but this is not going to be one of those kind of shows, and it was pretty obvious when the hero mech concept work was shown and it was just a rehashed Strike Gundam.- 971 replies

Gundam Build Fighters/Build Fighters Try
Hikuro replied to VF-15 Banshee's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
The point of the series is that you can do anything to make your own special gunpla, be it a gundam or something else. These are all mostly kids or young adults who aspire to be great model builders and put their figures to the test. That's what BF is establishing in some way. Why do we gotta have "professional" mechanical designs for a show clearly aimed at children to buy plastic model kits?- 971 replies

Hah okay, good score. local hobby store had both MG X Gundam and MG Build strike. They're also stocking up on Build fighter kits so i picked up Star build. I'm a bit meh on it. I usually ignore HG kits cause of all the paint jobs and lack of detail replaced with stickers. Damn, it needs a lot of paint!

I was out and about today while I was getting a full on detail and sat radio installed into my car.I stopped at a comic shop about 2 miles from Cartoys and they usually don't stock Gunpla but boy did they this time, hell not to bad of deals either, cheaper than the hobby store close to it. I almost picked up a GM Jesta or the new 1/144 Double X. But something in me just said no. Also saw the Strike Freedom.....so close, was so so close.

Saw it as well. Sorta my lonely movie day. It wasn't bad, I think it could of been better. But all in all it was not bad. I AM scared of seeing it again because I might not like it as much the second time. At least the movie only cost me 3 bucks.

All the parts are at work since that's where all my tools are. Honestly I dunno if it's something i can get off a used hard drive. The person I bought the first main board from is sending me another one that's from Toshiba claiming it could work. What I had before was a Seagate and I believe those are encrypted, at least I know they are now. What irks me off though is the person i bought the first board from, I told them exactly what I was looking for, and I'm on their page and they got the stupid correct board! I just feel like I'm being jerked around.

Well guys I have some sad news to report. Last month I was about to go thru my hard drive cause i was thinking maybe it's time to bring back snippits of DYRL 2.0 and maybe experiment with ways of bringin the entire film back. Well, as I said I was about to go thru the hard drive and I found out the USB receiver port was broken right off. I took the drive apart, found the part I needed but sadly, no one makes it anymore it's out of date. I've been in talks with someone who sold me the wrong main board and they're currently trying to send me something of the equivalence of it so I can transfer all data onto a new HDD. It would seem I have completely lost the film, and all other projects I ever had set aside. I know a few of you guys had downloaded the 2.0 dub since it's release last year. If anyone still has it, please notify me as I may need to get the file from you so it can be archived and kept safe so something like this doesn't happen again.

mine after a year now pretty much gathers dust on my display. I've never stickered this beautiful bird cause I just don't think she needs it. Actually no, it's because they don't give you instructions on where to place the damn things! Still got all the stuff for it though, instructions, stickers, box, if I ever do sell it or need to pack it away I can at least sell it mint after giving her a bit of a wipe down.

picked up a Nikon D5200 a month ago. This week we've had a giant snow storm so I just captured a few and had them placed on this laptop while my Mac contains the majority of everything else I've done. Sorry this isn't much of anything awesome, I didn't wanna slip and fall from any of this, it was very slick.
-
It should fit together really well, I never had any problems like that. Really the worst offenders are the hip kibble for fighter mode, and the fact the legs don't lock into the fighter mode body. that insanely pissed me off. Seeing how you gotta sticker the back of the legs with the numeric designation "007" etc, you lose that detail cause they'll slightly sag down.
-
oh yeah i actually got an email over that. Hmmmm I dunno where I wanna see it or if I wanna see it on imax.

I think over somewhere in the fanworks section or the modeling section it's hard to remember, there's a big thread about paper modeling there to check out and you can necropost there to bring out more interest. I myself do more prop building using paper craft than I do with mecha and such. I've been apart of a prop building group for a little over a year now and we've been building a ton of Halo armor.

Still working on my destiny gundam, didn't have any time last night. I did however caved in and ordered gundam age unit 1. I always did like that version over the others as it just felt close to the original in some way, not very the top until the equipment rolled out. I almost got the unit 2 variant, but I wanna wait and see how I like this one.

I'm going to see it at the very least, even if i gotta go by myself which'll be a drag. But everything I'm reading says it's a fairly decent flick, but like IGN said, forgetable. And if yous ee it a second time, you notice the flaws a lot more.
-
it crossed my mind, but that was 41.25 while I think the Destiny was even cheaper than the Amazon listing by PENNIES. Justice to me is a purple Gundam with a Base jabber backpack, it never really appealed to me. If I did buy one, I'd want Infinite Justice to go with Strike Freedom tbh. Only got the weapons, shield and backpack done. Usually I start sticker application when the whole thing is finished. But it's given me an urge to watch SEED again.

I had that one long long time ago. prepare for massive painting, even the lil Gundam figure will need painting and gluing too if I remember right. After my doctors appoint today I stopped by the hobby store closest to the hospital and picked up Destiny Gundam. I know I know, ick, GSD, it's not my favorite either. But for 32 dollars? That's not a bad deal at all.
