Nah you can't bring up Alan Rickman cause he doesn't play Bad Guys, only interesting people.

Agreed, lots of lil parts for those color details and such, but I still liked the kit a lot and wish I could find mine but it's still in storage. In the mean time these came today. And the Zeta Plus came with a randomly packed Gunpla accessory that seems to be just melee weapons with a small petite mobile suit. But dear god do I have some seriously awesome kits to build!

The Unlicensed Third Party Transformers Thread

lol what episodes were you watching? Season 1 finale' Heavy Metal Wars the Dinobots masacared the Constucticons. In fact I believe Megatron was terrified of the Dinobots everytime he had to face them he had to resort to insults only to get his ass handed to him by Grimlock (2 part atlantica episodes are a good example of that) I hate the idea of a Dinobots gestalt, it's completely un-neccessary in every way shape and form. If the Dinobots had simple brains, and even the most intellectual transformers turning into a gestalt body became stupid and slow what in the world do you think would happen to the Dinobots? Oh wait.....now that I think about it Grimlock fixed that with the Technobots, the only Gestalt unit to be smart and devestating. ....Simple Brains.- 9240 replies

it's nice to know that buying all those damn kits at the hobbytown near work has paid off as they got some new stuff in stock, looked like someone even bought the RG Full Burn GP01 cause they restocked with BF Dark Exia, HGUC GP03, GP02 and Zeta Gundam. Since I had a $5 off coupon on me I picked up the Zeta and working on that right now. It's gonna be fun comparing it to the new HGUC Zeta Plus when it arrives...maybe this weekend!

So I see Headrobots still around and they're releasing a scorponok upgrade for the Botcon 2014 edition....but what I'm curious over is if it'll work for any of the scorponok models that've existed since Energon?- 9240 replies

I think the news has been passed around...I took advantage of it. I ordered the new Zeta Plus from HLJ with the campaign offer....been waiting for a week for this thing to ship. I went to the long long far off hobby store and they had jack...just wing kits that have been there forever. I went to TFAW instead sometimes you can find neat stuff. I picked up a HGUC F91 and RX-78-4 MG....they also had a Mega Grade RX-78-2 which meh I've already built that not much I can do to it besides turn it into a 1 or a 3. A few AGE kits which I quickly wanted to throw into their dumpster....not big on AGE. All in all, 2 kits, walked out spending just a lil over 50 bucks. I'd say that's a good haul!

Aliens: Colonial Marines morphs into Isolation
Hikuro replied to Dobber's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Would maybe buy the 360 version since that was slightly tolertable when I had rented it since it's 10 bucks. Although I'm still meh. Now that I've been reading more and more on Isolation I'm beginning to step back and go "Wait...I thought they said the game was gonna be different each time you die the alien is not in the same location as before?" apparently that's not entirely so...and now I'm seeing more in game graphics and it's looking even less appealing to me.- 216 replies

I think some of reasons lately with kits being sold out is well... 1) Bandai engineering team come up with some great designs. 2) they're releasing popular mecha or have really nest gimmick ideas. 3) version ka kits usually are packed full of detail and articulation with an extensive decal set to put on, but even without the decals the model comes out very nice. Last 5 months I've seen everything from RG Exia, to the latest build fighter kits being sold out within about a week to a month. And the prices are pretty low compared to what the market price adjustment will be state side. I paid 125 for my sazabi version MA when it was about 95 online but sold out. I just happened to stumble upon it at a hobby shop. I waited over a year before I even got the nu Gundam version MA as a Xmas present from my now ex....soooo kinda don't like that one I built....

had a couple of minutes so I tried my real touch white marker and used my PG since that's what I'mw orking on now, kinda sorta. It did the shoulder area decently on areas that WERE panel lines, things that are kind of like vent grooves, not so much. But wasn't bad! just had a hard time cleaning up the excess amount.

Battlroid brace isn't that bad...you can hardly see it. I did notice this one little swing joint at the under body when you got into gerwalk and you can swing that to the waist piece and hold it there on the edge and BAM! No floppy floppy.

I did a lot of paint work on mine to get it looking just right.lots of white, black, little red and yellow. But dammit mine is now accurate as the box itself!

YOu'll be finished before you even know it...think at my leisure it really only took 3 days and being REALLY impressed with how it looked, but I also built 2 of those mama jamas and liked it more without the stickers, which is why I also didn't sticker the Banshee. I finished the base build of the Miss Sazabi I guess what I irked up on was the shield not the skirt armor, I went "DOH!" when I realized that cause well, those parts were originally skirt parts I think. All in all I dunno how you can put on a different backpack on this thing...the pack connector or peg is on the waist piece of the model, and there are no slots on the back. I also kinda feel meh about the kit over all, my friend Jessie loves it, she thinks it looks great and it's massive compared to my Hi-Nu Hikuro Custom. In other news, I took advantage of HLJ's Gunpla give away...if you don't know, HLJ along with a lot of other retailers in Japan are giving away a random weapon set when you buy a HG 1/144. And after I got confirmation that their HGUC Zeta Plus has had it's defective parts replaced I ordered one. So right now I'm waiting on Nu Gundam, Sazabi and Zelta Plus for HG kits....and gotta sit patiently until Hi-Nu Ver Ka is released this month. I still gotta build my PG Wing Zero....but honestly, when I think of the wiring on that thing I just lose interest.

The first 30....what? Dude there's even things Yamato/Arcadia didn't get right, like broken shoulders, or being so cheap on the plastic quality it yellowed. Those are things that potentially ruin a figure's appearance and resell value. A floppy joint or to tight of one, or having to use a brace are not that big of a deal and isn't distracting in my opinion.

after playing around with it, this sucker will most certainly be staying in fighter mode, it's just so gorgeous and sleek looking and the engineering on keeping those robot parts hidden is just GENIUS! BUT, I'm not a fan of the Battroid mode and using that damn brace, it's not distracting or anything it's just, you lose that part and bam, she's a floppy mess of a bird.....floppy bird? Transformation though is really just as simple yet more interesting than the VF-25, and much less complex than the VF-171. Really, I enjoy the overall look and feel and how sleek and slim the fighter mode is. Just so well done.

FedEx called me around noon saying they couldn't find my address and since it has to be signed they asked if I'd like to pick it up after 5. Said hell yes! Course tight schedule as I got a puppy vet visit at 6. So I drive over from work and low and behold it wasn't there and the driver was still in my city and would be back after 6. Got a little pissed this always seems to happen with FedEx. My appointment ended early so I went back and now the puppy is sniffing it.

Did a little research on my tracking number. I will most likely not see it as it requires an indirect signature and since I don't know my neighbors nor did they even speak English so no one can sign and vouch for it. They'll just leave a door tag saying what I can do and wait till tomorrow which is a damn shame.
-
Sadly can't do that till they make an attempt.

Ill give some of these suggestions a try.first with the real touch. MG unicorn is not hard at all it just looks intimidating. Test the parts first so you got an idea on its transformation.my suggestion is to glue some of the pieces together like the small panels on the arm that will hold the shield are very loose. Also the crotch region can have an issue of flying off the clear part while prying outward. Paint the V fin don't sticker if. And skip the stickers, they're distracting and difficult to place correctly cause some of them you have to transform to NTD others unicorn to apply.

Okay question, I've been seeing it more and more, people using some kind of a silver liner on black and blue parts yet Bandai never made a silver sharpie. What gives?

Mines in portland, that's neat, it's gone from Memphis to Portland all in 1 day. I doubt I will see it tomorrow cause it still has to go Tualatin then it has to go all the way to Woodburn, and even if it did get here, it has to be signed I heavily doubt Fedex will just drop it off on my front door step. If they did I'll be shocked...it use to be easier when I didn't have a fenced yard. UPS and Fedex use to just go around the back of my house and drop stuff on my back patio door...but now I'm fenced and locked up and burglar alarmed up the ass pipe. I'll most likely have to call them after work tomorrow if they make an attempt and tell them to deliver it to my front door.

yep, screwed the pooch on my miss sazabi. Gonna get some nail polish remover tomorrow after work.

not my weekend for gunpla. think I ruined the Miss Sazabi's paint job pretty badly...I'll find out tomorrow morning. I finished my HGUC 1/144 FA Unicorn too, and I don't really like it. I spent to much time trying to add in paint and detailing and I broke a shield that needed to connect to a gatling beam gun cause a shield bit popped off and couldn't get it back on without removing the shield from the gun.....crap crap crap crap crap. Sigh. Eh, I'll just put it in the back with the ones I don't like lol. But I think I'm pretty much done with building anymore Unicorn Gundam kits.
