  1. they've shown they have plans to do an EW line up, doesn't mean they're doing one then jump to something different. takes a good while create these. give it time.
  2. okay, I think I just finally crawled out from a rock and now going "WHAT YEAR IS IT?!" how'd I miss this chance?
  3. with their print quality of water slide decals I disagree. unless you want to matte spray every white piece then go for it. their decals do not stick for long period of time. my hi nu is a great example. the moment you finish a portion even if you use microsol you gotta go spray a coat of matte or gloss to seal it. I lost maybe 12 decals cause I'd wait. I also studied the way the led system is laid out and it kinda looks like the clear parts will be interchangeable from the stock version coming with the model to the LED having another type. if that's te case it's not unreasonable to assume a green variant web exclusive could come to light.
  4. usually sticky yeah. unless you're doing wing zero then there's.....ZERO print. I'm still worried there's a wired switch you have to build on the unicorn in order to flip them all on at once.
  5. ok now that seems better even if it's a 3d render, at least we know now there will be markings for it. God please not water slide decals. and since its out 12/13, that means I get to work on it during my 2 week vacation!!
  6. so thought just came to mind, I haven't gotten a phone call or anything from Blue Fin in 2 weeks since they said I'd be contacted via phone. Maybe they're gonna just send the parts I needed anyways cause if I don't see anything by new years I'm just gonna trash the kit which will be a bummer after all the work I put into it. I just finished my Sandrock Gundam ver ka and I really liked how it looks....I wish it came with it's cloak that'd of been very cool as the upper shoulder armor has a slide mechanism for that kind of thing. This leaves me now with only 2 kits left....RG RX-78-2 and RG Gundam MK II. I really don't wanna work on them until my vacation next wek.
  7. I'm wondering why this line was crossed lol. I mean that's totally awesome and realistic looking and I'm sure very accurate to the area being depicted but damn, I wouldn't cross this line of nerdism in modeling.
  8. I just read the entertainment weekly article here in my car. still scratching my head on a few things like Matt smith being in this movie for starters. next is this whole Sarah is orphaned and raised by a semi domesticated looking Arnold according to the photo of him wearing a hoodie like leather jacket and carrying a shot gun. Emilia Clarke looks way to young to be Courtney. even though this is a soft reboot they're still saying terminator and judgement day still happened and are still cannon. I DO like the new resistance uniforms and body armor, it's much better than what we got in salvation. but same time they've made tweaks to the t800 frame I'm not to thrilled with. yet I'm curious over this man machine terminator. maybe we're getting the i950?
  9. looks like a pain in the ass to me.
  10. if you're just keeping it at the base grey level that's not hard. I"d go with AS7, AS18, or AS26.
  11. Well there's a lot going on in the station and ppl are going to not trust you cause you're a stranger, you know to much so the joes wanna kill you, and you CAN have the alien kill others as a mean of distraction so you can get passed certain obstacles...cause let's face it, if you ain't first your last.
  12. I'm wondering with all these "transformers are dangerous" posters, why hasn't anyone spoofed it with an old g1 rocket launcher toy to a kids eye? I had a couple close calls as a kid lol. just get g2 Optimus there with his twin cannons and BLAM!
  13. I can believe it, to me, that is trying to hard. Cool, you can model, scratch build but how's it gunpla?
  14. Can't sit still or move the plot along. We've spent 4 episodes now haven't we where Bellri is a prisoner and keeps saying we're gonna escape and NOTHING happens. Suit designs kind of miff me as well like I said about my thoughts on the G Self model kit. There's just things that try hard to be a Turn A copy cat, suit designs and the G Self.....it....self. Not too mention I'm kind bugged about some asthetics of mobile suit technology. It's over a thousand years since the end of the Universal Century. But UC 150 something we're seeing Beam shielding coming into play and less and less of the generic metal shield. Really apparent in Victory Gundam. Even the Turn A had the ability to use its beam sabers as shields by rotating at high speeds. We got a glimpse of that in i think it was episode 5. But overall the G Self and many other mobile suits don't use a reflective Beam shield OR a shield period. So over the course of a thousand some odd years, the ONLY new real mobile suit technology or perk is you don't have to wear depends and just crap in your pilot seat? .....That kinda seems backwards to me.
  15. Here's the photo of the G-self. Flight pack is very similar to me from the Aile Strike but very simplistic. Instead of the wings folding down these fold back. Lots of panel lining detail going on and a nice black gundam marker does a very nice job. Mobility is what you'd expect of recent HG kits, shoulders can pull inward towards the chest thanks to the polycaps. Torso has some bending ability but not much. The head is bulbous and in a way kind of cute and distracting of a design. I mean it works for the overall look but it just doesn't say Gundam to me....more like a Gundam rip off, was never really big on the look....kinda almost seems a bit to Turn Aish. There's a lot of stickers, around 30, and some of them are covered up by deep blue translucent pieces which lowers the overall affect the stickers give. But in no way are these stickers hard to apply or annoying in any way. I do think the giant sticker on the forehead is worthless as there's a red piece in the center....a single black sticker to fit over t hat would of been fine, not a red and black printed sticker going OVER an existing red piece it's designed from. A fair amount of painting. Off the top of my head the vulcans, and shoulders require the most paint, added detail in the vernier rockets on the back legs and of course on the flight pack itself and honestly, the shoulders could of had stickers as well, not left completely blue molded, that's a waste of detail that should of. Surprised by this as well, there was no stand for this unlike MANY HG's I build that have flight modes or packs, this had none. I had a spare laying around so I used that. For the price which I think I paid 19 dollars, it's not bad. You can easily complete this in 2 hours without all the painting and detailing. It's a cute design but there are things that kind of bug me about this anime and I mostly built this out of curiosity. I don't think I'd buy any others from the series.
  16. Decent detail and average mobility you'd expect to see in a HG. Biggest downsides are tricky painting of the shoulder verniers and the 30 some odd stickers that have to be placed which some of those sticker details get lost in the deep blue translucent parts. I'll see if I can take a few shots when I'm done with lunch and chilled out a bit. Busy weekend.
  17. okay sent out the request this morning now I gotta wait a while for them to call me back. In the mean time I finished 90% of the figure (Just that one damn wing is all I gotta do!) and G-Self. And while I was building the G-Self I made a mistake so when I tried to fix it with my hobby knife the blade went right into the side of my index finger and I bled EVERYWHERE! I think the G doesn't mean Gundam it means Gore, Gore Yourself!
  18. It's on a pressure point where you snap G1 into F17 so you can open or close it. Thus you can't open or close it cause it snapped right off. I checked the box and it does have the Blue Fin logo on there so I'll finish building the kit first before I email them for a total parts replacement count. I may as well get a replacement part for the stressed back right skirt as well. Thanks for the info.
  19. I did the exact same thing, but mine broke.
  20. I finally found the missing face plate piece for my Strike Gundam. Then as I was continuing the build, I broke a wing frame piece that's chrome plated. Model is officially trash. To many problems with mine.
