I'm sure the two are the same. If I remember right Professor Zoom thought at one point he was the original flash....but I also remember it was the suit that gave him his super speed not the same type of chemical accident that did it to barry. I dunno. I liked the crossover but the only thing that bugged me was there was no fight to get Prism, it was just commerical break and then he's in the prison.

Terminator 5/Terminator: Genisys, opening July 1, 2015
Hikuro replied to areaseven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
hey I actually did remember a complaint I had! When the DVD remaster came out of T1, they completely changed the audio track for the 5.1 stereo. Everything sounds horrible now and tends to ruin the film for me. sound makes everything, not just visuals.- 508 replies

Terminator 5/Terminator: Genisys, opening July 1, 2015

hm. guess I'm the only real terminator fan. while I didn't really like 3 and 4 I still watch them. heck when I did see that ending to 3 in theaters I went "whhhhhaaaaaaa? YES!" cause I wanted a future war. I got my future war but it wasn't as cool as I'd expected it to be. but there's been a ton more in other media formats to keep me happy for years.- 508 replies

Last weekend I picked up the Delta Kai Gundam kit cause I was facinated with it. Opened it up today and I was looking it over and WTF? almost 50 stickers! They don't even look like they would completely cover the applied area needed without later starting to wear and peel. Some of these are just so stupid of an area too where it could of been a part instead or just designed a little differently to make it work. I guess this gives me an excuse to do a new custom Gunpla Battle kit!

Yahoo Japan auctions,Toys, shipping and ordering questions
Hikuro replied to frankell05's topic in Toys
i'm not sure if this place still exists, I get emails from them time to time. Shopping Mall Japan was who I used way back when I heard about Yahoo Japan Aucitioning. They act as the middle man. You create an account with them and send them money, they convert it into Yen. You find the item you want using their website and you enter a bid based on the amount of money you put into your account. Once you win it'll get sent to their warehouse where you tell them to ship it or store it. The downsides from what I remember were fees they hit you with later on and shipping charges and taxes. It wasn't a lot or anything like that but you had a certain amount of time like 2 weeks to pay up or they keep the item and your money. I never had a problem with them and things worked out pretty well for me, I did get some really neat items, but I also got ripped off by some Japanese sellers and of course you can't communicate with them. -
I liked the old GBA game to say the least.....that was about it. I'm off tomorrow from work for some reason or another. thinking after work I'll check out this tactics BS and think about it. never been big on strategy games or reading a big book, I'm a visual learner so I have to see how it works rule by rule to actually understand it.

Didn't that happen already? Or am I just thinking they released a Freeium cell phone game?

hmmmm yeah noticeable gap on the horn. kind of a let down there, there's just no way to make that perfect seal. guess I'll find out Friday if I can afford this kit or not in the end.

Huh, I just got a call from Hobbytown saying "Hi, this is hobby town. Don't know if you remember this but you ordered the Robotech Tactics RPG a year ago. Well we just got a stock of it in." "..........mmmmk." "Well, that was a year ago!" and hung up. I dunno if I'd wanna have that when I have no friends to play with. Maybe guess for collector purposes?

Guardians of the Galaxy, on DVD/Blu-Ray December 9, 2014
Hikuro replied to azrael's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
watched it last night after so long of a wait and man I just didn't feel it half the time. some funny parts, got a good chuckle, but so did Wesley snipes tax evasion joke from expendables 3. maybe I just hoped for a little more from gotg, maybe wanted a little more substance from Karen Gillian, I dunno, just, it was dull.- 344 replies

So when do we start the count down until our wallets go "......aw F&ck.....my opening hurts."? I'm still on the fence, I like the design, but the LED wiring still irks me off. I'm almost done with my MG Star Build Strike. I like how solid the mobile suit is by itself, I mean just solid. I don't feel like I'm gonna have parts popping off or joints being way to tight, it's just a good solid looking kit. I'm building the Universe Booster and THAT doesn't feel the same way. I had to do additional Paint to the canopy to get the frame the right color, and there's a lot of awkward looking panel line detail to do. I think what's going to scare me the most is the weapons...it's just a lot of the going back and forth between two instruction sheets.

Gundam Build Fighters/Build Fighters Try
Hikuro replied to VF-15 Banshee's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
hopefully the first of many to return. I'm waiting for team G-Master to punish the Build Burning and then Seki meets Iori and maybe tells him a little back story that Burning was designed to be used by Reiji if he ever returned.- 971 replies

Good straight build, now get those suckers lined I didn't think V2 was really all that hard to even paint, it was pretty easy for me but I guess it's cause I'm so use to painting 1/144's. But That stuff was NOTHING compared to all the detail I had to add just on a MG Double Zeta. Now the F91 that's a different story cause a lot of that is missing paint. Shoulder thrusters, front skirt, ankle bits have both yellow outline and gray inside! Holy crap was that hard! and the bazooka!!!

started building my build strike. I really dig this model kit and what you can do. it's given me some really good ideas on custom HG kits even though I'm working in a MG. for instance you can mix other equipment like the Gundam X's satellite cannon, Wing Zeros pack or something I'm just saying this is pretty neat!

that's just so trippy. FIRST PLACE!

That's it, after 24 hours of work, I finished. I can see why the Double Zeta is ranked as just one of the worst MG's out there. You can't really do anything with it. Sure the bulky size is great, it's got a nice anime feel to it. It's very sturdy too which is odd cause I heard it's pretty floppity floppy. Any issues I did encounter like the MS canopy armor hatch always was coming off so I glued it. And one of t he thrusters kept falling off one of the calves so that got glued. Other than that, I wish it had more stickers.....hell I wish there was an updated version! But painting techniques I was discussing.....okay, if you get a very fine brussle brush at a hobby store, a pack of them runs like 3 bucks, and some dark sea grey from tamiya...just get a good amount on your brush and just dabble, don't spread just dabble anywhere that should have grey in the thruster vents. So everything you see that's grey was repainted except for the side center yellow areas of the torso, those were parts. Everything else was hand painted. All blue armor parts with panel lines got white paint. luckily there weren't a lot of panel lines so it all came out looking very nice.

Well something unrelated to unicorn I was out a lot yesterday....found some very interesting kits! for 48.99 a pop I managed to score Crossbone Full Cloth, Build Strike and.................Double Zeta Gundam. Now Build Strike didn't surprise me for being there, but Crossbone and Double Zeta Gundam? Had to get 'em. Even got the Universe Booster on order arrives tomorrow. So a friend of mine is a Double Zeta fan, she likes how big and chunky it is (......hah) so I've been dedicating the model to her. I forgot that when you're doing with a 15 year old kit, you have a tendency to wanting to paint so many little bits on there. So a big chunk of the ZZ is painted. And I'm adding some of the techniques I've learned from some of you guys into the build. But I also created some new paint techniques that really made the model pop and I'll show you guys when it's all finished. Even though the ZZ has issues, I'm enjoying the kit actually a lot more than I did with the Zeta Gundam, kinda shocking to me.

The Unlicensed Third Party Transformers Thread

Back in the summer with the YF-30 came out I was doing a route with a co worker to our parent store to drop off stuff. I got a call from FEDEX saying they couldn't find my address. I told them it's not a big deal, it's a new home I just moved into and the neighborhood is kind of new, maybe not even a year old. I asked if they could just redirect it to my office and deliver it that day cause the FEDEX facility and my office are a lot closer than there to my home. Shockingly I got yes but they called 5 minutes later and said no cause the driver had the package and was in woodburn. I gave them directions on how to get there since that was the case. I later got a notification saying "Package undeliverable, no such address existing. Please contact FEDEX Customer Support." that was like 2 hours after I talked to them. So I called again, they said he did get the directions but still couldn't find it. Really? Wow....interesting. I told them to just hold on to it, I work close by I'll just pick it up before I took my dog to his doctors appointment and confirmed to me that the package would be there at 5. 5 rolls by, I take off, got there 5:15 and sure enough they dicked up. Told me the driver was still on his routes, wouldn't be back until 6:30 which by then they'd be closed. I explained that was unacceptable after going back and forth and guaranteed it'd show up and how I paid a LOT of money on the shipping and not getting the service I paid for. Eventually I did get the package, it was a pain in the ass. 3 weeks later I got an invoice from Fedex for taxes and duties. Called them up, told 'em I took their invoice and wiped my ass with it and told 'em to eat it. Never got a second invoice after that!- 9240 replies

Yeah.....I noticed this too. I'm now kind of contemplating if I want to cancel my order. I understand the trickiness of having something like the Unicorn light up it's clear parts...but this is a rather large expensive turn off for me now.

I do everything I can before applying just like others. I've had no issues with other waterslides from different model kit makers. Bandai ones I've experienced crumbling, tearing, or just over next 15 minutes fall right off cause they didn't want to adhere. I'm usually VERY careful when it comes to the water slides cause I like to make sure I place them exactly where I want before I seal them. I still gotta do Sazabi Ka which has been sitting around for nearly a year now only half decaled cause it was so time consuming and tedious for me.

well if after it's return to TFSource make sure you're given a refund. I have constant fights with Fedex cause I always get a cal saying they can't find my address. I try to avoid using them so when I do use TFsource I go postal.- 9240 replies

so my initial theory was correct that you get all new frame parts from the LED kit. as for the FA, if you really wanna call it that.....I'll pass on that due to lack of imagination on the design AND size restriction. I didn't even have room to put the FA version in 1/144 on my cabinet lol don't think a PG will do any better!! I also just built Build Burning gundam. shoulders pop out super easy, but the action posing is pretty well balanced overall. it just seriously lacks anything fun, it's so simple and stream lined that even doing additional work on it took me 2 hours to build.

Unless you REALLY wanna bang it up a notch you don't need to paint. But lately Bandai has been doing water slide decals on certain kits, mainly Ver Ka's to give it a more realistic look. But their water slide decal material is bunk as far as I'm concerned and require Matte Spray after you apply a section. And when I say section I mean like left arm, right arm, left leg, right leg, waist, torso, pack, accessories. If you wait, they have the chance of falling literally off the plastic. You CAN paint the kit though if you really wanted too. Though PG's generally don't need it. Unless you wanna enhance the look of the inner frame or something then shoot that's probably a lot of painting.
