Well, I bit the bullet and I bought the SS86 Bumblebee when i said I wouldn't. Had a thought that I'd like something G2-esque and the figure is different enough and cheap enough to use. So I picked one up at a local walmart, rubbed the G1 logo off of it with some IPA and slapped one of my many Autobot G2 logos on him. Now, I could just tear him apart and give him a chrome gold like finish, but naaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh. I am tempted though on getting the .01 cent decals from Toyhax but I dunno what other sticker sheets I might want right now.- 16945 replies

I mean his unhinged persona was due to the plasma baths he crashed into after the movie. And lets not forget that Rodimus's voice actor changed 3 times including themovie with the final version not sounding like Judd Nelson at all, or Jack Angel not sounding like Robert Stacks. Welker for the voice, it didn't bother me at all....I didn't even see the TFers movie until after Season 3 had finished airing, my folks didn't take me to the movies much at all at that age. I knew it existed, saw the ads on TV and such and I remember my mom yelling at me to come home cause the movie was on TV but missed the first 5 minutes.

Well, the music was kinda nice. Animation style I don't have a problem with since it's going back to the more traditional sense versus what neflix usually does being CG toon-shade BS. The inside look I kinda scratched my head on when they talked about weapons....it's 2022, you'd almost think both the resistance and skynet forces would be using plasma weapons or early stages of it maybe....not a freaking handgun with a digital ammo counter. Also, not sure how we get T-800's in 2022 since they were new in original Terminator, I would had suspected by 2026 or 2027 those were running off the line....not 7 years prior. I dunno maybe I'm reading into the lore to hard core and I should just enjoy it for what it is, something different for Terminator content that isn't Salvation, Genesys or Dark Fate.

A lot of the reason for this is budget, not because professional VA's get paid more, but because then the studios will throw more money for development and marketing. I agree though, I would rather see an animated film with a good voice over cast, but statistically in hollywood for animated films, they do better with big names versus someone people don't see.

could be wrong but off the top of my head I see Tigertracks, Arcee, Ironhide, Sideswipe, Redalert, and I think Brawn. And yaknow what, that music was reminding me of Beast Machines.

The Alien/Predator/Aliens vs. Predator Thread
Hikuro replied to VT 1010's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
In a number of the novels, WY really doesn't care about safety of its employees on black budget projects. I mean one of the stories had a lab trying to prolong or cure the incubation time after impregnation and the lab was on a planetoid tearing itself apart. And then another lab on a space station that was so close to a sun that if anything got out to the wrong side of the station would be cooked in seconds and used that as a means of destroying Xeno's by opening up the viewing windows of their cages. Both those labs were totally destroyed by the end of the novels, well actually the planetoid one was mid way thru, but still. Point is, Weyland Yutani goes cheap infact the majority of the Alien universe is setup that it's all about cost cutting and profit hoarding right down to independent contractors. But if ya gotta nitpick a basic alien universe story calling it a plot hole when it's how a number of films go, then lets see you write something? -

I saw it last night, I'll probably see it again. I'd probably rank it closely with Alien, but still enjoy Aliens way more. -

My local walmart has several Transformers One studio series Optimus Primes......along with the DLX variant. Almost picked one up but then sort of shied away. I'm not really all that sold on this film and why I need ANOTHER Orion Pax/Pre Earth Optimus Prime.- 16945 replies

It's an interesting peak, and I like that it somewhat pays homage to the old T2 factory teaser trailer from 1990. But, we've been lured by snazzy visuals and designs in the past and gotten a spoon full of dog crap. So until I see this thing for myself I'm just gonna be hopeful it's gonna be good.

The Alien/Predator/Aliens vs. Predator Thread

I got the xeno popcorn head and a drink cup today from the local Cinemark....bought a set for a friend too. But we had to postpone going to the movie tomorrow night due to us having Managers training on Saturday morning. neither of us were to thrilled when it got mentioned to us last minute, so good thing I didn't buy tickets yet. -

agreed, its even been said that AVP and Requim have no baring on the ALIEN canon. Some fan had a glorified fit when a number of us explained why those two films in particular don't count, we sort of reached a compromise that it's the Predator universe, but the Alien universe is separate so there ya go. ALIEN they're weapons of technology, Predator they're prey used for breeding. So RT has given it a score of 81% right now for pre-opening night, IGN has given it an 8/10. Rolling stone says, I'm not to sure how that's pandering the film, but he rated it as suckage. Times in UK I'm looing forward to it truthfully....what I want is one of those buckets though. The facehugger jar has got my attention cause I"d like to see if I can put some liquid in there and a mini printed facehugger of my own. Might not be a great idea but considering people are gonna slobber liquid bleeping butter on theirs, why not? -

just me, but I don't know a single professional movie critic anymore, I stopped caring about long after siskel and ebert....................and Jay Sherman! To many modern day "professional" movie critics have a tendency to spout political agenda and crap. I go off of the audience way more than anything. -

I've seen some, it's out there, just not from the regular well known instagram people yet. One person I watched this morning was a 2 minute straight out of the theater quick review and said it was good, border-lining with ALIENS. Utilizing sound and lack there of with the environments to help bring some scariness to the mix. Ridley Scott saw a rough cut of the film and gave notes Alverez one of them was about the length of the film. Here's some fun behind the scenes stuff that I caught today in my feeds that made me go "Oh cool, this is fairly neat looking." It looks like they're really putting in some care and attention to detail to making it a good film. I'm really crossing my fingers for this one. I don't expect it to be say 90%+ on RT, I'll be happy if it's between 78-80%+ from the critic scores....and I'll be super thrilled if it's in the 80's-90's from the viewership cause THAT is where it really matters. -
which I've never watched, probably will never either. I'm not really into Pixar films, I've maybe watched 20% of their catalogue of films. Off the top of my head, Toy Story, Toy Story 3, Wall-E, Incredibles 1 & 2, think that might be it.

It's all about the $$$$ and the story, if the story is decent but the $$$$ is good, you'd be dumb not to do it. If the story is ass but the $$$$ is good, you do it and not care. If the story is awesome but the $$$$ is bad, you do it for the residuals.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu - In Theaters May 2026
Hikuro replied to sh9000's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
pretty much a convention related to disney projects and products to help entice the public and shareholders. They'll show off what's going to occur in the parks in the future, what's being worked on, movie plans, trailers etc etc.- 39 replies

I'm not paying $400+ for 32X titles like Chaotix or whatever. Some 32X titles are fairly cheap, but some others are incredibly expensive. Even Sega CD games are like "Woah are you kidding me?!". I went to a local game shop who had no idea what I was asking for being Sega CD power cable or the link cable for the 32X. But they had some Sega CD games for 200+ and I laughed going "pass on that." Ended up having to go on ebay again to get the link cable, a correct 8 pin version but that won't show up until I think next week. The Sega CD power cable arrives Friday. Bums me out, gotta wait the entire week just to play something. Thankfully I'm on vacation next week and can just binge stuff.

Got me Terminator........cause honestly everyone tells me the Sega CD version is the BEST port that came out and I got this sucker on the Genesis as well and it frustrates me. Also got Star Wars Rebel Assault, Lunar since the sequel is on my Saturn I won't bother with that, Wing Commander, def had to get Snatchers, Sonic CD, Earthworm Jim, and NBA Jam cause man I loved playing that. I also found a place online that sells reproduced 32X games and CD with all the trimmings. But man the 32X library they offer is almost nothing it's really small. Sort of bums me out! So I guess the only thing left is just the bridge cable between the 32X and the Genesis.

I was at a retro convention last weekend.......though it was very small, no where near as cool in comparison to what I used to go every year in Portland. I picked up a few things to my collection like a GBC, and Advanced and first Gen DS....lots of games. But I also got a Sega 32X and Sega CD Mark 2 that's being delivered to me tomorrow. However neither one of these units are coming with cables....partially why I got them so damn cheap. At least the CD is coming with 1 of the EMI plates. Trying to find appropriate cables for these two additions to go with my Genesis 2. WHen I look online everythings low rated cause the AV cable going from the Genesis to the 32X has 5v pins which can fry both units. I think I found AC Adapters for both CD and 32X, but do I need any cables for the Sega CD? Also......games.....I know there's not much title wise on the 32X since roughly only 40 games ever got made for it. But Sega CD has got quite a fair share and not sure what I should interest myself with.

From my understanding is they're still sticking with the Multiverse BS that's been going on since Spiderman. Some sources are saying he's still playing Tony Stark but he's a variant who becomes Dr. Doom versus being Victor Von Doom. Or they're gonna pull that stunt where actors become look-a-likes like Brandon Routh being both The Atom in the arrow-verse series and then Superman, like Johnny Blaze and Cap'n America. Though honestly, even I'm on burn out with marvel movies, it was fun seeing Deadpool & Wolverine, probably because it was so much less about the MCU you could get away from.

Wasn't bad, not as in your face as the original 2 films were though. From what I heard is that torn sleeveless barearms Jackman wolverine costume was apparently all CGI, not entirely sure why that is though.....But the cameo's in there were certainly a surprise to see.

I'm gonna go tomorrow morning, it's very difficult for me to find seats where I like to sit, sort of a Sheldon Cooper kind of thing. I don't like being surrounded by people and want optimal ability to use the bathroom if I need to.
