in the words of Christopher Lambert, "It's a can of magic". My friends and I in Liquid Anime did some asking around with Saban. Saban DOES own the rights but as the name of Teknoman. Apparently they didn't buy the series as a whole and only took the animation and a few names like Blue Earth and Space Knights than went and completly redid it. However they're not interested in giving up the liscenes of the series to LA but than again we're just ameatures who are only doing fan subs and dubs good ones too....better than that Teknoman crap. I'm not sure how that disc set is going to work considering there are 49 Japanese episodes and only 43 English episodes. But I do believe t hat the subs are gonna get a bit funky later on. For instance there will be a scene on 48, "Chiya! You and your brother killed Monsoon! You'll pay for that!" or "Oh no! The Tekka plants are attacking!" or "Because I'm Radam now brother, I can do what ever I feel, but becoming Radam I'm able to fight you!"......sorta screwy but I think it actually gets alot worse in translation, but I'm not sure ......I don't own the set nor do I plan too cause of my bad experinces with boots.

yo! Speaking of Tekkaman Blade guy to www.liquidanime.com and they so far have 1-38 fansubbed plus Twin Blood. Anyways, yes the second half was dubbed.....uuuuuuh sadly. Out of the 49 episodes in total for the series, 43 episodes were dubbed in, the only set making the total hack were 6 episodes worth of footage. In the final episode I think the last 2 episodes were edited together cutting out ALOT. I was so pissed off at Saban for doing this that I never wanna watch another saban done product ever again. However with strong determination and wanting to release a better dub, I began working on the series. I got a cast together for the first half of the series which the first episode should be out by next month. However, Twin Blood and lil clips here and there have been done and are waiting to be released by the supports, thankfully, Saban doesn't own the rights anymore And some more info which I forgot to add in, no american or domestic merchandise such as movies, dvd's, vhs, toys, sound tracks NOTHING was released while Saban owned the rights. They just enjoy putting crap on the air and than turn it away. Thus it sorta makes it a free world now don't it?

Man I remember that british "scientists" doing "tests" with the mini and it just looked SO fake....and STILL DOES I got to leave work early today cause of allergy problems, but I had to continue on my search.....I tried ToysRus, Clackamas Mall in 7 locations that could possibly have Transformers, Target and a hobby store, NOTHING. However ToysRus seems to have a crap load of Smokscreens, maybe 14 or 15? The rest of the aile was just Energon and even some G1 reissues, but 30 bucks?! Hell they even listed the Alternators as 25 bucks......it seems to me ToysRus wont stock it if they can't make it near or over 30 bucks.....Energon Unicron was 60 bucks while other stores has it between 30-49 bucks. Everywhere else either didn't stock 'em or just had Bluestreak or Sideswipe. So I went to my hobby shop, got a Gundam kit and called it a day ladedah!

Hasbro announced they shipped out Hound on the first of july.....yet all the local dealers have ZIP, hell not even silverstreak is around........just Smokescreen and Sideswipe...booooorrrrrring.

I enjoyed building my lil 1/100 Astray, but personally I wouldn't mind buying another one just to customize my own frame to something I'd call "my personal astray" a one of a kind However, the hands HAVE TO BE interchanged if you wanna use different equpiment just like the 1/144's. To fully use the sword feature you gotta switch the left and right hand in order to get authenticity of holding a sword. Than if you wanna use a beam rifle, beam saber or shield you gotta switch back to the casual looking hands. I hate that, personally I think sure the hand that grips the sheath fine have one of those. But everything else should be atleast of normal HG or MG standards....or atleast PG standards and have individual poseable fingers. The kit DOES have alot of pieces and a unique thing about the astray kit is that it is VEEEEERRRRRYYYY Poseable, I mean wildly more poseable than 90% of the Gundam kits out there. It'll do just about any pose you could think of and stand, not only that but the vernier pack can move around, it can be lowered, raised or slanted around, it's not just smacked dab on the back of the mobile suit, hell you can have it not there if you wanted too it's up to you. I think you can push the pack down to knee length and put the shield on the back....I can't remember. While it's a great kit......it DOES have flaws like it's size isn't that great to me, I think it might actually be a lil smaller, I haven't compared it to the other frames...but I think it's spendy for what you get on the kit...espically from the dealer listed in the pervious post. That's where I got mine but for 30 bucks....HK dealers have it for half the price, but than again you wont see it probably for a few weeks.

Uhhhh.........you know...... it didn't get nominated in the Academy Awards for best special effects, granted, it lost, but it got nominated. I don't recall seeing any other movie that got a nomination for best special effects that didn't get much money in the ticket offices. And if I remember right, I probably saw that movie 3 or 4 times during the first week it was out. Not only did I like it cause it had boobs and Michael Ironside, but because it was militaristic and killing giant bugs, I was into that poo when I was in Jr.High. Personally I loved the first movie watched it this week, hell I gotta go to hollywood and turn it in tonight before it's midnight lol. However, I HATED the second movie, I thought THAT raped the whole meaning and essence of Starship Troopers. not too mention they did admit they changed the story around, such as new or different characters and that they were gonna release the capsule troopers but they ran over budget and they thought it would just make the film look even MORE silly. But it did present alot of views that I didn't see such as it being a facist related film....or well....you know wha I mean....: / I didn't see that till now. was to young to really view it and I didn't start learning about WWII till Freshman year in HS, it was forbidden in Jr. High to start teaching that stuff.

I doubt the circut city here in oregon is doing something like that, they REALLY suck here. Few years ago they were having a sale on the old playstation models, got the consel, a free memory card and a demodisc for like 80 bucks, we went we picked it up but the lady said they don't have any memory cards or demo discs to give away and was unaware of this deal. We asked to see a manager and she replied with, "Well he's not here" So we went just paid for the playstation and we scanned in the advertisment, highlited all the lil words "GARUNTEED!" on it sent it over. We got a reply a few days later, went back, and it was the same chic again who was very apologetic and crap....we just told her to watch her tongue for now on and to find any manager and not just one. I don't trust Circut City ¬_¬ I just can't. Besides most of the games that are listed didn't catch my eye in the get go really.....gomen.

Vince, if you really wanna find out check out some of the old boards or past topics here, you'll find out that this is talked about ALOT by newbies and it gets hacked very quickly. People here just really don't care about it and Shoji Kawamori has stated on many occasions he just does not want to deal with it. The story between Hikaru, Misa and Minmay is done and wont be revisited ever again. He decided to leave that up to everyones opinion, could be dead, could be lost in space, who knows. But this type of topic gets sorely looked down upon cause it causes so much evil chatter. As for 27 episodes deal....actually I think they were going to go with ALOT more than the intended 36 episodes. But from what I've gathered some episodes were going to really blow, and the storyline would have gotten way to off balanced from what it was and less believable. I think they were going somewhere in the mid 40's or so, but like I said, storyline, and animation was not going to well. If you look at it, at times the second half of the show started getting a little strange looking and lost some of that lovely touch. But all in all, personally, I don't care what happened to them SDF-2, it's never going to be visited, what you see on Flashback 2012 is pretty much THAT. SDF-2 launches on 2012 from new Macross city, few years later they disappear, and it wasn't till a few years after they vanished it was publicly announced that the first colonization fleet had disappeared. You know what?! I'm getting really sick and tired of this limited edition crap. I really am! This is why I haven't bought a Macross product since winter because the ones I want always seem to be baught out and it makes me hella mad.

Maybe its just because 8 has better game play, but I'm having a really hard time with 1.....for some reason it's really hard to fight some of these damn robots....I think it's the controls.....wish I could change 'em....stupid fin gamecube!

You know wha I had that problem too! Also did you notice, I don't remember there being an extra button on the old NES controls to allow 3x the amount of ammo to be fired in the first game....yet, A button fires, B button jumps and Y button shoots 3 extra rounds....uuuuuhhhhhhh.........I remember when I use to play Top Gun on my NES, you had to do like some button mashing to fire missiles....and a few double taps of the joy pad to barrel roll which didn't do you really any good....but damn.... Now I remember playing a few of the old Megaman games when I was kid (mind you I was 4 at the time it came out.....and 6 when I got an NES, STILL in mint condition!) But I'm figuring out just how childishly EASY some of the levels are in the earlier games.....yet I'm so EASILY entertained......god damn nostaglia! However, though some nostaglia is good for you, I'm gonna say one thing I WISH they would had done....MEGAMAN 8 NEEDED JAPANESE OPTIONS GOD DAMNIT! AGH! I HATE I HATE I HATE MEGAMANS GIRLIE VOICE! You sorta tend to hear FAA traffic controlers and even pilots speak english, "RTB" or "Delta, Alpha, formation One" "Fox 2, Fox 2" Stuff like that....only in the really old old fighter pilot animes or movies in japan you never really heard stuff like that. "Enemy ship is approaching, course 387 mark 5" guess it's a way of vocally confirming something. I personally would tend to think, everyone in Macross is some nationality, look at Fokker and Claudia, they're american. Misa and Hikaru are japanese, Minmay is technically Chinese, Shammy and Vanessa are also American, Kim is either Japanese or Chinese, Max is european, Hayao is Japanese, Burno Global is Italian I believe, or he could still be Russian like his English dub counterpart...Bruno also works for Russian. I mean, it almost feels like a silly question to ask because in one sense, they all speak japanese.....simply because, the voice cast is japanese....but not all the characters are at all.......japanese? And than in another sense, ppl who watch it and perfer it in english, think they are all american, or of some foreign nation....mostly true.....some are american, and some are from somewhere else.....so what? Because it's a japanese animated related show, the voice cast is Japanese, but the characters though a number of them are japanese national based, some are of different countries. But because it's voice casted by Japanese, it's just spoken in that way because it's Japanese animated related. I think that pretty much clears it up.

I remmber when I was a kid I use to pretend I was starscream, and we had these clear boxes and I'd use those as Energon Cubes and would reinact one of the early episodes where they fight inside a power plant.

I also believe the GERWALKroid only made one appearance and that was when it got it's ass handed to it in a brown paper bag by a Zentran power armor, it didn't seem like a very affective machine since it could only due fighter and gerwalk mode....bleh poor tax payers.

I work over at a Nissan dealership in the parts department, friend of mine works there as detail lot attendant, we see so many nice looking cars every freaking day. The best two best ones we saw were a 2004 Nissan SE-R SpeV with Nismo parts, airintake valve, brake calipers, exhaust system, wheels, interior, six speed transmission, vented seats, it was alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll tricked out. Cost 18 grand for the car, very inexpensive in most cases. Infact, 2 weeks later the car came back for a rock chip protection package and the guy had already installed a new stereo system with a HUGE woofer in the trunk...it still looked good. It had also dark green tent, burnt sunset orange exterior it looked great. The other was a 2003 350Z Coupe, it had neon light underbody, I think it was purple, a Navigation system which also acted as a DVD player and the guy had connection for both Playstation 2 and Xbox in the back storage compartment....very nice...but the guy was trading it in for a 2004 350Z roadster...hah...wish I had tha tmuch money to blow away. And for the last few weeks we've been giving away 350Z Coupes to those who guessed ten songs being played during the hour on Z100.
