Agreed, he has a very unique human composure about himself making him very assertive in his decisions and a capable captain. But also serves as the world leader since he was the highest commanding officer left. next to that is bodolza, but manipulative and unforgiving. The guy I got playing him has a good sound for the role. Maybe Ill show off a soundbyte. We vfx'ed his voice so he sounds commanding and everywhere but still, just a head in a jar.

I'm gonna start posting up teasers and such here and on the first page for now on....so if anyone wants big viewable updates, c heck that out. I've got the Barscene up on youtube, it's missing 2 VA's and a gasp, but it's 95% done. I'll have the link up later.

Yes in the ADV production Mari Ijima was asked to repraise her role as Lynn Minmay. It's almost S.O.P. in dubbing now, it gives the episode a more of a dramatic or human tone which to me sometimes is a pain in the ass. This was really infamous when FUNImation did it for Dragonball Z with lots of sighs, groans, grunts, and they might not even actually be there in the Japanese tracks, it's just for the drama touch. But god all things aside that made me so freaking cringe. Again, matt greenfield is my mortal enemy when it comes to ADR Directing. It's also times like these when I wonder why I don't have a job in one of those companies when I can put out a better FAN dub then these jokers can with an official release.

You didn't kick it out of the box did you? I should of been a bit more specific in terms of Yamato's QC issues, but many of the products I've owned from them have somehow crapped out or got a lil flaw which can get annoying to look at. Loose legs, shoulders being snapped, Parts loosely put together and tend to fall out when out of the box, crooked skulls and gunpods, limp wrists. Hell, not even inspecting the product before putting it in the box....I'm sure some Garland fans remember me bitching about my missing handle bar and I wasn't the only one with this issue. I'm not saying a toy company should close their doors for making a defective product. Granted, 1 out of 100 could of had some sort of a flop production process and you got a few of those. I've had or still have toys that I would have to fix in order to keep them from going in the trash...for instance I had to fix my Titanium Megatron figure cause he kept falling down until this weekend when he took one final splat and now he's in the trash. No one wants him, no one cars about that version of him so meh, 15 dollars just went to some landfill. I almost did the same t hing to my VF-0 since it's had some flaws or broken parts, but I just sort of glue them or see what I can do to keep them from falling and work with it. I do wish bandai the bes tof luck with this toy seeing how all of us are going to be spending our paychecks to them for sometime with this toy line. But I do sort of miss the days when these things were actually made with some care.

I'll see what I can cook up tonight when I get home. He doesn't have much of an appearance in the start, like.......3 seconds , 1 line. It's the second half that will count as he's got numerous appearances then.

Greatly appreciative. The only thing I think I need is a Captain Global. The guy who was playing him since the start of the project years ago has vanished. I did myself over 90 lines for the film, Hikaru and some Zentradi. I also handed out script and video for the PS1/Saturn intro movies to get finished. If I get ONE more person later this week to finish his lines, I will have the infamous "HIKARU YOU DOLT! YOU DIDN'T BANG THE IDOL!" scene completed. So far that's coming out rather funny and much like the original.

No, no thin packs announced, might never will be. Old school anime doesn't sell well compared to the new age crap out there.

Doubtful since Bandai owns the rights for toy distribution and manufacturing. You can hope all you want, but unless something drastic occurs, Bandai will be making the toys. Besides, it's a nice change to see something other then Yamato doing Macross. granted they make a good detailed toy, but with their QC flaws I think getting worse with each toy it'll be nice to see how a toy company with such a large background handles things. I've owned many toys that are Bandai and I've never once had an issue with them unless it was user error. And these toys do look well made so far. A 1/60 though would go well with Yamato's existing and future lines so we can see just how different the ages have gone for Valkyrie technology.

There are three types of Male VA's I've come across over the many years I've done this, 1) The type that think they can act, and 2) The ones who can be don't do it and finally 3) the ones who do that you gotta keep using cause they're all you got. I'm VERY VERY VERY close on the sound mix for Zero episode 2...like if i wanted to push it, I could finish it probably tonight type of close. But I'll have to hold auditions for a few new roles and maybe think about redubbing Episode 1 to keep it consistant. I saw someone on youtube who was holding auditions for a Zero dub, to be honest, yet not to be rude, I kind of hope their project goes no where. It kind of makes me feel like I'm leaving some legacy behind to the Macross fandom by doing these and hopefully some day get some sort of a recognition for the hard work. In either case I do have some great news. Lionel, who plays Roy Fokker for Zero and DYRL has just completed his lines for the DYRL fandub. He did a phenomenal job, a lil off script at times but he did great. I'd like to congratulate him for putting up with my BS for the last few months since he's a busy man who's taken acting as a serious job and in the last 3 months has done 2 stage plays. I think everyone will like who I picked for Lynn Minmay as she's a professional Voice Actress just like the last one. Infact you guys can check her out for yourselves, she's a good friend and a looker to boot gotta love those cute VA girls. Cristina Vee's Youtube Page

I've never liked HLJ's service, it's always been slow for me in processing and shipping. Alot of packages I bought from them took 2 weeks to ship, and then if I did the slow shipping I wouldn't see it for 2 months. I've even recieved packages from them damaged, like not the box itself but the contents inside would be flawed even open not shrink wrapped box and complained, they said it was the last one they had and couldn't replace it. Last time I bought something was the UN Spacy wrist band and thought that was VERY over priced for what it was. I liked it, but paying so much for it was really a pain in the ass.

So, I've seen alot of Revoltech Macross figures on Yahoo auction, 20 bucks highest price I think. Are they REALLY worth it when you get thru all the comission fees and what not spending maybe almost 40 dollars just 1 of these? Am I going to enjoy this a hell of alot more then I would if it was a super poseable from *Gasp!* toynami?
-
She said she would try and stay as Ranka, she really loves the role. But she's not sure if she'd be actually willing to do long dialouge parts compared to singing. I do have a rather impressive clip coming up at some point....I'm sure people will enjoy it. I did send out stuff to my new cast members, the cast listing feels alot more complete now then it did sometime ago.

and eat 'em.

God I hope so.

Well just got notice that my Lynn Minmay figure was outbid.........so I'm pretty bummed. I did get notice for payment on my other CM figure, they want 21 dollars for comission and wire fees and shipping, I was like "WTF?!" that's alot, going from just a lil under 3 dollars too 21 and some change. What a rip.

Spaceless resonance lens The lens found in 2043. Spatial resonance phenomenon is caused by giving vibration of the specific wavelength. It's said that they enable communication of the next generation and spaceless sailing. taken from the OCN translation site......sometimes it works well, othertimes not so well. -
That's not too bad looking at all. if it was a decent enough looking Thundercats film, I'd see it, I'd even wear my thundercats T-shirt.

I told her that when we watched it together, she's a big alto fan. Course she's waiting for the time when he has to dress up as a girl. Ozma just seriously kicked so much ass, I was shocked. -

I creamed myself, more then I would around my girlfriend, if she finds out, she's gonna be soooooooooooo mad. I totally love this episode. -
I'm sorry, but alot of you are spoiled little brats if you're bitching about animation and comparing it to something else. Personally, I don't give a hoot if a scene looks particularly bad or awkward in it's shot, as long as it gets its point across on what it's trying to bring to me story wise, I'm happy. I've learned enough about anime to take in the good and the bad and accept it. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A PERFECTLY ANIMATED SERIES.

omigod I can't wait to get this, I don't care if it's 6 inches or 20, I'm gonna buy every last one of them.

If I'm reading CDJapan right, they're stating that the first print of the OST on their site is sold out? -
I would recommend getting the screw driver/tool with the swap discs, that'll make it easier to get the screws off the console so you can open up and mod the top. Just remember if you buy one of the newer model PS2's one of the screws is covered by a sticker which if taken off will void the warranty, so I strongly recommend to save money just buy a used or refurbished model.

I believe the Army and Factory are the fixed versions, but you can get the original fixed as well, Yamato USA will shell out the replacement parts for it.- 1056 replies
