I think of it as, if you were the savior of mankind, how would you take it? Knowing everything you do and take advantage of is meaningless and trivial, nothing interests you, why should it? it'll be gone, never come back, only a memory. In an older comic, one of my favorites, John still even as an old man had a hard time gripping with the reality, and even puts his gun to his head and almost pulls the trigger but he snappd out of it somehow, dunno what it was, can't remember. But in the end, he takes what soldiers are left and goes to skynets bunker deep in the mountains and destroys it, effectively shutting the machines down. Thats the kind of movie i'd like to see, something nitty gritty, dark, hopeless and violent in realism. maybe thats why I liked that last rambo movie so much lol.

noticed that as well. I'm playing Frontier now, I beat plus which to me was far to easy...I just about topped out tuning my 19 when I went to the final stage. I love the VF-25......that is just soooooo nice to take the controls of tha baby.
-
I've only unlocked 1 pilot and that's Max in M7's storyline which bums me out seeing how I'm at the final stage. I also unlocked the VF-22 and got a nice color choice with grey as the main and red trim, it actually looks pretty bad ass to me. Red's always been my color choice.

I got an email from Cristina today, she's still feeling very ill with no voice, but she really wants to continue and WANTS to finish this film.

Battlestar Galactica Discussion III
Hikuro replied to kaiotheforsaken's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
I just finally sat down and watched all 10 episodes of season4...................wtf? 0_o I was expecting a very different ending. -
It does seem rather odd and boring right now....maybe it'll pick up.
-
I just started playing M7....Basara is driving me nuts! Luckily I'm looking before I fire, atleast I'm kicking ass. I gotta admit, i was never impressed with the VF-17 until now.

wow that's pretty sweet. I'm playing SDF still and I'm at the part where Breetia hands you your heart on a silver platter before you know wtf just happened.
-
XD oh yeah god the blood trail, you screw your landing up on that one and you're pretty much toast. I was playing that game at one point from 8PM till 4 AM and got pissed off over that stage of the game cause I was running on empty and trying to keep my eyes focused.

I just got my copy in today, played SDF Macross for a few minutes. That camera angle is a bitch...so I diffenetly need to change it, along with the controls. They're simple to use really, but still a pain.

Bandai 1/60 DX VF-25 transformable toy thread
Hikuro replied to David Hingtgen's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Eh, funny to me how the front landing gear on the model kit is way to tall, and the one on the toy is way to short...........wish you could switch 'em with a bit of modding. -
Fly announced she's starting to feel better and is making some rounds on those she owes recordings too. No idea when my stuff will come up but I'm hoping very soon. Cristina I probably wont hear from for a while. But we've all got enough Macross goodies right now to keep us entertained until this film is ready to go.

Bandai 1/72 Scale Macross Frontier Plastic Models
Hikuro replied to Graham's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
And yet the economy is still crap! I got off my fatass and finished the landing gears so they're a tad more faithful and not just freakin grey looking. I'm starting to notice though the stickers are kind of peeling in a few spots, specifically at the tip where the folding area of the wings down to the hip kibble are.....that's going cause that area is touched alot cause the damn kibble wont light up properly....if it did it wouldn't do that. -
Bandai 1/72 Scale Macross Frontier Plastic Models
Hikuro replied to Graham's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
I messed around with the kit a bit more, taking closer looks, maybe parts could be wrongly placed or something to help close those gaps on the hip and shield in fighter mode. I guess if you just align the limbs right, and make sure the shoulder bits are leveled correctly, along with the arms as they tuck under the body, and the legs are tightly secured into the hip joints...you sort of close the gaps on the hip kibble and the shield to the body. HOWEVER I've seen that by doing so, you completely ruin the purpose of having the gunpod stowed under the belly. Then again, I thought the whole idea of having extra parts to keep t he damn thing in place was stupid to begin with. Although you really just need that back part if you're going to set it onto the ground. The first piece that goes onto the gunpod which acts as the important piece of the stand isn't going to go anywhere if you securely tighten the areas that I just typed above. It just wont fit securely onto the under belly and thus the gunpod really just wobbles. This is getting really annoying and I so wanna know what these modelers are doing to help close out those damn gaps. -
Dammit, my package slip came in, so I wont be picking up the game until maybe Saturday morning on my way to work.

Nooooo, I have doubts the online and dvd variations of the film will have that kind of a release schedule...although holiday releases are fine for that little stocking stuffer for the loved one in your home. when cristina and fly get well, I'll have them hammer it because they are holding up the production and I'm sure they would LOVE to stop getting pestering emails from me. DVD wise, I could have it after thanksgiving if I wanted to. I got a cover and label, I got 90% of the extras I want to put on, just need dvd cases, and lots of ink. This will be a limited run, I'll probably buy two blac and color ink cartidges, and when they start to look fade, that's it. So it will be a ultimate hardcore collection peace.

Bandai 1/72 Scale Macross Frontier Plastic Models
Hikuro replied to Graham's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
likewise, hinges are holding up just fine even the tail fits and main flaps on the wings are just doing peachy. I've transformed it about a dozen times to get use to it and to help stop looking at the instructions. -
Bandai 1/60 DX VF-25 transformable toy thread
Hikuro replied to David Hingtgen's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Here's my take, 2 sets of hands I can live with, 1 set with tabs for gunpod, the second set much like the 1/72's for holding the shield. God and PLEASE tell me they wont pull that same crap unless it actually fits. I've got this nice big gap between the body and the shield in fighter mode and it's just about as horrible as the gaps on the hips. There were always ways around the hands in the gundam kits, for instance there were alternate molds that were available so you could get poseable fingers for them, and later with a lil bit of cutting you could do the same with the latest releases i think starting from the OYW Gundam. That's just my take again, 2 sets, not 3, or 4, you tend to loose things easier that way. -

Hmmm it's a really hard call to make....I want it cause it'll be in scale with Yamato's releases...but I'm not keen on it's obessity appearance or hand change out...dunno why it really needs that which I thought was also lame about the model kit having 3 different styles of hands. But I want the character figures! -
I did get an email from Cristina, she's fallen pretty ill herself, I wont go into what she had but it's basically like a nasty as hell case of the flu. It's a bit tough of a decision yes, both of them have more than half their lines done and they've progressed this far that it would be a shame to get rid of either of them. Lots of thinking to do.

Bandai 1/72 Scale Macross Frontier Plastic Models
Hikuro replied to Graham's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Not really no, because there's no locking pegs or anything, there's nothing to really secure the legs in a proper height. I was kind of surprised there's locking pegs for the arms but they're practically worthless. -
alright, so some bad news.... 1) I've completely lost contact with Cristina, after her youtube account had been banned she hasn't replied to any of my emails after telling me she was very close to completion. 2) Fruitfly who is playing Claudia has become very ill and will be in the hospital for sometime.... I don't want to recast either of them seeing how they're very good at what they do : /but it's holding up production. What do you guys think? Recast? or just hold tight?

woot my patches came in! I'll grab some pics later, they're pretty niec looking.

Bandai 1/72 Scale Macross Frontier Plastic Models
Hikuro replied to Graham's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
I'm completely done with the VF-25 kit. I even grabbed my Bandai stand, tightened the screws and got it sitting there infront of me wobbling around as I type. I think bandai, with it's great modeling genius, could of made securing fits on the legs to the body, and certaintly helped in closing the gaps on the hips and arms and shield...this is certaintly not the best model kit they've produced, but it is indeed a good one. Well, I'm hoping they'll do a better job with the Ozma.
