Given a difference of 5 years between the initial VF-1J with TV Super Packs and the 30th anniversary reissue, the plastic formulation could've changed over time.

From google image search there's a black box of the red/white/blue GBP-1S in 1/48 scale. might just be a reissue though.

14000 yen without 8% japan sales tax. Hope that includes the armor/fast pack. i've never seen Mac II so nostalgia glasses won't help me get past a poorly designed toy, but maybe i'll get one anyway and pass it on if it doesn't float my boat.
