is there an exact release date for these yet? march is coming up soon! also, did yamato ever send out confirmations of orders placed? one funny thing, i got a letter in the mail from yamato this week. i thought it was a confirmation for the fast packs but instead it was an order form for just the helmets saying that its still not too late to purchase the helmets. so.....if anyone still wants one. heh. btw, did anyone from macrossworld order these helmets? there's got to be somebody. i wanna know!

So am I the only one that thinks they resemble 1/48 CF feet? just for the record, it was a hikaru vf-1j

there is a huge difference in seeing the vf-0 from a scan of a magazine and seeing the vf-0 in person. the detail on it is pretty damned nice, i would even say its more detailed than the 1/48. yamato definately knows what they are doing.

hey guys. thanks for the compliments. this custom was actually pretty simple but i dont think i will want to another one. at least not in my studio apartment. there's just not enough room. i had parts everywhere. although it looks black, the color i used is actually a dark blue and the sun wasnt really that bright when i took the pictures. the color that's seen in the magazine photos look more like a dark gray though. i kinda wish i was able to weather it a lot more but wasnt able to achieve that effect. even dark dark black didnt really show up that well against the blue. what can i do about this? also i didnt really mind the seam on the vf-1s head before too much but after i puttied it, i think it looks so much better w/o the seam. i also sanded out the 'made in china' on the wings which was bugging me. ill probably do a fast pack when i get back.

I took these pictures real quick with my camcorder before having to run to the airport to come home for the holidays. The picture quality isnt that good but my regular camera broke a few week ago. It's basically just a paint job of a roy vf-1s with some takatoys low-vis stickers. I tried to weather it a bit but it didnt come out. Although I think it will look so much better with fastpacks, i havent decied if I want to waste a set on my custom. My skill are pretty shabby compared to a lot of the other customs I see now. some people expressed interested in the helmet? i wonder how many. im interested but really still in the deciding stage. very tempting but damnn... decisions...which color, backpack, worth, is my wife gonna kill me? you guys notice that max jenius helmet is purple. i wonder if thats just a mistake. i swear ive seen the blue one before. anyways...thanks rob for going through all the trouble! me and my friends here all agree that the instructions on the application sucks! i wonder if they will send a confirmation once they get your application.

rob...wonderfests are held on sundays. work should be okay but rushing back for monday might be a problem. the next one is held on february 22nd to be exact. truth be told, im not even sure if i will be able to make it back for this one. i will probably be back home in the states then. hey jesse...stop making excuses and just come visit!
