  1. Another angle.
  2. ANYONE THINKING ABOUT CUSTOMIZING ALTERNATOR TRACKS, PLEASE READ! Hello all. Recently, I decided to customize my Alternator Tracks into the Commemorative Edition. After applying the decals on the car shell I decided to remove the red paint from the seats to make it more like the real Commemorative Edition car. After taking the seats out, I used a Q-tip dipped in paint thinner to remove the paint but after a minute or two the seats began to fall apart at the hinge? The bad part is the the hing is the only thing holding the roof of the car to the rest of its body. I have never dropped this item and I didn't use something as harsh as paint REMOVER but it still fell apart. ONCE AGAIN, EXERCISE EXTREME CAUTION WITH THE SEATS, BECAUSE THEY ARE VERY FRAGILE. RJ

LOL!!! This is not only a good candidate for custom of the year, but funniest thread of the year! Honestly, you guys broke the record for one-liners here, but they are just too damn funny. Sithlord- nice boobies newbie Nightbat- maybe we should nickname you "Bewbie" UN Spacy- Now THAT'S a titty. hirohawa- She's just hot from her last battle. No biggie. Vostok 7- Anyway, b00b... I mean, n00bie, you know what you doing. Make your time! VF-19- Once again, this proves that Millia has excellent boo....sters. Retracting Head Ter Ter- Think we can convince Shawn and Graham to use that pic for the MW titti.. erhm I mean title page? Newbie- but her boo.....sters... are.... magnificent .....can't stop Good custom Bewbie!!!
  4. Okay, now where did you hear this from? The reason I ask this is because every time I have heard a rumor that some toy mold was either destroyed or deteriorated, the toy seems to get reissued. Too much hear say!
  5. The HCM's are great toys as well. But I agree with the majority here, the 1/55 is something that never gets old.
  6. I would also like to get a few of these in red, white and gray.
  7. Hey Kidk, we need more of your custom 1/55's added to the customs page. I don't have any of RTH's stuff but I have all pictures taken of Jung's bad ass autographed Millia VF-1J. Like this one below. Once again Jung, much props!
  8. Back from the dead!!! Come on fellow customizers, let's see more customs added to the custom toy section.
  9. First of all, I agree with those who see Christopher Reeves as the only Superman. I actually liked his Clark Kent rendition because Superman was everything Kent was not. This night and day comparision could only help a superhero that doesn't wear a mask, because the glasses Kent wore just weren't enough. It is PAINFULLY obvious that Hollywood is saturated with NO TALENT writers who have to regurgitate old stories every 20 years because they lack the vision to create new and interesting ideas. Television is even worse. Reality TV anyone? I say make new movies about new heroes or original movies about old heroes that have never escaped the pages of a book. I for one really hope that Hollywood eventually makes a movie about The Micronauts!
  10. I know what your point was. By the way, it was 1982.
  11. Unless it is now the year 1992, the design is over 20 years old. The Takatoku's were originally produced around 1982. However, if I'm wrong and it really is 1992, I have a second chance to make up for A LOT of missed opportunities in my alternatre reality!
  12. Hello all. I am looking to borrow the Starblazers 1&2 season DVD's for about two weeks. I would of course pay the shipping and handling fees within the US that is. I've been a member of these forums for a long time and am on the straighshooters list, so you can trust me when I say that I just want to borrow them. I've been unable to find a place that rents them and I only want to watch them once, not collect the sets. Can anyone here help me out?
  13. Actually the reissues are slightly lighter than the older Bandai/Takatoku's. I took a reissue apart and compared it to one of my Jetfire's about 2 years ago. I discovered that Bandai's new molding techniques allow each piece to be casted with less plastic than the originals. However, this doesn't make them more fragile, just more economical to produce as well as easier on their fuel/power supply.
  14. Quality?! Bandai wrote the book on quality. Just imagine if Bandai decided to buy out Yamato and make the 1/48's themselves? No more cheap plastic, fragile parts and sub par paint jobs.
  15. After scanning all 79 pages, I have a question that I couldn't find the answer for. Does anyone know if we can order replacement parts from Takara for Convoy? I'm getting a Hasbro Masterpiece Prime and would like to exchange the circumcised smoke stacks.

    Nice custom

    Oh, how I miss vf1x.com.
  17. Loshu93 if my memory serves me correctly. Come to think of it, I still have his phone number. Maybe I'll give him a call and see if he still has some of that inventory. Actually, I'm looking for a few pieces of vintage armor that he probably has.
  18. Hey Max, I think you are referring to a guy on eBay named Loshu93. I've also heard a few people refer to his collection as "Valkyrie Heaven." I also live in the Bay Area and have spoken to him a few times. Actually, I have a picture of his collection but the error message keeps telling me that I can't upload this particular file. I'll get it sorted out to post for ya.

I agree. Chris Baretta made great 1/55 parts. I too have a 1/55 parts stockpile of his parts. Unfortunately over time, my stockpile has started to dwindle somewhat. Hey Anasazi, do you have a stockpile of Rob's parts as well? If so, I really need a few of his 1/55 DYRL VF-1A heads. I emailed him a while ago but he only had 1 left. He never mentioned whether or not he would be recasting more, so I assumed that he had just moved on to 1/48 parts. However, I could be wrong. How about it Rob?

    Nice custom

I'm honored to know that you appreciate my custom that much. When I made this one, I was looking to make an original custom without creating an unofficial Macross color scheme.

Thanks again for the apology. I feel obligated to explain the reason why I became so outraged at Vermillion One's post. A little over 2 years ago I placed this same VF-1B(minus the super armor) on eBay to make room on my shelfs for all the new customs I had made. There were about 5 bids on my auction and the highest bidder was Vermillion One himself. He didn't win however due to the reserve I had placed on the item. We actually had our first dialogue on MW and through eBay about this custom. Now that we've cleared this up, would you be willing to sell me one of these Strike cannons and heatshield?

    Nice custom

Actually, the KO parts are extremely firm. If they were otherwise, I wouldn't have used them. I originally made this custom for myself and was short on Jetfire parts. Believe it or not, the boosters and connector piece are from those old $5 bootlegs. I just gave them a little love.

I AM NOT RICK THE HUNTER!!! Surprisingly enough, there are others that like Macross that happen to be named Rick. I have tried my best for over 3 years to be a good upstanding member of these boards to have someone like you jump the gun and try to connect the dots between myself and RTH. If you have done transactions with him and know his full name, you can ask the members of the PARTIAL list below to try and verify if my name is the same as RTH. These names start with the most recent transactions to some of the earliest. Bottom line, at one time or another I have provided my information to these members. If I am Rick the Hunter they will know. I'm sure one of these members know Rick the Hunters full name because I don't. 24. I agree with you. In regards to Macross, I'll stay with the Bandai 1/55. As for Transformers, I have chosen the Alternators because they are guaranteed to have zero paint chipping. Also, wear and tear on the joints is lessened without the extra weight. I think Toonz has the right idea. Buy the Binaltechs for display and the Alternators to transform when you get The Urge.
  25. I second this request!
