  1. I to would love it if Bandai would produce more 1/55's. However, I think that they should leave at least one of the DYRL 1/55's out of their plans so that collectors have something that's special and rare. I really think that they should only release new variants as opposed to 3 more reissues. I believe that there are only 8 other variations that need to be made to make a truly complete collection. Here they are listed below. SDF Macross Television Valkyries 1) Max VF-1A 2) Kakizaki VF-1A 3) Alaska Base TV VF-1A (green paint scheme like Max and Kakizaki) 4) VF-1D 5) Angel Bird VF-1A DYRL Valkyries 6) Max VF-1A 7) Max VF-1S 8)Kakizaki VF-1A Please let me know if I've left anyone out. And please don't include the "VF-1R"
  2. I think that these ads make it a sure bet that Takatoku was going to make the Max VF-1A and the VF-1D next. If you notice in the second photo, both versions are there but have a primary color of gray. I'm not sure if that color works for the VF-1D, but the VF-1A Max would look Bad A**!!! Rick
  3. Here's another one that I think was a cool teaser that unfortunately never came to be.
  4. He guys, what's up? I think that we are able to see what the 1/55 additions were going to be by looking at some of the ads that Takatoku had placed in magazines and other advertisments. I know that the new versions shown were custom but they wouldn't have been advertised if Takatoku hadn't already decided on producing the new additions. I forget where I copied these pictures from, so I apologize for not being able to name the source. However that may be, I sure would like larger higher resolution versions of them to admire.
  5. Wow, he is bluealpha247! What a low-life bottom of the barrel dwelling loser. You know, sometimes I think that trash like that are only here because you couldn't have the good without the bad. In times like these, it's extremely dangerous to mess with people that you don't know. One day he may rip-off the wrong person and they just might be crazy enough to find him and take extreme action upon him or someone he cares about. I truly hope that this doesn't happen, but you never can tell. Rick
  6. Here is the link to an auction from one of our old friends. I really hope that the word "complete" in this auction means box included. If not, this person is getting taken to the bank. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...&category=36568
  7. Hey Greyryder, I don't suppose that this is the 1/55 with the swivel legs that you are referring to, is it? If so, this was made from a $5 bootleg by MW member Kingnor if I'm not mistaken. I pm'd him almost two years ago to show us how he accomplished this but he never got around to placing this in the "how to customize" section. I was able to do something like this with a $5 bootleg and one of those oversized 1/100 Roy Fokker valks that are currently on eBay. Basically, I just cut the mid leg section of the $5 boot into two parts, then took out the middle arm sections of the oversized 1/100 Roy's and placed them inside of the leg section. Of course there was a lot of space so I added epoxy putty to fill in the rest. I could post a picture of this if you'd like. Rick
  8. I'm also sure that the grey VF-1J is a bootleg. However, unless the feet, head antenna and the other like colored plastic has been replaced or painted, I'd say it's the Popy version with the yin-yang symbols on the wings and not a Joon's version. A little rarebut same quality though. RJ
  9. Here is a very dark screen cap of the Budweiser missile.
  10. This is a great idea Graham! Viewing customs by Jung, Rosario, RTH and Kid K were what brought back my interest in Macross a few years ago. I am thankful that we'll finally be able to look at several custom Valkyries like we were able to a few years ago. Well, until Bandai and Yamato valks flooded the market. I was getting tired of seeing collection after collection of mass produced valks. Now it's time to get to work on those customs! RJ
  11. Hello all. I am currently working on a custom 1/55 super valkyrie but am a little unsure of where to place the armor stickers. I have been able to find pictures of the original Takatoku box but none of the pictures are close enough or clear enough to show where to place the stickers on the 1/55 armor. That is why I am hoping someone has an original box that they can scan to help me out. Originally, I opened my reissue super valk to use as a reference but realized that the reissue armor doesn't come with the additional stickers that the Takatoku/Jetfire had. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  12. Last one. I have never seen a Bandai with such misaligned leg pieces. Also, the middle leg section is a little thicker on the left hand side.
  13. These are a little difficult to stay in place. Well at least on this particular one.
  14. Different, but really nice detail.
  15. Here are a few more pictures.
  16. Here are a few pictures of the legs that should show you that although these legs are closer to Bandai than Joon's, they are still a little inferior. My only questions is, are these legs any better than the Taiwan Super Valk? I have pieces that I believe are from the Bootleg Super but none that belong to the legs.

  18. I won an auction for an incomplete Hergoss over a year ago but have been unable to find the missing parts. The French website states that it is from "the same design as Bandai". Unfortunately, even though he owns 2, he is incorrect. The legs are from a very different and unknown design. They are definitely not Bandai.
  19. I am interested to know how many, if any MacrossWorld collectors have this item? If not, have you ever seen one in person?
