    okay my xbox finally played its last game...even had enough juice to spit out my game before it died. according to what the xbox rep said there is an internal problem with it (it flashes green then red) and there is no guarantee they can fix it. My question is there a place that buys back the core? I remember when my first ps one died, Funcoland offered $20 for the core towards the purchase of a refurbished ps one (which i have to this day, still works too). i already bought a refurbished xbox with a one year warranty, it was just a little more than what the xbox rep quoted me for repair cost plus it had a better warranty too. although i doubt it, perhaps ebay? maybe one of you guys has the skill to repair it....i don't know. thanks

    Thought the first girl was attractive, not a fan of the second one. Though I have to agree they do look done up glamour shots style.

    Cool, I will definately check these out. Oh and hell yeah I have Halo and Halo 2. Can you tell me a little more about Dai Senryaku, is it medieval samurai and ninjas or something? It sounds like something I would like.

    Waded through the last six pages, but didn't see an answer to what I am about to ask. Just wanted to double check that the ADV Macross Dub still allows you to see the Japanese original show with English subtitles. Also if this is so, are the subtitles updated or the same as the Animeigo set?

    Oh yeah, I forgot to add the Millenium Falcon to the list! I don't know what is worse though, parents not willing to get it at all or what my parents did. They bought the dang thing, brought it home then decided it was just too big and returned it. Never mind, what my parents did was worse Especially since I was in my room getting my figures ready for their new ship.

    I was just wondering what websites do you guys use to keep up with the games that come out. Right now the launch library for 360 is pretty small, but when they really start cranking out the games how do you keep up if you are not a hardcore gamer or work for the industry? I say this cause I have a tendency to buy a few games here and there then get left behind so to speak. It doesn't help that my local stores do not have a great variety. Also I am in the process of catching up with xbox titles that I missed out on so any help in that department would be great too.

    Toys, ...............I missed out when Lazer Tag first came out. Everyone in my neighborhood had one. I wanted the Rifle real bad and a Star Base, managed to buy a rifle at K Bee Toys and stashed it at a friends house but that didn't last long and had to return it. The closest thing I came to getting one was when Survivor Shot first came out, they worked with the original Lazer Tag Guns. This was in my late teens years after Lazer Tag went under, but the guys from the neighborhood still had their Lazer Tag stuff so I was finally able to play.

    I will have to check Far Cry Instincts out as well as Predator. I am not familiar with the games you suggested, but they sound like they are mostly fps games. Which ones are not fps and what category do they fall in? I also found a turned based/rts game called Goblin Commander is anyone familiar with it?

    While waiting on the next gen consoles libraries to get bigger before actually buying one, I've been looking at xbox games. Outside of the initial launch library I couldn't keep up with the games that came out and undoubtedly missed out on some otherwise good games. Like the title says, I found two on cnets "must have" list and was wondering if anyone here has played them and can tell me about them. I enjoy rpg, fps, strategy, turn based games (do they even make those anymore) star fighter shooters and do not like fighting or racing games. So if you also have suggestions for other games for me to check out, that would be great too.

    I wouldn't consider myself a marvel purist, but that movie was awful. I don't mind alternate universe X-Men story tangents, but after watching Spider-Man and how well it did I was expecting more. I just think it was wrong on so many levels. Half of the characters were not true to their incarnation at all, the special effects were flat, the storyline was cramped with too many archs, but most of all they ruined the phoenix story arch. I could go on but it barely gets a 2 out of 5. Just my 2 cents.

    Friendly Role Playing Game.... Gaming in person is definately more fun, soda, pizza, etc. I remember before discovering Macross my friends and I played Robotech (it was when it first came out). As kids it was fun, especially when the GM had a white dice that rolled an unusual amount of 20s. My friend Danny kept getting his helmet blown off as a cyclone rider. What was funny is he used to decorate his character sheet with pics of cyclones and for some reason he kept getting his helmet blown right off. He used to cry like a little girl and then tear off his decorations each time. At this point we would try and get him to stop with promises of a new helmet, but it never worked. Instead his dad would kick us all out, with the exception of him and his two brothers. His oldest brother Chris ran the games and eventually had to calm him down while keeping a straight face. Its been more than 18 years and we still give him sh*t for it.

    Wow you guys are speaking greek with all the specs you know about the different systems. Now that the pole seems invalid, which system do you think is the best one to get? I am saving up for one, but unfortunately I can only get the one. PS3 being a reach at $600. Right now I am leaning toward xbox360, but figured I would get some opinions first. I tend to like shooters, rpgs, D&D type games, command and conquer style games, and even the turn based games (although I am not sure these are made anymore). Fighting games like Tekken and such bore me though. What do you guys think?

    macrossroleplay.org? I'll have to check it out, I've never played online before. Good luck with trying to convert the palladium crowd. Never understood why that company never updates its system though. Probably a part of why they are going down hill along with that big theft of theirs.

    I noticed the same thing about the conversions, I think they are all based on Robotech info and not the Macross Compendium. Roy, too bad you are 10 hours away it would have been cool if us MWers could get together for this game. What message boards were you planning on joining? Were you going to GM it or just be a character?

    Thanks for the heads up Yellowlightman, overstock was a great place to go. While I was searching I didn't see V Gundam or ZZ Gundam, does this mean these are not out yet?

    I was just wondering now that E3 has come and gone what are the most anticipated titles you are waiting for and why. I say this as I am saving up to buy a console, most likely a XBox 360 and was looking for good games to watch out for.

    I've been debating on getting a PSP for a long while now. I was wondering what was your favorite games for it. I like shooters, rpgs, strategy, command and conquer style games and turn based games (don't think they make those anymore though) Also what features of the PSP do you use the most and which ones you don't.     Wow, other MW gamers in Northern CA! If Cruel Angel's Thesis wouldn't mind me tagging along (I don't mind traveling) that makes three of us. And I thought Grayson72 was just into macross models all this time. Cruel Angel's Thesis, do you pretty much stick with the book rules or have you modded some house rules? The last time I played a long while back was when Mekton II was in and the Tech book just came out.

    Just when I thought the Chinese government rumor was bogus, there they go! Oh and that back up plan (or was it thought out that way on purpose?) to get Logan to open his big mouth was sweet! Can't wait for next season!

    Didn't realize the Zeta Books were easy to find now. I looked on ebay and didn't see any though. Mind if I ask where you got them from? I use to have Mekton II and the Mekton Technical Guide. Thought the Technical Guide was great in its idea, it threw me off building mecha up.

    Wow, I haven't thought about Mekton since 2002. The last I knew Mekton Zeta and Mekton Zeta Plus were pretty hard to come by. Have they posted the basic and advanced rules up on the net? Or does one need to hunt down the out of print books? I once read that the basic rules were up somewhere, but the advanced rules were not.

    Don't mean to side track what you guys are chatting about. I was wondering if you could suggest places to get the UC Series on DVD for a good price. I was entertaining the thought of buying a lot of them, but I am not sure. Are all of them even available? The few places I saw don't have all of them and the AU stuff mixed in confuses me. I am in the U.S., Northern CA to be more exact. Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance!
