Sweet!! What Phren said....does it transform? What scale is it in and is there a vf-2ss counter part in the works?
-
TSP, that sucks! That's practically the same reason I had to scrounge the canopy from my vf-1s for my low vis strike. Too bad it wasn't just easy to order a bunch of small replacement parts from hlj. .....so does this mean replacement canopies might be in the works

hey Cap! pm sent - though in the same circumstances as RT junkie, but for a different reason. was there a certain time you needed a deposit or anything? thanks dax415

1/48 Variable Legioss Kit?
Dax415 replied to Retracting Head Ter Ter's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I managed to get 3 of the old legioss kits on ebay that were packaged as Gobots Leader One models that were only good for building (the packages were in awfull condition, but the kit itself was still sealed and unbroken) I'm a complete rookie when it comes to model building, so I built it in static Battroid mode and it came out well.....probably gonna throw the other 2 back on ebay to help pay for Captain Americas Tomahawk So if you build in static mode, it shouldn't be as difficult to build as in variable mode. -
Was just wondering if anyone else was keeping up with these kits, checked out the option packs too and they look really cool. How popular are these things anyway? Looks like there's only 3 types with a 4th on the way. Anyone else with pictures of their builds? How difficult would these be for a beginner? I have an airbrush, but have never tried anything beyond an easy low vis color scheme. Thanks Dax415

If anyone does this I need one for a hasegawa vf-1s valkyrie fighter. Please let me know, thanks!

I was just curious how outdated the proposed gaming rig, the one i first stated is?
-
wow, this gives me more options, what do you guys think of the set up in the link?
-
thanks for the awesome tips, but unfortunately price is a big factor. if you are wondeering what i'm upgrading from....its not even a pentium 4 desktop! so i guess you can say practically any new computer is an upgrade. The games i want to play are Battlefield 2142, Star Trek Legacy, F.E.A.R.: Extraction, Titan Quest, Neverwinter Nights, Neverwinter Nights 2, and a few others i saw at Best Buy. my budget is $1,000 but i also need to get a 19" monitor, keyboard, mouse and speakers. i have also thought of getting a laptop, if i can sell a few things of mine i could come up with $450 more but that's stretching it. anyway let me know what you guys think. i can wait a month and a half to do this, so that's what i'm looking at.

stay away from rosewill huh?...i'll keep that in mind for sure! thanks mondamoto. the computers i have also use kensington without any problem whatsoever. so i'll probably be going with those as well.
-
that would be awesome!! i also have to get a monitor, speakers, keyboard and mouse for it. Hurin, what do you mean G PU rather than C PU? thanks!
-
yes the vid cards are are large part of the cost, i also suspect by the time the mag was written and the time i picked it up at best buy yesterday there have been a few price drops which is what i was hoping for. any suggestions or fine tuning of proposed gaming rig is very much appreciated!

just to let you know, i'm not a hardcore gamer,....but for the first time i saw about 7 PC games i definetly intend on buying and playing. which has led me to want to build a gaming computer....besides i need to upgrade from the ancient computer i have now. so its a kill two birds with one stone sort of deal.

proposed specs: Power Supply: Enermax EG701AX-VE SFMA [24P] 600 watt CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3500+ [socket 939] Motherboard: ASUS A8N-SLI ATX RAM: Rosewill 1GB [2 x 512MB] Video Cards: Two PNY Geforce 7800 GTs Optical Drive: Plextor PX-740A Floppy: MITSUMI USB 2.0 & FDD Digital Card Reader FA404A/404M Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar SE 320GB, Serial ATA150 Sound Card: Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic OS: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition with Service Pack 2 apparently i could also opt for the ASUS's onboard audio instead of the X-Fi, but i'm not sure if i should do that. oh, the video cards are 256MB of memory...... Edit: Forgot to add.... Case: Aspire X-Navigator ATXA8NW-AL/500

saw a mag detailing how to build a gaming pc, but doesn't mention the pros and cons of using one video card as opposed to the suggested two video cards. can anyone here clue me in on this? i was thinking about building one but i need to reduce the projected $1,250 price tag (that's the 2 video card rig). thanks for the help.

i was just wondering if there were any cool modifications out there for the 360, has any one tried to modify if for a conventional hard drive use. i remember being at fry's electronics and came across a book detailing how to hack the old xbox and add a keyboard and use it like a regular computer. i think there were other uses as well. has anything come up for the 360? just how important is the hard drive for the system? i'm not a hard core gamer, so i was wondering how much space a 360 game takes up on the memory. thanks
-
okay, pardon my ignorance...but what is the big deal with HDMI for a game console? what does it do/offer? thanks
-
Fugly!? They look way better than an MPC and from the pics at least comparable to a yamato 1/60...okay maybe not that far but they get a thumbs up from me.

Are the 1/100 Valks and Fast Packs up for pre order anywhere? If so which place has the best deal on these? Any help would be great!

well in case anyone was wondering, gamestop will give $20 for a busted xbox...more if its still working (how much i don't know). @vf-zx2 you might want to see how much busted ones are going for on ebay as well as what eb games will give you. looks like ebay is the better bet though. -

would you happen to know what exactly what HD would be best to try this out? do i just look on the box and try to match the specs with the replacement HD? unfortunately i do not know much about computers, i have a friend who has some rudimentary skills but he is on vacation at the moment. any help would be appreciated. @ Apollo Leader yes the original xbox uses the red ring of death too. though i take it that its not a good sign the 360 does as well. does this mean your 360 died? such a early death for such a new system,...that is why i have decided to wait on buying a 360..besides not enough games are out for it. -

Noticed the video game wizards weren't on yesterday, hopefully one of you guys will be on today. I don't want to waste a potentially salvageable core so any help with this would be appreciated. Later on I hope it doesn't bother anyone if I bump the thread.
