    I'd say those are more likely to be unused early designs for Freyja and Hayate.

    But that's from Bandai's Mecha Collection, a cheap line (¥500 each one) coming this april, that's why the cockpit is not clear (and I even doubt it's going to look like that without some painting), I'm sure TomyTec's version will look much better in the end.

    Same here, I liked what I saw from Messer and Kaname in the preview episode, my only problem is that I don't like the head of Messer's VF-31 too much.

    I'm liking the red(?) valkyrie more at the moment but I need to see battroid mode to decide The planet in the logo gives me hope that the story will take place on a planet rather than on another emigration fleet. Are there going to be more than one? I hope it's just one, for no other reason than that frontier already did it and I don't want to see it again so soon, although it was so successful in frontier that I can see them trying to repeat it.

    Finally! something new about this. This image helped me to see the two valkyries: The front valkyrie seems to have forward swept wings but it doesn't look like a VF-19 or 29 to me and it doesn't look like a YF-30 either, so maybe it's a completely new design. The one at the top could be a VF-27 but it looks like a type of ghost to me, or maybe I'm seeing things because the angle and the quality of the image don't help. Anyway, I can't wait for the live stream which hopefully I'll be able to watch, it'll be on Oct 29 12 pm right?

    I would gladly give my money for a Macross the Ride manga, but sadly it was just a special side story titled "D-days" that came with the Visual Book vol. 2

    I must say that even though I would prefer and think it's overall better for the next series to be completely original instead of a remake or an adaptation of something else, I would not mind an adaptation of Macross the Ride. Or at least they should hire the same character designer for the new series, I mean Risa Ebata did a good job with frontier but the characters of the Ride look great. I'm not 100% sure, but I read somewhere that Chelsea Scarlett (the main character of Macross the Ride) tried to become a singer/idol when she was young, there's even a special manga chapter where she sings: And I think that along the story there's a love triangle developing between Chelsea, Hakuna and Magdalena (the character chart I posted up, shows that Chelsea changes from "team mate" to "Kōi/love" the same Magdalena has), so in the end, Macross the Ride has the three main themes or "pillars" of any macross animation or they could always change things a bit if it's not enough.

    Apparently they will release it on DVD and Bluray later this year. And I agree, this was really well done, much better than other attempts even "professional" attempts like that awful Chun-li movie. I hope they can make a second season to continue with the story and include some of the other characters.

    The main mecha is named "The Fool", the red one that looks like a samurai is "Furin Kazan" and the white one that belongs to Caesar is "Quo Badis". There are a couple more that haven't been shown I think.

    It reminded me of Escaflowne too, I liked the first episode so I'll keep watching. As for the mechas, I agree that the main one doesn't look that great, but apparently it will have an armor and the other mechas look awesome in my opinion, here's a scan with more of the mechas:

    I'm not sure if this goes here or in the Games section but anyway. It has been announced a blu-ray release of Macross Do You Remember Love in July with the DYRL Hybrid Pack. This Hybrid Pack will come with a game titled "My Boyfriend is a Pilot 2012", the release date will be July 26 for 7140yen. There will also be a 30th Anniversary Box release for Macross DYRL.     Who would have thought that Robotech fans get their news/rumors from a Macross forum?, now I'm feeling bad for posting that part of the interview here (all is going according to plan ). I was just reading that interview to see if Pumyra would appear in the second season of Thundercats, and then I noticed that last part, it was just a coincidence really.

    Well there are people who would actually like to reboot Robotech, for example they could hire Michael Jelenic. He is one of the producers and writer of the new Thundercats reboot (which by the way is good IMO), he even has shown interest in doing it.     Let me help you with that <----- Oh and here's a video of a mission where Ozma appears with his YF-29, you can see it clearly in fighter mode. I wanted to see it in battroid mode like in this one but hopeflly someone will upload a video using it instead of fighting against it. Ozma's YF-29 appears at 4:40

    This episode was much better than the last one, and with that end I can't wait to see next week's episode. It's already confirmed that each season will have 26 episodes and that they have planned two seasons for now. Here is a list with the tittles for the first 26 episodes, I'm not sure how official this list is but it's been accurate until now, just beware that there are some spoilers.
